“There's definitely a reason this place keeps coming up everywhere as number ones bartenders are nice with a touch of sass like you'd like at a dive bar, but it's elevated. The prices are pretty pricey, but for the love ingredients and originality of the cocktails I guess it's alright, but I'm not staying for more than two lol. We ordered 4 cocktails and two mocktails and it was about $100 so time to go home lol. They have yummy little snacks and overall we were happy with this new Long Beach spot.“

“Keep coming back to this spot, for many reasons. The food, service, ambiance, location, novelty. I've been during the daytime for a latte in the sun, and I've been at night for an incredible dinner service. I would say I prefer the nighttime experience, just because the coffee is pretty over priced, and they haven't nailed the daytime-cafe-vibe yet. Needless to say, they have certainly nailed the nighttime vibe. Wonderful small plates, super yummy pizzas, creative and beautiful dishes. Recently, my group of four and I shared a pizza and a few small dishes as well as entrees. Out of all of the dishes, my Alaskan halibut was agreed upon as the best, which was surprising! The creamed leeks beneath the fish were unlike anything I've ever had. We also REALLY enjoyed the snap pea salad. Such unique flavor combinations! The burnt basque cheesecake and marscapone gelato were wonderful treats to end our meal. I will continue to come back!“

“I can't believe I haven't written a review here yet! (Thought I did!) Anyway, first came here last year for my sister's friend/band member's birthday party! (Jordan) And some of his art work was displayed for sale. It was pretty fun! The DJ booth looks cool! The giant screen allowed them to play their new music video for their band called Wamdingis! (Check them out!) That night was lit! Thank you to the bar tenders & chef! The fried cheese curds were unforgettable! Came back here another time with a girlfriend because she was sad about her guy. Anyway, we ordered the tater tots (yummy!) & some seltzer drinks. I sang a song for Karaoke night on Sunday. We also ordered the mushroom Swiss burger and added bacon! Omg! So glad we split it! That was too good! Then we bar hopped a little before going home. Tonight, I was supposed to help my sister's band with merch at the Santa Ana art walk but they finished before I got there so I turned around and went home and Lyfted here. Ordered the garlic lemon pepper wings & cheese curds! Mmmm! So good! Highly recommended! The kitchen is open until 1 or 2am! Woohoo! So this is def a 2-in-1 spot! Parking sucks on the streets so just Lyft here! Maybe I'll see you guys around!“

“This is my neighborhood bar. I could literally walk here. So I come quite often. Happy Hour is pretty good. Unfortunately, they don't have a kitchen onsite but you can bring your own food or order and have it delivered; which is pretty cool. They also have free pool tables and a juke box for your listening pleasure. My only gripe is there is one bar tender (shorter guy, with longer brown/black hair, and mustache) who has a bad attitude which can ruin your mood. Especially since he is providing a service and customer service is important. I usually don't stay long when he is working.“

The Wrigley Tavern Bar • $
Wrigley Village, 2054 Pacific Ave, Long Beach

“I've been here a bunch, just realized I've still never written them a review, so fixing that finally. They are definitely a "neighborhood bar" first, cocktail bar second - it's a great chill vibe, the sort of place that's never too busy (at least when I've been there) and where the music is never too loud to be able to talk. Their bartenders are all great, and they have quality spirits and reasonably priced drinks. And they do *have* a cocktail list - but compared to, for instance, Wicked Wolf nearby, for similar prices, cocktails that aren't quite as complex or as exciting, necessarily, but they have all been great cocktails. I also particularly like that they have, at least at the moment, Buffalo Trace on hand, so I can put that in any whiskey cocktail for about the same price. On their current menu, I particularly liked the "Cameoi" (bourbon, basil, lemon, blueberry, hibiscus cider) and the "Conquistador" (corn vodka, frangelico, romepope custard liqueur - as-is, it's basically a drinkable dessert, which is great if you're looking for dessert, but it's also an easy drink to swap different spirits in - I've also tried off-menu versions with mezcal and with Buffalo Trace that were also great.) I have only actually gotten food here once, and it was a couple years ago - their flatbread was nothing I'd go out of my way for specifically, but it's definitely also something I'd be happy to order if I were hungry and I was here. That said, the *real* draw that keeps getting me to stop in here, is the live jazz they have every Saturday at 8 PM. The jazz trio that plays here is fantastic, so whenever I'm out that direction on Saturday in the evening (most likely because something's going on at Wicked Wolf), I also try to arrange to pop in here during the live jazz. Cocktails go great with live jazz, and they're a super talented jazz trio. (But it wouldn't be such a draw if they didn't *also* make great cocktails.)“

“We were looking for a place for happy hour in the Long Beach/Seal Beach area. Malainey's seemed like a good choice. My first surprise is there was plenty of free and easy parking. I was expecting to have to pay for parking so that's a big plus. Mulainey's is in a marina area with other shops and restaurants. There's plenty of seating and we were even allowed to sit next to a window with a great view of the marina. The happy hour menu is pretty basic, but you can certainly find something to your liking as far as food goes. We had two tacos, $4 each. They were really good and they don't skimp on the meat or ingredients. We also had the tomato basil pizza. $12 It was a good size for sharing and it had an excellent garlic flavor. Wait, it gets better. When you check in on Yelp you get a coupon for free french fries, and they're good, too! The drink deals aren't great, though. They only have two beers on the HH menu, PBR and Coors Light. $5.75 for a pint. Well drinks are $7 on the hh menu. I ordered a Coke and it was $4.95. Kinda' pricey for a Coke, and no free refill. The service was so-so. It took a long time to get our drinks, but we didn't mind. The atmosphere was nice and it was a nice place to hang out for a chat. Also, they have plenty of screens to watch whatever sports events are going on at the moment. They have live music that starts at 7:00 PM. The band was excellent...so good I got up and danced! I'd go back for hh and some good live music for sure!“

“Upon my initial visit to this establishment, I was immediately captivated by the interior aesthetics. The decorations were truly impressive, and the cleanliness of the place was commendable. Moreover, I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional customer service provided by an employee named Raven. She made me feel incredibly welcome and was remarkably easy to converse with, as if we had known each other for years despite having just met that day. Since our interaction, I have been a consistent patron of this establishment. Even if I were not a local resident, I would willingly make the drive to this location in order to enjoy the company of others and, of course, to see Raven on the days she works. Now, let's discuss David, the manager. He, too, possesses remarkable customer service skills and always ensures that I feel welcome and attended to whenever he is present. I must also commend the owner, Mike, for the outstanding job he has done in creating this place. The entire process of its inception is truly commendable, as it has provided the community with a wonderful space to enjoy their meals and the company of their loved ones.I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone seeking a welcoming and comfortable environment. Personally, I often opt for their sausage and mushroom pizza, which never fails to satisfy. Although I have yet to try their burgers, they are next on my list. I did, however, sample their spicy wings, which unfortunately did not appeal to my taste. Nevertheless, the rest of the menu is consistently excellent. “We have been to Gaslamp about five times now to see our favorite Rage Against the Machine tribute band, Renegades of Rage. They never disappoint. This time there were two other tribute bands opening for them. Tribute band for Nirvana, Nirvanish was better than I remember from seeing them once before. The lead singer must have been a trance medium. Because all I seen and heard was Kurt Cobain. They also sang a Filter song, Hey Man, Nice Shot, that is in my favorites playlist. The owner of Gaslamp came out on stage to preform in a tribute band for Smashing Pumpkins called The Great Pumpkin! What an extremely pleasant surprise! We've watched them before and I don't remember being this impressed. We sounded so much like Billy Corrigan! Their drummer flew in from I'm not sure where but I'm sure glad that he did. Awesome drummer! Renegades! We love you guys! Johnny, Diego, Jeff and Mike...I'll never get tired of hearing you guys and watching your shows. The band made him feel special by giving a shout out for his bday! If you haven't seen Renegades before, I can't stress enough that you should find their next show and watch out for the mosh pit! We did not eat here, but Renegades lead singer Johnny did recommend them. Hubby wanted Tamales from Angie's in Norwalk instead. The drinks are comparably priced. Good wait staff. Bathrooms were clean and we'll stocked when we got there. The dance floor was not sticky, just a pet peeve for me.“

“Started coming here a while ago and it grew on me. Met the owner and he was nothing short of gracious. Humble guy that will sit with you. If you see him get him a red headed slut. Bartenders are cool. Tracey stands out though. Vulgar sometimes but always fun and treats you well. Met Mac and she is a bubble of fun. I'd recommend this place anytime.“

“I go here every now and then to meet with co workers and I don't know the bartender's name but it was on 5/16. I left my wallet and I was able to retrieve it the following day with everything in tact. Not to mention drinks come by quick also :)“

“Palapa Restaurant, is located at 2nd & PCH Center, on the second floor. Palapa is an extention of their sister restaurant Ola Mexican Kitchen.Palapa, has an island-themed Tiki bar it has a wrapped around bar with sitting ares. The outdoor dining has an amazing views of the Los Alamitos Marina, the boats and the ocean are just perfect. We came here to celebrate my birthday. They have complimentary tortillas chips. The tortilla chips are seasoned - springle with Tejin lemon flavored and salt. We selected dine at Palapa because of their outdoor dining because we brough our dog and we can only dine outside. The ambience is casual- contemporary with large beautiful outdoor lamps and an area with outdoor fire pit.We ordered the red beet & watermelon salad, fresh guacamole for the tortilla chips, 2 tacos. My daughter ordeted their chicken soup it comes with 2 rolled taquitos, hold down I had a strawberry -Jalapeno Margarita so refreshing so delicious and (Expensive)Keep in mind when ordering any meals it all coming from Ola Restaurant because Jalapa does not have their own kitchen. It may take longer to get the order Ps please don't blame the server. Service was on point he was attentive and friendly. He offered to-go boxes because honesty our eyes were bigger than our appetite.Parking2nd & PCH has a parking structure the first 90 minutes are free. Pay for parking with credit cards at the pay stations or exit gates. No Cash or Apple pay.If you are in the area and like an awesome marina vies, an awesome Margarita and of course awesome food. Stand by say hello!“

Fabulous West Cocktail Bar • $
1616 W Pacific Coast Hwy, Long Beach

“The ambiance here is exactly what a working class guy wants in a bar: good people, chill music, and amazing service. They have the usual variety of drinks, and they shine with their bartenders. Jennifer is by far the most amazing at making you feel welcome, being attentive and giving the place an surreal flavor like something out of a colorful movie. The pool tables are fun, as is the music jukebox (not old fashioned records, but it's still a jukebox).Anyways, I highly recommend!“
