“Definitely give this place a try! Friendly staff and delicious burritos - get em wet. The meat is very tender, the salsas and sauces have big time flavor and kick when you want it. Lots of tvs on the patio if you like that, but also open air if you don't.
Margs are wine-based, not full on tequila (But I don't think you'll notice.)“

“This place is SO good! I got the breakfast burrito and added cheese and avocado. Omg it was so big I had it for two meals. It was just as amazing for the second meal. Everyone that worked there was so nice, it had such a great family feel. A few customers came in while I was eating outside, and it was clear they were regulars - as i would be if I lived closer! Also, I dont eat meat and there were plenty of options!

There aren't any tables inside but there are a few outside with umbrellas if needed.“

“Had a really good time with my friend group. The food was really good. I would get the enchiladas again 100%!! The asada tacos are okay. Regular asada tacos. We also got the watermelon hibiscus pitcher to share, but its honestly not strong. Very watered down. The Margarita on the other hand, very strong. I would get that instead. Guac was also very good. Overall I would definitely come back and eat here. The vibe is good, the food is good, the service needed a little help though. There was several times our table needed something and there was no server to be found. Other than that, great spot. I’ll be coming back again when I’m in town.“

“This is an excellent restaurant in an attractive space with attentive service. For the quality, the price is more than fair.

The traditional ceviche with fish was fresh, complex, and came with multiple sauces. The empanadas were perfectly done, with the fish ones being a bit strong for our taste and the shrimp ones being really outstanding. We also had very rich, very filling Tacos Perrones whose fish was perfectly done. They serve fried tortillas instead of corn chips, which is both attractive and delicious. My only complaint would be that my margarita was kind of light on the alcohol.

Long Beach is lucky to have this place.“

“Fantastic hidden gem! Located in north long beach, this authentic Mexican restaurant is absolutely delicious. They have plenty of nostalgic dishes that you may remember a loved cooking for you. They have soups, tacos, and special dishes such as costillitas con nopales. I was left very much happily satisfied. Parking is a nightmare, they have a small lot. It is a mom and pop shop, so please keep that in mind when you arrive. Seating is extremely limited, but they have a couple chairs out front to ensure you're taken care of. Please tip if you can as I'm positive a place like this is not common anymore these days. The ladies who serve and take orders have the most cute uniforms and friendliest of service. Anything upon request!!! Please ask before you do. They have a specific seating order and will be happy to accommodate when you ask! Oh they do serve alcohol, beers and margaritas 😬“

“Very simple little place. I ordered a classic large bean and cheese burrito. My sibling ordered the carne asada burrito con todo. My burrito was perfect the beans very flavorful and plenty of cheese. My brother said his was perfect as well. The guy who made them had a large personality super friendly and hospitable. “Came here to watch FIFA USA game, the food was so good ! But the service was so amazing!!!! Staff kept checking in on us make sure we had everything we needed. You can tell they put a lot of time and effort into their food. I recommend the enchiladas de mole and the margarita flight (passion fruit was my favorite flavor)! “I've patronized this business on many occasions. My experiences have been mostly positive. The food is good, however I do have high standards when comes to the food that I choose to consume. That's why prepare my own meals way more than I eat out. Anyway, I recently had lunch there on 5/31/26 and I had a minor incident with my cocktail. I found a piece of plastic in it which was believed to come from one of the garnish skewers that they used to decorate the cocktails. It was unfortunate because I was enjoying my meal and cocktail. My server Cynthia was great, her service was more than adequate. When I bought it to her attention she immediately called the manager over. The manager Bryce was very apologetic and professional. As far as I'm concerned, he couldn't have handled the situation any better. Although I didn't request or demand that my cocktail be comped, he immediately went to the bar himself and returned with a fresh cocktail for and offered to remove from my bill. I gratefully accepted his offer and finished enjoying my meal. Everyone makes mistakes, however how you make it right is what's important. Tequila Jacks was represented well by Bryce and Cynthia in that situation. They are to be commended. Thank you both.

The GM, Ashley was extremely friendly and made suggestions for both food and drink.

“Went here after a horrible experience down the street at another restaurant.I walked in a grumpy jerk, and they were still so nice. They turned my day around. The food is made with care and is generously portioned. One look at their chip basket (freshly fried from hand made tortillas) proves they do not cut corners here! They are also polite, friendly, and professional, which is something you can no longer say about other restaurants in the area. It's clear from the patrons in the dining room that this is a well loved neighborhood hangout. Was told about this place by work friends, and have already told others about it. A real hidden gem!“

Greasy delicious juicy meat that packs so much taste, and the chiles, chorizo, and spicy spread sauce in the burger genuinely do make a difference that make it stand out from other burgers. The tacos are a bit overpriced at 4 bucks, yet delicious, taste just like a fried burger and dipping in the spread transports to heaven. The service is so nice and make sure you go above and beyond. So much discounts and promotions here especially for students so this is a place to keep updated on.“
