Nice place to enjoy with friends & family . Too bad it closed down in LB
The best place ever. Super good food and excellent service
We love going to La Palapa. It's like being in a sunny-California postcard. The food and drinks are excellent, as is the entertainment. I see a few negative reviews, but we have never, ever had difficulty with the service or server's/management's attitude toward customers. Quite the contrary...we have been impressed. I highly recommend La Palapa. Thanks, Bear.

Palapa | Ola Mexican Restaurant offers a unique dining experience with an island-themed Tiki bar and outdoor seating that provides stunning views of the Los Alamitos Marina. The casual-contemporary ambiance features large outdoor lamps and an area with a fire pit, creating a relaxed vibe. The menu includes dishes like the red beet & watermelon salad, fresh guacamole, and tacos, all prepared in the kitchen of its sister restaurant, Ola Mexican Kitchen. Customers have enjoyed the ceviche and house salad, while some find the lobster and shrimp enchiladas to be just okay for the price. The service is attentive and friendly, with servers happy to assist with to-go boxes and other needs. The outdoor seating area offers incredible views, especially for those who appreciate a good ambiance. Be sure to arrive early to take advantage of free parking nearby. Overall, Palapa is a good spot for a fun lunch or dinner with friends or family, with drinks like strawberry-Jalapeno Margaritas adding to the experience.
