You cannot have a conversation because the sound echos so loudly and when the staff moves tables around they drag it along the tile and all of the tables have to stop and wait till they are done to be able to speak again with your table.“

Most Tuesdays the Queen Mary has an event called Meet Me at the Mary. You must make reservations online. 4-8 pm. Gives you free access to the whole ship, parking is discounted to $10. (you must validate at the bar).

You cannot beat the atmosphere and view. 1930's decor. Live band with singer, playing big band music.

You can self-tour the ship before or after. (Engine room closes at 6pm).

They discontinued happy hour prices November 2025.

Food was great. We had a Flatbread (Queen Mary 3 Stacks, sorry we ate half in the picture) and Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Bistro Chips.

“It's not a bad place. It's a good stop for a cold beer. Especially for me because I am in a Handiman scooter when I am running out of power. They always let me charge up myt scooter while I have a beer. Otherwise I will not make it home. And some days it's not a laughing matter. It's that close of a call. The bartender seems nice. The bartenders are really nice, it’s a great crowd of people that u can feel at ease with and the drinks are delicious. I like the location because it’s by all business that close early so there’s plenty of parking at night. There’s a Mexican food taco stand on the corner if u get hungry. “Rare I give 5 stars in all sections but well deserved. Panama joes next door was over crowded so I tried this spot. It was a World Cup game. Service was kind all the way through and they followed up. The chefs really care about the food. Presentation and taste was on point. Had the salmon and a taco. “The atmosphere is popping here! Excellent DJ, very welcoming people, and good vibes. The only downside is that it is a very small place for the number of people that arrive; no dance floor, only one pool table, and hard to order a drink because of the very crowded bar. However, it is a very good spot for the Black community and for anyone, of course. Everyone was so happy to be here. This was my first time visiting, and I am confident I have found a new local to hang out at.“

“Wow! My bf and I checked out La Sala even though we weren’t staying at the Fairmont and were blown away by our breakfast. We split the Fairmont Breakfast and I’m not joking when we say it was one of the best prepared breakfasts we’ve had. The eggs and bacon were phenomenal but the potatoes? Literally some of the best breakfast potatoes I’ve ever had even though they don’t look that impressive. My bf was a chef for 20 years and he had major accolades for this kitchen. The coffee was delicious, too.

We strolled into the restaurant in very casual wear and were immediately welcomed by staff, but a shout-out to Eddie who made us feel like royalty with his service.

Truly a phenomenal experience and we intend to stay at the Fairmont next time I’m in town because of it.“
