Crispy on the outer surface and tender and juicy in the center. The staff know the wine list to help advise a good selection to you liking. For dessert ordered an old fashion which was prepared with the right amount of bitters and sweetness that they smoke infused to finish a perfect dinner. Not many places do that anymore. “If you want to experience a place where the locals actually spend their time, this is it. We were pointed here by someone from the area who told us to skip the crowded tourist spots and check out this neighborhood favorite instead. It ended up being one of the most enjoyable stops of our trip.

The atmosphere is casual, relaxed, and full of character. It has that classic dive bar feel where people come to unwind, catch up with friends, watch a game, or shoot a few rounds of pool. Nothing feels forced or trendy, which is exactly what makes it so appealing.

We kept things simple with a burger, some snacks, and a few drinks. The food was better than expected, and there was a solid selection of beers both on tap and in bottles. Prices were reasonable, portions were satisfying, and service was friendly throughout our visit.

What really stood out was the sense of community. Everyone seemed to know each other, and even as visitors we felt welcomed. By the end of the evening, several regulars were chatting with us and wishing us a good night. It's the kind of authentic local spot that's becoming harder to find and absolutely worth checking out.“

However, Camille suggested a couple of dishes for us and they did not disappoint and in fact I would’ve licked the plates if it was publicly appropriate. “I stopped by this restaurant with my family, and we had a great experience overall. We had a reservation and were seated right away. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and took our order promptly. As the restaurant became busier, we understandably did not see her as often. I do wish our drinks had been refilled more frequently, especially since I do not drink alcohol and relied more on my regular beverage. The prices were reasonable for the amount of food served, and the portions were generous. There was also plenty of parking, which made the visit easy and convenient. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and had a pleasant experience.“

Literally everything you could want or think of is here -- there's even board/card games. Events are hosted! Wish it was closer to me because we would come every weekend! 10/10 RECOMMEND!“

“We stopped in for a cocktail, and Gina, the hostess, kindly found us seats at the bar. We had a wonderful time meeting Terry, the owner, Miguel, the bartender, and Jessica. The entire longtime staff was warm and welcoming.

We ended up staying for dinner and enjoyed the filet mignon and lobster, two of their soups, along with a nice glass of wine and a refreshing spritzer. Great food, terrific service, and a thoroughly enjoyable evening!

“This place is really growing. I went to their opening and since then started going to the weekly trivia events. It’s a really fun brewery atmosphere, lowkey local and good beer on tap. On the Tuesday trivia nights they have a food truck come. Definitely a great addition to the downtown San Pedro area.“

The only downside is that it is a very small place for the number of people that arrive; no dance floor, only one pool table, and hard to order a drink because of the very crowded bar. However, it is a very good spot for the Black community and for anyone, of course. Everyone was so happy to be here. This was my first time visiting, and I am confident I have found a new local to hang out at.“

The waiting time after you order food can take over 30 to 40mins., so be ready to wait. However, once you start eating you’ll automatically forget everything else. Alcoholic Drinks - Micheladas are unbelievably good! If you like tangy & citrusy beer then this may be your new favorite drink. Piña Coladas are addicting! I think they use Belizean coconut rum on this drink which brings the flavor to a different level of sweetness, but enough not to be overpowering. Prices - affordable Duration: (11am - 4pm) We stayed for 5 hours indulging in their delicious food dishes, drinking & lounging in this gorgeous place. Also took some cool pics with the gorgeous beach views. Entertainment- DJ plays Afro beats, Reggae, Spanish music and hip pop or whatever you request. Hahaha Perfect spot to take your vacation pics or influencer’s (IG & Tik Tok) shots! You’ll see the giant swing set and slide on the water. This restaurant is located 45mins away from downtown and by the time we decided to head back to our hotel it was almost 4:30pm and it began to rain a bit. Once we got to the hotel my husband realized his wallet was missing. By the time we tried calling Blue Bayou it was already closed for the night. We had to wait till the next day and hope they had found it. What was inside the wallet? DL, 2 credit cards, 1 debit card and some cash. My poor husband barely slept that night stressing over the missing wallet. Next morning at 8:30am we headed back to the restaurant hoping the wallet would be there. Although the possibility of anything falling or dropping off from the golf cart was very likely since it has no doors or storage compartment. Finally, arrived 45 mins later at Blue Bayou and thank God the same waiter who served us the day before was there who recognized us. He smiled and said, “John Doe! You lost something here right?”, then he reached to the drawer where he pulled out the wallet!!! What a relief! NOT A SINGLE THING WAS MISSING! Everything was there! Wow!!! By far this place is not just a great restaurant with excellent service, but they’re TRUSTWORTHY PEOPLE!! So happy to have come here and can’t wait to come back again! Thank you Blue Bayou!“

“Cherrystones catered my brother's celebration of life memorial last Sunday at the Toyota Meeting Hall in Torrance. We were about 120 people. The food and presentation was excellent. We opted for the Kalua Pork and the Teriyaki chicken, both delicious. Loved the broccoli salad and Mac salad. Our guests raved about the food. Cherrystones catered my dad's memorial in 2016 and the food was excellent then. I would not hesitate to use them again if I needed a catering service. Thank you Cherrystones for doing my brother proud.“
