“This place is down the street from my office and I always see it on the way to work in the mornings. They have a huge sign that says something along the lines of “best burgers in town,” and being a burger person, I accepted the challenge. They were not joking. The burger was not only huge, it was amazing! The burger was juicy and flavorful ?. My mouth is literally watering as I write this. The staff and owner were super friendly and accommodating as well. I’ll definitely be back, but as someone watching her waistline, I’m in trouble, because every bite is worth the extra work I’ll need to put in to keep it.?“
“I had good time Friday night with with family I kept a smile on my face all night and mingled with friendly people. I love being around an older crowd people enjoying their self that’s what it supposed to be about Black people coming together having fun without fighting all the time. Peace one love.“

“I went here to find a new place to drink near my new place. It's still a drive from me but, I'm happy to always visit new bars. This one serves beers, wines and trulys. It's cash only but they have an ATM. I took my brother there for helping me move big stuff. We also had my nephew along with us and he was okay to be there. They have a nice shuffleboard and plenty beers on tap. Most stuff is in the fridge and the bar girl was nice. Met some of the regulars so it's a good vibe.“
“I love a good cocktail and find it very difficult to find one in this town (that's reasonably priced). I never thought that I'd be rating Alex's Bar as one of the best places to get a cocktail in Long Beach! They really know what they're doing and go the extra mile. I don't go to a lot of live shows anymore, so I don't frequent the place as much as I'd like to. Kudos to Alex and his staff for doing it right and not charging an arm and a leg. A lot of LB bars could learn something from this place.“
“I go here every now and then to meet with co workers and I don't know the bartender's name but it was on 5/16. I left my wallet and I was able to retrieve it the following day with everything in tact. Not to mention drinks come by quick also :)“
“A very dark old school Dive Bar! Have moved away but miss the locals there ! I followed my little sister Lisa there many nights over 5 years ago! now she is gone to heaven and I wish I could go back to those times! Drinks are heavy pour and the service always good ! Cool people with a calm vibe“

Everyone, & I mean, everyone in the bar was jamming & dancing. The pool players were two stepping, the bartender was twerking it out, and the people at the bar were on their feet swaying to the beats.The man supplying the rhythms this night was DJ Believethat. He mixed in all the late night heaters & floor fillers. I definitely remember the bar crowd switching on to full dance party mode when DJ Believethat dropped "Candy Rain." DJ Believethat even left the decks to share in the fancy footwork.I got around to having a beer. I must admit it tasted like a beer. It was cold. I found the beer added to the overall levity of the evening. Others were throwing down shots now & then. Anyone who sets foot in the Crow's Nest on a Thursday will definitely get lifted, but hey that's levitation, Holmes.“
“This is the kind of bar that you can really settle into. It's the type of bar where you might see two grown men, deep into the night, crying at the end of the bar top as their friends point at them and shake their heads; NOT because what they are doing is wrong but because it's so very right, and they're strong enough to do it.It is a little too light inside, for my taste.“
