I thought that was pretty high for this meal. In its defense it’s very tasty, but not unique. I can see why this place is popular. Tomatillo sauce is very good, not hot whatsoever despite it being labeled as spicy, still worth trying. The nachos I also tried but not pictured, they were honestly a bit of a let down. Maybe I didn’t get them fresh but they aren’t bad, but not as amazing as I’ve heard raved about. Overall I was satisfied with my meal.“
“I went there for lunch with three friends. It was sprinkling and cold so we went inside instead of the covered patio area. Inside was very noisy, we could barely hear ourselves speak. The area is small with a huge bar. Next time we come we will try the patio area. The food and service were great.“

“I have been going to Union Jack Fish and Chips for about 20 or 25 years now. The fish and chips are very good, even compared to some higher end places that make fish and chips. Now the cod filets are sort of long triangular shaped, which might make you think, 'processed filets'. BUT, they are not formed from different parts of the fish, they are cut that way from the solid white meaty part of the fish. They cook them to order, so when you get the bag it is piping hot! The fried batter is crispy but not tough, thick but not so thick that you can't taste the fish and they are not greasy like a lot of restaurants make them. The place is not much to look at and they only have 3 or 4 tables, but what they lack in ambience they more than make up for in delicious fish and chips.“

“Tried a new place as our favorite Chinese restaurant closed a while back. Been searching for a new place. We stumbled on to Eggroll King. It is a small restaurant so sitting is limited. We ordered chicken eggrolls, egg flower soup, walnut shrimp and moo shu shrimp. Everything was delicious. Everything is made to order and not sitting for hours. Tom the manager was very friendly and attentive. We asked about Chinese New Years and stated, in his restaurant on that day, the wait times could be extremely long. He stated to plan ahead because it could be up to 2 hour wait times. He also stated the same for Christmas Eve and New Years Eve as well. We will be back to try additional items on the menu.“

The $4 extra for live/fresh seafood is totally worth it. The seafood platter comes with delicious bread, which was perfect when dipped in the sauce! The crispy calamari was delicious (batter wasn’t too thick). The hot stone pho was average. I personally didn’t notice a significant difference between pho in a hot stone bowl vs regular pho. My bf loved the garlic noodles, but I thought it needed more flavor. All the items we got I would probably give 5/5 stars except for the pho and the garlic noodles, which I would give 3/5 stars“

All the once-popular spots in 626 like Elite and Sea Harbor have faded away from their glory. This place has great value and great tasting food. Their milk tea is top notch and I just tried their pineapple "bo lo" custard bun (which I never usually get) and it actually has bits of pineapple in it. Only high end dim sum places in hk would actually go that extra step. You really can't go wrong with anything here. If you decide to venture into something different, we like to get their Singaporean stir fried vermicelli. I hope they incorporate some hk cafe style items in the future (baked pork chop/Portuguese chicken rice).“
