“Bartenders are always great. Seen plenty of bands play here, the back room for that is perfect for the sounds to bounce all over without any 'bar noise' nuisance you'd get at a local bar show. There's a big back patio area and at one point in some summertime ago, they served food out there. Front bar section has a Photo Booth, a small section of records to shop and foosball to play, and several booths to sit at, perfect to wait out a band you are waiting to finish before the next band plays. It's not a bad venue to play at, low key vibe and supportive for touring bands. Sound person always seems to be adaptable and you can ask bartender for ear plugs too“

Harborview Lounge & Cafe Bar • $
111 W 29th St Bldg. 403, San Pedro

“Great place to have gotten married, it feels like yesterday and yet it was over 3 years ago now.... It was quiet, secluded, with just the two of us our son, and the officiant. The officiant brought everything to the house for us to sign and submitted everything to the courthouse for us. Private marriage license, the certificate all of it... never had to leave the base.“

Alhambra Cocktail Lounge-Oldest Historical Bar in San Pedro Cocktail Bar • $
216 W 11th St, San Pedro

“This is one of oldest bars in the South Bay and it is a true dive, with lots of character. The walls are covered in old photos and memorabilia, and the vibe is fantastic. Our bartender had heavy pourer, so you're sure to get your money's worth. She recommended some nice drinks and shots. If you're looking for a laid-back place to have a drink and relax, this is a place to check out.“

“Great music, Wednesday night jazz was awesome last night and pool games are fun. Staff are friendly and down to earth. Every once in a while there's a tasty snack from the back. Charles Bukowski would drink here and many bands have come through over the years. A classic spot for fun hangs and music.“

“This place is amazing! My family and friends came in two weeks ago for an after party hang after my wedding! Fantastic customer service by Shaun, Rick & Danny! Those 3 guys were on top of everything and made my party feel right at home. Vibe is really cool and the place is spacious. I'm not familiar with the neighborhood, I consider it the country really, but this place really stood out as a great neighborhood bar. I highly recommend this place for anyone near by looking for good hangout spot. I know if I'm ever back in the country I'll definitely stop on in.“

Godmother's Bar • $
302 W 7th St, San Pedro

“Me and some friends originally stumbled across this gem back in 2017 while we were in town to attend a football game. This place is the true definition of "dive" bar. Since that wonderful night in 2017 , we talked about going back. Fast forward to March 2024, and with a few of our group relocating to other parts of the country, we knew we had to make the trip happen. So we took the drive north to San Pedro for no other reason than to spend the night so we could have the Godmother's experience one more time. Although it had changed a little (classed things up a bit if you will), the overall vibe was just that of which we remembered from 2017!! Whenever I hear anyone mention San Pedro, I will automatically think Godmother's!! Thank you Godmother's for two nights that we may not completely remember but will never forget!“

The Spot Bar • $
2139 S Pacific Ave, San Pedro

“Perfectly divey, so set your expectations accordingly. My running group stopped in here to "rehydrate" on a warm winter afternoon. The television had sportsball on, and the bartender was friendly. There is a smoking patio if that's your thing. The bathrooms were being worked on, so I i can't comment on them.“

“Michelle was great. Guided us through the menu, gave recommendations and we took her at her word. The Cali-bowl with salmon, clam chowder, and fish tacos were outstanding. All tasted fresh and hot. The martini’s completed the meal. Our cruise eve could not have been better!“
