This intimate dining experience is a testament to ingredient-driven, technique-forward cooking, where flavors are both restrained, unpretentious, and deeply expressive. From the first bite, it was clear that Heritage excels at layering textures and flavors in unexpected ways. The meal began with an Amuse Bouche trio: a delicate prawn cracker topped with sweet Dungeness crab, a green leaf with another seafood salad that was to be eaten like a mini street taco, and balanced with the brightness and light crunch of pickled turnip. A seemingly simple couple of bites, but one that foreshadowed the precision and thoughtfulness of the courses to follow. To cleanse the palate, a mint tea infused with palo santo was served—a meditative interlude that was both refreshing and aromatic, setting the stage for the evening’s journey. The first official course, Crème Caviar, featured Russian Sturgeon Heritage Caviar and chive, a chilled preparation that was rich yet elegantly restrained. “Our server Laura was very pleasant and attentive. We came in on Father's Day which is busy everywhere. Parking lot full and there was a line when we went inside, but it went by fairly quickly. We were seated within 10 minutes time. Food was fresh, salad bar stocked, and ice cream available. Happy with the location for years and will be back.“

“Had the grilled fish sandwich. It was a nice piece of the catch of the day. It was grilled perfect. It was placed on a fresh roll with lettuce, tomato, onion and a very good sauce. It was served with fries. We upgraded it to truffle parmesean fries. They were delicious. Our server was very good. The food came quickly. We will go back!“

I got the Cajun plate my bf got the coco tempura roll along with a California roll . They have self served sauces on the side which are very good as well. “I finally have a local, good, and cost effective place near my house. So far I’ve had their cheese burger and fish ceviche. The burger was big and juicy. The fries were great. The fish ceviche was spiced so if you don’t like spice like me, ask them to put the vinaigrette on the side and add to your liking. But a good overall place that I recommend. They also do take out and call in for pick up. They do Door Dash and Grub hub too.“

“We sat on nicely warmed outdoor patio watching the fun street scene pass us by. Creative options on the menu made it hard to choose. Exellent, beautifully presented wedge salad, seafood chowder and salmon were the winners. In the seafood chowder, at $18, we didn't expect a lot of seafood. It was more of a mushroom cream soup with delicious bread and some fish, which suited us fine. The salmon with couscous was perfectly prepared and a generous portion. The salad was also generous sized and creative. Service was excellent and non-intrusive. We parked right in front, free meter after 6 or 7pm. Fun to walk the area afterwards, see all the new places and Chapter II coffee which is open late and apparently turns into an alternative non-bar bar type scene with low lights and louder music. All in all, second street makes for a great date night.“

“We ordered 2 of the Mahi shrimp tacos with beans and rice and the shrimp salad. The food was pretty good. The lady that took our order was friendly and polite. The couple negatives would be as they were making our food, one of the workers were picking out the bad pieces of iceberg lettuce from the tray with their bare hands. The other was we didn't realize they did not include our rice and beans. We did not check our bag until we arrived home. It was only a couple $$ and after a long day of being on the road we didn't feel like going back. It was close to closing time for them and I do not doubt if we went back they would have fulfilled our order. I would just recommend on takeout to check your order before leaving and also for the employee to wear gloves.“

“Mariscos Sol Y Mar is so good. You will love it. It is a small chain, but each place is a little different. We really like this one. It is not huge and I think a lot of their food is to go and they also deliver. It is super clean and the people that work there seem happy.

The service is great and they are pretty fast. I don't know if they take reservations, we just walk in and have never had a wait more than 5 minutes.

It is really cute inside and it is comfortable. Some of them also have outdoor seating.

We love all of their fish dishes. They have the best shrimp cocktails and the ones we get have avocado on them. The sauce is great and the shrimp is fresh.

Any fish taco you want will be super. If you get a plate of food it comes with beans and the best rice, it is not the orange rice, it is white and ever so tasty. It does not matter what you order, it is all good.

“I’ve been coming here a handful of times, and boy this places never fails. I was browser through Google maps checking out restaurants, and this spot looked promising. Since then, I’ve been making the mission to come and eat here for fresh, well cooked seafood and their micheladas is probably one of the best tasting ones around the LA county.

I tried a few dishes here, yet I stick with ordering the pulpo tostadas, shrimp tacos and a Michi. Pulpo is cooked very tender and soft, just darn right and never over cooked where it’s rubbery or tough. It’s always cooked just right and the serving is an amazing portion. It’s enough to fill you up.

The shrimp tacos are flavorful, and the shrimp is lightly battered. The taco isn’t skimped out on the amount of shrimp and toppings, and the sauces used aren’t spicy but enjoyable adding extra flavor to the food.

Michis are served in a big cup but the mix used and the chamoy rim is to die for honestly.

In the past I’ve gotten fish chicharrones, and this dish is very delightful, not super greasy, and packs a punch.

Service is friendly, and the lady who’s usually at the cashier is so nice, including her assistant.

I highly recommend. It’s so worth the try. You won’t be disappointed.“
