“Meet Me at the Mary.

Most Tuesdays the Queen Mary has an event called Meet Me at the Mary. You must make reservations online. 4-8 pm. Gives you free access to the whole ship, parking is discounted to $10. (you must validate at the bar).

You cannot beat the atmosphere and view. 1930's decor. Live band with singer, playing big band music.

You can self-tour the ship before or after. (Engine room closes at 6pm).

They discontinued happy hour prices November 2025.

Food was great. We had a Flatbread (Queen Mary 3 Stacks, sorry we ate half in the picture) and Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Bistro Chips.

“Been here a bunch of times. Great custom cocktails all their own plus all the classics. They probably have every type of liquor you can think of. Great service--they always hand you a menu as soon as you come in the door. Order your drinks at the bar--might have to work you way between people sitting at the bar. They don't take orders from the seating area, I've seen people leave thinking they are not getting served. Just order at the bar. Good drinks and good wine and beer options too. NOT a great place for large groups.“

“The food is amazing 10/10 but the outdoor patio dinning is awful. You cannot have a conversation because the sound echos so loudly and when the staff moves tables around they drag it along the tile and all of the tables have to stop and wait till they are done to be able to speak again with your table.“

From the red lanterns to the nook style row of chairs by the bar, the entire ambiance mimics the hole in the wall Japanese bars of shinjiku and shibuya. Almost every nostalgic Japanese whiskey and gin is available in well curated cocktails. The paid vacation was my choice“

If all dishes as flavorful as the Lamb” Secco” Then YES Not cheap , but If I am spending $40-50 person ,the food had Better taste like this. Also good: basic Margherita Pizza. “It's not a bad place. It's a good stop for a cold beer. Especially for me because I am in a Handiman scooter when I am running out of power. They always let me charge up myt scooter while I have a beer. Otherwise I will not make it home. And some days it's not a laughing matter. It's that close of a call. The bartender seems nice. But she is busy with other people. And that is good for business.“

“Rare I give 5 stars in all sections but well deserved. Panama joes next door was over crowded so I tried this spot. It was a World Cup game. Service was kind all the way through and they followed up. The chefs really care about the food. Presentation and taste was on point. Had the salmon and a taco. I stopped in here last night because I'm traveling solo and wanted a safe place to hang out around like-minded queer folks. Brought a notebook because I didn't feel like staring at my phone. Disappointingly, I was heckled by a patron who insisted I was straight, didn't belong, and was only there because I wanted attention. They weren't quiet about it. Appeared to be a regular.

The staff were otherwise kind and welcoming. I wish I could give this place 5 stars, but I do feel that general social atmosphere is a pretty major contributor to overall quality/safety, especially in queer-forward spaces.“

“Ate lunch Mother’s Day so understandably was a busy day. We made a reservation and they sat us quickly. Brought us water timely. We ordered drinks, appetiser
and our lunch. Although we had some mishaps with getting our food timely and sending one meal back, everyone took very good care of us and treated us well. The food was great. The Rib Eye was huge.(not pictured) Desserts were fabulous. We will definitely be eating here again.“

“Tantalum is one of our favorite restaurants in Long Beach. The ambiance is fantastic, with a beautiful waterfront setting and a great atmosphere whether you’re there for brunch, dinner, or drinks. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Weekends can get very busy, but if you make a reservation, getting seated is usually quick and easy. The food selection offers something for everyone, and we’ve consistently enjoyed our meals. They have wonderful, creative cocktails that I’ve tried and never been disappointed. The pizza is wonderful as well. Please try it. The only downside is that it is a very small place for the number of people that arrive; no dance floor, only one pool table, and hard to order a drink because of the very crowded bar. However, it is a very good spot for the Black community and for anyone, of course. Everyone was so happy to be here. This was my first time visiting, and I am confident I have found a new local to hang out at.“

The atmosphere is super trendy, light, and open, and I absolutely love all the plants scattered throughout. It has a great vibe with lounge music playing in the background. Definitely a perfect spot for a date night.

The Food & Drinks:
• ​Smash Burger Salad: A huge portion, incredibly filling, and delicious.

• ​Luna Chicken: My boyfriend ordered this, and it was a hit. The chicken was cooked perfectly, the sauce was packed with flavor, and the asparagus was nice and tender.

• ​Wine Selection: They have a really nice variety available both by the glass and by the bottle.

The Service:
The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The only minor critique is that the water cups are a bit on the smaller side, and our server was a little too slammed to catch us for refills.

​That being said, the excellent food and gorgeous atmosphere easily make this a 5-star experience. We will absolutely be back!“
