“Last night we went to Speak Cheezy on 4th St at Termino. First off, EXCELLENT customer service! We had the Shroomday Button (Oyster and Maitake Mushrooms/ White Wine Braised Leeks / Truffle Cheese / house stretched mozzarella / shredded mozz / parsley / post oven of lemon zest. *We love to add Hobbs Sausage*). I added that delicious sausage and loved that pizza! We also had the Bloomsdale (garlicky bloomsdale spinach / hand stretched mozzarella / shredded mozzarella /pecorino / smoked ricotta / gaeta olive / za’atar / feta salsa verde)... and YUM! And we decided to try the Garden of Farms Little Gem Caesar Salad (little gems / kewpie caesar dressing / pizza croutons / anchovies / Ribbons of Fiscalini Gold / soft cooked egg). Again, tasty, tasty, tasty. Speak Cheezy sure seems to use high-end products in the creation of their pizzas and salads. Everything was top notch. That salad was so yummy with that incredible salad dressing and the jammy soft cooked egg. I want another one to eat with my lovely pizza leftovers. :)“

Unfortunately, the service was terrible. They charge for refills on drinks (cokes and diet cokes) and the waiter took forever to do anything. For reference, there were three groups seated in the restaurant at the time we went. We thought he might have been new, which is understandable, but it was crazy slow even for a newbie.“

“This is a nice restaurant, not too big, not too small. The food was delicious! This is the best chicha morada I ever tried! I loved it!!! The day I went with my kids, the person who was cooking was the same person who was attending, we were only 2 tables, but he did a good job! Speechlees with the chaufa mixto! Was deliciousss!!

Supported by a very beautiful list of natural and original wines, a relaxed but attentive service, in a cool and classy atmosphere, this place can really brighten up your beginnings or ends of the evening, see your cinema screenings since it offers you a drink glass during your movie. “We love Marlena and try to support it every chance we get! Everything - from the ambiance to the service to the food - is such a treat. We could not love the cheesecake and gelato more (oh man, the salted caramel flavor just slayed us). I also had the best duck of my life there a while back (please bring back the duck!). We also love all the salads and options for enjoying plants/veggies along with high quality proteins. Also great wine and cocktails. Just such a gem that is sorely needed in LB! I still need to try their coffee but hoping for a gluten free pastry / breakfast option (I would def eat the cheesecake for breakfast - just saying!).

“Dined here this evening. We enjoyed some Cocktails to start then ordered Beef Tartare, Shrimp with Veg and Roasted Carrots. Entrees varied from Pasta to Ribeye steak and Burger. All delicious. The Carbonara needed more bacon but that was the only issue. Desserts were great. The Espresso wasn’t hot enough for my guest but overall we enjoyed the evening celebrating a birthday. Will recommend to my friends for sure. Would recommend a reservation as it was very busy by the time we left at 6.30 pm“

My entree also came out late and the affogato was weird, more just a coffee with a dollop of ice cream on top, but overall a good meal.“

“We are visiting from Austin, Texas for a conference in Long Beach. We ate at Ellie’s on a Thursday night and had a wonderful experience. The food was exceptional, our server Tuesday was a sweetheart and very professional, and the patio seating was perfect for the weather.

The manager, Molly, came and spoke with us at the end of our meal to see how we enjoyed our meal. It’s clear that Molly’s leadership and the great team at Ellie’s make this a well reviewed place. We will definitely return on future trips to SoCal!“

We all liked our food - it was "good" (OK would sound as if any of us had been unhappy) - good burgers and fries. Unless I would be asked by someone to join particularly there, I doubt I would go again. It's not a "No" to the restaurant itself, it is a "Yes" to all the other great places on the same street I have not explored yet. So again, if you want to check out games and have a great night out with like-minded, this is highly recommended.“

“It is a calm environment, the sunset looks very beautiful. I like that you order online and pay, so there's no problem splitting bills when you go with friends. The cheese on the nachos is delicious 🤤 although I found the meat very seasoned (I don't really enjoy strong seasonings) the pretzel was delicious, the potatoes too. In general the food and drinks were very good. What I didn't like very much was the service, there are so many people that the waiters are in a hurry, one of them spilled the beer on the jacket of one of the customers and didn't seem to care much. The food comes out without a name (many times) so at large tables it is difficult to know who it belongs to and there is a lot of noise. There are also no tables for large groups so if there are more than 8-10 they will probably all be at separate tables.

Parking: There is free parking; However, it tends to get crowded, we saw a sign that said 3 hours Parking but it took a little longer and everything was fine

Kid-friendliness: Not much, although some couples brought their children, there is alcohol for sale and there is no children's area“

“I go for the chicken and fries its always fried fresh the price is reasonable cause u cant pay for getting food right out the skillet thank Louisiana fried chicken/Roma pizza they have a great deall in mini pizza and drink I get that for my grandson he really enjoy it“

“This place is easily one of the best sushi spots on 2nd street, delicious options with plentiful portions. I tried the Mexican, AAA roll and the deep fried California roll with all 3 being stellar. The atmosphere is lively and the greeting when you walk in from the sushi chefs is nice ?

This was my first time at Broken Spirits distillery. Came oodles of times at Portuguese Bend distillery so it the restaurant is similar yet different at the same time. Major differences for me: I feel like this is more of a BBQ based restaurant/distillery with all the meat on the menu. (Don't get me wrong, I love the meat!). We ordered and shared the 16 oz prime New York steak ($44.99) which also comes with two sides! This is a killer deal that I would def come back for. For sides we got broccolini and fried Brussels. ( Alone they're $7 side). TBH, I kind of enjoyed the sides a bit more than the entree itself, but both were great.

Cocktails were yummy too as they were about avg price for LA county at $14 each. Came fast and tasted great!

There is plenty of seating inside and service was great. Parking is close in the garage across the street if there is no street parking.

“A hidden gem for the poetically inclined. I was among poetic legends last week. Caught a great performance and got to see some fellow spoken word artists. This place is the spot if you wanna get a drink alone or with a friend. Come check out some poetry or get a drink. You wont regret it.“
