I've worked next to the chowder Barge and I finally decided to give it a try. I was sceptical at first because of the appearance and location. I was amazed how good the food is. I had the double chowder burger which looked nasty but was delicious.
Really cool hole in the wall with a "locals only" feel. The chowder was excellent. Place gets crowded even though it's out of the way.Bring cat food if you want to feed the cats at the marina.

The waitresses were super nice and friendly. There was a little bit of a wait, but it wasn’t very long. I am a pescatarian and I did not realize the clam chowder has bacon in it. So watch out pescatarians. The shrimp and cocktail sauce is amazing though.
