“My meals were delicious. They make some of the best Carnitas I've ever had. I decided to try out their Sopes today with carne asada which was great! Very generous portions for their prices. The staff was very welcoming and worked with a sense of urgency. I would highly recommend for anyone that wants great food and service!“

“This is a small place, but it’s very clean and well-kept. Even the restroom was spotless, which I really appreciated. The staff—especially the friendly young lady—were very welcoming and kind.

“I love it here and I have never had an issue until today, but that has nothing to do with the staff or the business. This individual pokes me in my arm to get my attention, and I told him that my ears work just fine and if he would like to gain it to speak. Clearly since I was watching something on my phone that it would be understood that my ears were just fine. I didn’t even have headphones in. I called the sheriffs department and they had a firm talk with this individual. This individual was talking all this church and God stuff with people, and when I told him to keep his hands off of me, his true character emerged.“

“I finally have a local, good, and cost effective place near my house. So far I’ve had their cheese burger and fish ceviche. The burger was big and juicy. The fries were great. The fish ceviche was spiced so if you don’t like spice like me, ask them to put the vinaigrette on the side and add to your liking. But a good overall place that I recommend. They also do take out and call in for pick up. They do Door Dash and Grub hub too.“

“Southern California has a LOT of great Mexican food but this place was next level. The carnitas burrito was had carnitas that was perfectly crispy and the flavor was great. The Birria del Rey plate was flavorful. The service was quick and friendly. The place had a great family vibe. Definitely going to make this a regular stop.“

It came with rice, beans and consume. So delicious I order another to go. lol (Don’t judge me #foodlover). The restaurant is clean but was a bit warm. Had an AC on but in this heat, it was still a bit warm. Gave atmosphere 4 stars for that reason. Otherwise, very nice and chill spot. Samantha was great and very tentative.“

“Definitely a fist class experience. My family and I are vacationing at Disney/California adv. from Utah. We wanted Mexican food and came across Sabor Chilango online. Saw the Guacamole appetizer and were sold! Well, the experience there is even better than the photo. Would give more stars if I could. Miguel Angel was top notch with his service. The food was unmatched. Will definitely eat there again!“

“I was introduced to this place by a friend of mine who originally comes from Missouri. I would have never stopped here otherwise. It’s almost hidden and easy to pass right by. DELICIOUS tacos in a perfect little beach-friendly, local surfer type spot. Tables are literally next to the parking spots, just plopped in the lot. Come here for sunshine, great tacos and a reminder that life it full of greatness when you ditch the fluff. Great staff too! Cash only, fyi“

“Definitely give this place a try! Friendly staff and delicious burritos - get em wet. The meat is very tender, the salsas and sauces have big time flavor and kick when you want it. Lots of tvs on the patio if you like that, but also open air if you don't.
Margs are wine-based, not full on tequila (But I don't think you'll notice.)“

The food is good the customer service is good I have no complaints I'm giving it a five-star review prices are excellent you can ask for more there's nothing fishy about it you need to get out and try something and if a place is good of course they're going to have all good reviews I feel sorry for you never seen a good place or tasted good Mexican food and I'm 100% Mexican so get out some try something new unless you're from another nearby restaurant trying to put a negative spin on something but don't revenge is excellent five stars for sure!“

“This place is SO good! I got the breakfast burrito and added cheese and avocado. Omg it was so big I had it for two meals. It was just as amazing for the second meal. Everyone that worked there was so nice, it had such a great family feel. A few customers came in while I was eating outside, and it was clear they were regulars - as i would be if I lived closer! Also, I dont eat meat and there were plenty of options!

There aren't any tables inside but there are a few outside with umbrellas if needed.“

“What a pleasant surprise! We stumbled across this place and decided to give it a shot for breakfast this morning... it instantly became our new favorite breakfast spot in OC. It was THAT good. Like, we're already planning to come try lunch here in a few days. The prices were very fair for the portion sizes (the breakfast burrito was huge!). Of course we had to try a couple of street tacos because my husband and I are kind of on a street taco kick right now, and omg. When I say their carne asada is the BEST we've tried so far - and we've tried LOTS - I am 100% serious, it is so freaking delicious! The al pastor too, soooo good. We can't wait to come back and try more! Also wanted to mention the gentleman at the counter who served us, I didn't catch his name, but he was so welcoming and kind. He might have been the owner, not sure. You HAVE to try Roman's if you're in the area... and even if you're not, it's worth going out of the way for. Amazing experience!“

“Second time eating here and last time was a few months after they first opened. Tacos are still really good just a little overpriced for the size. Favorite one is la Paz fish taco on a purple tortilla. I like the 2 new added tacos which are the gobernador and the birria cheese. Michelada was ok.
The coffee stand is unique and I like their selections. Staff were all great.
Will try their menudo next time.“

“This is an excellent restaurant in an attractive space with attentive service. For the quality, the price is more than fair.

The traditional ceviche with fish was fresh, complex, and came with multiple sauces. The empanadas were perfectly done, with the fish ones being a bit strong for our taste and the shrimp ones being really outstanding. We also had very rich, very filling Tacos Perrones whose fish was perfectly done. They serve fried tortillas instead of corn chips, which is both attractive and delicious. My only complaint would be that my margarita was kind of light on the alcohol.

Long Beach is lucky to have this place.“

“We spent about $100 for 3 people on the food we ordered & we couldn’t be more pleased with the food and service! Workers were so kind and we were so excited to try the food we forgot to take a picture of everything! 10/10 love this place!“

“Fantastic hidden gem! Located in north long beach, this authentic Mexican restaurant is absolutely delicious. They have plenty of nostalgic dishes that you may remember a loved cooking for you. They have soups, tacos, and special dishes such as costillitas con nopales. I was left very much happily satisfied. Parking is a nightmare, they have a small lot. It is a mom and pop shop, so please keep that in mind when you arrive. Seating is extremely limited, but they have a couple chairs out front to ensure you're taken care of. Please tip if you can as I'm positive a place like this is not common anymore these days. The ladies who serve and take orders have the most cute uniforms and friendliest of service. Anything upon request!!! Please ask before you do. They have a specific seating order and will be happy to accommodate when you ask! Oh they do serve alcohol, beers and margaritas 😬“
