“Great spot in Lawndale/Torrance area. Awesome for catching Dodger games. They have plenty of amazing beer on draft. They also offer wine and other hard liquor here. I like the decor they have set up here. Parking can be a pain since its right on Prairie but if you drive into the neighborhood you usually can find a spot. If you like brooklyn bar down hawthorne you'd like this place. Similar vibe.“

“Brought some friends there to watch playoff football and a ufc fight. Ended up having the best filet mignon of my life. So tender you could slice through it with the side of your fork. Had fresh oysters from Virginia, which I was told are only $2 on Tuesday or Wednesday (have to fact check here). And probably the best thing on the menu is the bacon wrapped plantains, not a lot of food, but every bite is heaven. Wife loved her fancy drinks, but I prefer scotch.“

“If you want to experience a place where the locals actually spend their time, this is it. We were pointed here by someone from the area who told us to skip the crowded tourist spots and check out this neighborhood favorite instead. It ended up being one of the most enjoyable stops of our trip.

“Our church, Triedstone MBC, just hosted a luncheon for our leadership team. It was catered by Darrow’s New Orleans Grill. We were very pleased with our experience. The food was delicious. And the service was great! They arrived early. And the food was hot. The owner, Norwood, presented the food with a very appetizing description of each entree. Everyone loved it! Additionally, the portions were very generous. And everyone went back for seconds. At Triedstone, we do everything with excellence. And Darrow’s definitely met the challenge. “Went here for Easter brunch and was surprised I hadn’t heard of this place before. The food was great! I ordered the steak and eggs and while my steak wasn’t a perfect medium rare, the flavor and portion size made up for that immensely. The cocktails were delightful as well! Pricing was as expected for the area and quality. We were seated outside in a makeshift patio in the parking lot, but it was well done and the service was quick and attentive. Next time I would probably try to eat inside or in the smaller patio by the entrance, where the vibes and decor are beautifully done. There is ample free parking in the back as well. We were a group of about 40 and from the very beginning, Liz made the entire process so easy and stress free. She was always available with quick replies to questions, flexible with any requests we had made, and genuinely excited to have us and was just wonderful. I got to meet Zach the night of the event and he was exactly the same way. They both understand hospitality and made us feel so welcome and taken care of. The staff that night made amazing drinks and the food was delicious. On top of that, the room itself is already a beautiful space, but when we walked in and saw it decked out in the holiday lights, we knew right away we made the perfect choice in Corner Door. “From 9-11:30 most Monday nights, come to this small bar to see the miracle of the Hot Club of Los Angeles, an amazing 5 piece embodiment of Django Reinhart's 1930s jazz spirit. Their second set may start around 10:45 if you'd like a bit more room. No snacks, no food, no nonsense...just as good a band as you'll ever see in a space this small. “I stopped by this restaurant with my family, and we had a great experience overall. We had a reservation and were seated right away. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and took our order promptly. As the restaurant became busier, we understandably did not see her as often. I do wish our drinks had been refilled more frequently, especially since I do not drink alcohol and relied more on my regular beverage. The prices were reasonable for the amount of food served, and the portions were generous. There was also plenty of parking, which made the visit easy and convenient. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and had a pleasant experience.“

“Force of Nature is one of the cutest little places I’ve ever stopped for a drink. From the moment we walked in, it felt warm, inviting, and effortlessly charming.

The rooftop terrace is the perfect mix of laid-back and cozy, making it an ideal spot to unwind after a long, hot day. I especially loved the community table—it added so much character and made the space feel welcoming and connected.

The drinks were fantastic: strong enough to know they were crafted well, but perfectly balanced and incredibly delicious. The wines leaned on the fruitier side, which made them easy to enjoy without being overly sweet.

What really made the experience stand out, though, was the bartender, who also seemed to be the hostess and waitress. She was genuinely kind, welcoming, and made everyone feel at home. She had the kind of personality that makes you wish she’d sit down and have a drink with you.

The entire vibe of Force of Nature is relaxed, friendly, and unpretentious. It’s the kind of place where you intend to stop for one drink and end up staying for hours because you simply don’t want to leave. I can’t wait to come back.“
