“Really great food and nice vibes. Recommend the Nashville hot fish, salmon crudo, and the toffee butter cake. The lobster roll has a good amount of lobster but was just ok. My entree also came out late and the affogato was weird, more just a coffee with a dollop of ice cream on top, but overall a good meal.“

“It was a great experience and I would highly recommend this place. We had the Mahi Mahi and the scallops, both were great. Service was good, the server was kind and very experienced. The only thing I would suggest is that they either upgrade the light fixtures or at least replace all the bulbs or something... nothing more annoying than florescent lights flickering over your head, while you are trying to enjoy some ambiance and a nice view, at $$$ restaurant.“

“Dined here this evening. We enjoyed some Cocktails to start then ordered Beef Tartare, Shrimp with Veg and Roasted Carrots. Entrees varied from Pasta to Ribeye steak and Burger. All delicious. The Carbonara needed more bacon but that was the only issue. Desserts were great. The Espresso wasn’t hot enough for my guest but overall we enjoyed the evening celebrating a birthday. Will recommend to my friends for sure. Would recommend a reservation as it was very busy by the time we left at 6.30 pm“

“I’ve had the garlic shrimp, salt and pepper shrimp, house crab, braised pork, fried salmon but I really dig the sausage dish because it’s really hard to find good Khmer sausage that is a bit tangy and tonight, A & J’s hit the spot, big time! Topped it off with their iced coffee and now I’m in my happy space. Yummy!“

“Came here for a business dinner and was seated outside on a beautiful evening. Started off with a mix of oysters and the Cevichos. Both were excellent. Then the 5 of us went different directions for our mains, but my Squid Ink Linguini was top notch! Our server this evening was Chase K. He did excellent and we would love to come back here. Really good restaurant!“

“We ordered Dinner combo 9. We got our order after 15 minutes, which was quick. We tried the red snapper, and it's was good. The seasoning needs more spices, but the light coating was okay. The fried oysters were tasty, and the shrimp hit the spot. The sauces need to have more zing and tang to it. The fries had less salt but were not crispy enough. They have lots of fish to choose from. They also have chicken menu.Overall, this was a good place to order seafood and take out dinner. They don't have tables inside, so you have to eat in the car or take it home.“

“I have been ordering fresh uni from Maruhide for some time, and I have never been disappointed. They are at the mercy of elements and natural factors like spawning, which impact availability. However, when they do have it, it is far superior to anything I can get at my local Japanese markets.
Recently, I have noticed they are developing new products and offering other gourmet Japanese foods like A5 Japanese wagyu, uni pasta kits, caviar, and soba kits. I have tried most of these products and have been extremely satisfied, especially with the soba! In my opinion, it truly rivals the fresh soba I get at restaurants that make their noodles on-premise. It's much better than any dried brands I've tried. I highly recommend it!
I have always been impressed with the quality of their uni, and now their other products are equally as good. Maruhide has become my go-to for gourmet Japanese foods.
One more thing: delivery. It is always well packed and arrives overnight. I live locally to the processing plant so I could pick it up, but why bother when the packaging and delivery are so excellent?“

“Nick’s food and service doesn’t disappoint! Menu options are great, and they’ll take a classic comfort dish such as a meat loaf to a gourmet degree. Service is impecable too. Worth every dollar you spend here in every aspect! They have my respect and heart! ♥️“

“It was over a decade ago but I still remember my first meal here. This is a locals long standing hole in the wall. Owner is a straight up american tale. He also makes a mean Clam Chowder. The only reason why I don't think it has more reviews is that it's location may seem out of the way for most. People make the trek to come here because the food is simple, hearty, memorable and as fresh as wild catch gets. It's probably the best seafood in all of LA. At the very least, it's worth trying out.“

“Thai chicken curry pizza was cooked to perfection. Nice well done crust, bouncy cheese, subtle curry flavor, so divine.
Grilled beef salad was a bit spicy, but well balanced sweet sour n salty flavor typical of Thai cuisine.
Establishment did not have AC. Ordered togo
Parking: About 10 parking spaces in the plaza shared with 3-4 establishments“

“We've been here a few times for lunch because our work is nearby. Always very friendly service. Food is good! For a good lunch and relaxing atmosphere, not much else you can ask for. Don't know if they have their own parking, but usually we park on the street. It's an industrial area, so lots of trucks driving by. Overall good place for lunch“

“Very good, ordered the Captains Platter and added sausage. Was enough for three almost 4 people. Only item not what we had hoped was the appetizer Campechana. It was not the flavor profile desired. Flavor of the individual items overrun with the sauce.“

“Been there several times and will keep going back! The food, service and prices are good. Sometimes you may need to be patient because it gets very busy and there's only so much a server can do. As long as you understand that, this place will not disappoint! Highly recommend!“

“1st time ordering here. I normally don’t order rolls b/c I don’t tolerate all that Mayo, different sauces and fake Kray.
I ordered the shrimp tempura roll which was the shrimp, avocado, and cucumber 🥒. LOVED IT! 5 ⭐️
The nigiri 🍣 was sooooo fresh, every piece melted like butter in my mouth even after refrigerating some pieces for later (I ordered too much & had to break up the meal) 5 ⭐️“

“Came here to watch the Pittsburg Buffalo game great service. Great big screens. Service was exceptional. Salmon burgers and clam chowder Yum. Went to the LBT first but they would not turn up the sound because someone had already put $20 in the jukebox. Never heard this during playoffs. Doesn’t matter now, this is a perfect place. The bar and staff are wonderful!!!! Check them out. New owners too“

“Went for Happy Hour in the bar. Prices are in red on the menu.
Arrived around 5pm on a Thursday, bar was about half full.
Spouse ordered Lemon Drop, I had diet coke and Vodka. She said her drink was really good, mine was the usual.
Waitress brought a small loaf of bread with butter. It was excellent.
Ordered steak sandwich and a chicken sandwich.
Service was excellent. We must have had 3 people check in with us at least 5 times.
Took 20-25 minutes for the food, which seemed a bit excessive.
Both sandwiches were very good. Bun for steak sandwich was ok but would have loved to have that sandwich on the same bread they gave us with butter. Fries were eh. They were freshly cut and fried, but a bit soft not crunchy and semi warm.
Loaf of bread was the best part.
Tab was around $70 for two with tip.“

“Heritage Restaurant, Long Beach – A Well-Earned Michelin Star by Michael Broderick. In a city where “Californian” culinary ambition often plays second fiddle to casual dining, Heritage in Long Beach has carved out a place of quiet excellence, earning a well-deserved Michelin star. This intimate dining experience is a testament to ingredient-driven, technique-forward cooking, where flavors are both restrained, unpretentious, and deeply expressive. From the first bite, it was clear that Heritage excels at layering textures and flavors in unexpected ways. The meal began with an Amuse Bouche trio: a delicate prawn cracker topped with sweet Dungeness crab, a green leaf with another seafood salad that was to be eaten like a mini street taco, and balanced with the brightness and light crunch of pickled turnip. A seemingly simple couple of bites, but one that foreshadowed the precision and thoughtfulness of the courses to follow. To cleanse the palate, a mint tea infused with palo santo was served—a meditative interlude that was both refreshing and aromatic, setting the stage for the evening’s journey. The first official course, Crème Caviar, featured Russian Sturgeon Heritage Caviar and chive, a chilled preparation that was rich yet elegantly restrained. This was followed by Kanpachi Crudo, presented with carrot, ginger, and macédoine vegetables, offering a balance of clean ocean flavors against bright, vegetal undertones. Then came what I consider the star of the evening: a dish that fully captured the ethos of Heritage—Hen of the Woods Mushroom, topped in a “sunchoke stew” (crispy fried sunchoke) with fermented mushroom. For an additional $25, an indulgent shaving of black truffle took the dish to another level, transforming it into a sensory experience that evoked the deep, earthy satisfaction of foraging. The interplay of umami-rich elements made this course a masterpiece of textural and flavor contrast. The proteins that followed were executed with equal care. First, a perfectly prepared Rainbow Trout, sauted to perfection with a crispy layer of skin on one side, delicate pink flesh on the other, bathed in a delicate dashi and punctuated with bursts of smoked trout roe in a light creme sauce, which lent salinity and depth. Then, a 32-day dry-aged rib chop, a cut that can sometimes lean too “gamey” in the tradiinal steak house that cuts corners on a post aging trim, yet here was a revelation—tender, deeply beefy, but balanced. Accompanying the dish was sous vide endive, black garlic, and a shaving of Parmesan, which surprisingly lacked the usual sharpness, instead presenting a more rounded, delicate, nutty flavor. Desserts were a study in technique and balance. The first, a Grilled Strawberry with strawberry granita and Meyer lemon crème, was bright and refreshing, its layers revealing different expressions of cool and sweetness. Then came the Coco Craquelin, a delicate choux pastry filled with beurre noisette ganache and banana cremeux, meant to be eaten with the hands—a playful and interactive moment in the meal. Finally, a Sage Basque Cake, its subtle herbaceousness complemented by toasted hemp seeds and lemon curd, provided a grounding, crispy finish. Heritage is the kind of restaurant that doesn’t simply chase trends—it refines them into something personal, something intentional. The execution is confident but never showy, and the experience is paced with precision, allowing each dish to tell its own story. This is not just a meal—it’s a quiet, profound meditation on flavor, technique, and the land from which it all comes. Where other restaurant profess to be a true “Californian” style farm to table experience , Heritage is, without a doubt, a must-visit for anyone who seeks out truly exceptional dining in California.“
