When I first walked in, I honestly thought, “Hmm… I don’t know if this is going to be authentic Mexican food.”

BUT… I was completely wrong. 🙈

Once we were seated and started talking with our waitress, she made sure we were very well taken care of. She brought us samples of the carnitas and even let us try the horchata before we ordered. She was attentive, friendly, and genuinely made us feel welcomed. The customer service was exceptional. ❤

And let me tell you about that wet burrito! 🌯🔥 It was DELICIOUS! Everything came together so well, and we really enjoyed our entire experience.

So, lesson learned: don’t judge a restaurant by your first impression! 😂 I walked in thinking one thing and walked out completely impressed.

“This Chipotle location is hands down one of the best I’ve been to. The store is always incredibly clean, well-organized, and has a really welcoming atmosphere. You can tell the staff takes pride in keeping everything spotless and running smoothly.

What really stood out to me was the customer service. Sarah and Brian were both extremely helpful, friendly, and attentive. They made sure my order was exactly right and went above and beyond to create a great experience. It’s not often you come across service like that anymore.

Overall, this place sets the standard for what a Chipotle should be. Great food, clean environment, and amazing staff. I’ll definitely be coming back!“

“We had the best experience at Bubu’s restaurant. My husband tried the albondigas (meatballs) in a chipotle sauce. They were delicious and the tasted just like those my Mexican grandma used to cook. Not too spicy, not too watery. Everything else was equally authentic and delicious. The handmade tortillas make the experience unique.
The service was wonderful and we met Jesus, the chef, who takes great pride in his cooking. Worth visiting! Even if the location and humble look of the place are deceiving, it’s worth visiting!“

“Big fish tacos with cabbage, tomatoes and white sauce! Ceviche had fish, crab, little bit of octopus and large shrimps although a bit pricey. It’s still good on a summer’s day. The fried round tortillas were a bit oily as it soaked all through the paper bag. Combo had rice and beans as well. Parking can take a wait but it’s well organized with a staff person directing the cars. You can wait at the take out shack as an alternative to eating inside the restaurant. There’s already a line at 5 on a weekend afternoon so go early!“

“I finally have a local, good, and cost effective place near my house. So far I’ve had their cheese burger and fish ceviche. The burger was big and juicy. The fries were great. The fish ceviche was spiced so if you don’t like spice like me, ask them to put the vinaigrette on the side and add to your liking. But a good overall place that I recommend. They also do take out and call in for pick up. They do Door Dash and Grub hub too.“

“This place used to close super early despite its hours and even calling to see if it would be open but that hasn't happened in a long time... The food here is handmade and feels like it's a lot cleaner and higher quality than your typical taco stand style place. “I was told about this place from an out of town coworker that has relatives near by. The owner/cook was very hospitable and everything was surprisingly low priced. Tacos were very tasty and well balanced. I would go back definitely. The only thing I didn’t really like was the parking lot cause its entrance is very close to a busy blvd with fast traffic. You have to exit very carefully. I recommend either parking in the back, side street or back in.“

“We hosted my cousin’s birthday here with a HUGE group we basically took over the restaurant and the team handled it effortlessly!
The food was REALLY good. I had the Molcajete, and my kids loved the garlic shrimp and rice. Big thanks to Pablo in the kitchen for making everything so delicious.
The drinks were superb as well, courtesy of Lydia behind the bar. A huge shout-out to Marylou and Hector for so gracefully taking all of our orders, managing every single extra instruction, and keeping everything running smoothly for such a large party.

“Fantastic hidden gem! Located in north long beach, this authentic Mexican restaurant is absolutely delicious. They have plenty of nostalgic dishes that you may remember a loved cooking for you. They have soups, tacos, and special dishes such as costillitas con nopales. I was left very much happily satisfied. Parking is a nightmare, they have a small lot. It is a mom and pop shop, so please keep that in mind when you arrive. Seating is extremely limited, but they have a couple chairs out front to ensure you're taken care of. Please tip if you can as I'm positive a place like this is not common anymore these days. The ladies who serve and take orders have the most cute uniforms and friendliest of service. Anything upon request!!! Please ask before you do. They have a specific seating order and will be happy to accommodate when you ask! Oh they do serve alcohol, beers and margaritas 😬“
