And the service was great! They arrived early. And the food was hot. The owner, Norwood, presented the food with a very appetizing description of each entree. Everyone loved it! Additionally, the portions were very generous. And everyone went back for seconds. At Triedstone, we do everything with excellence. And Darrow’s definitely met the challenge. However, Camille suggested a couple of dishes for us and they did not disappoint and in fact I would’ve licked the plates if it was publicly appropriate. Starting with the welcoming staff at the entrance. John, your hospitality is the beginning of the joyful experience. The restaurant is so elegant. We enjoyed the vaulted ceilings with wood beams. We enjoyed the large window at the kitchen area so you can see the Chefs at work. We got to sit next to the impressive wine rack display. The restaurant’s ambiance wouldn’t be complete without the soft background music. Our waiter, Issac, was a delight. There is outside seating but it was taken up when we arrived there and it didn't seem to free up by the time we left.Age range is millennials, maybe some college students.Music is a bit loud if you are trying to have a conversation, but overall its fun! They got games playing and I think you can have lil birthday gatherings there? There was a small birthday hang out when we were there which was really cute.Overall, good bar, would come back.“

“Wow! What a fantastic experience. First, I need to touch upon the fact that Rosa was absolutely incredible. I was the only one in the lounge on a Monday evening, and she took the best care of me. She explained everything about Kava and answered all my questions, she is clearly very educated on the root. She was such a doll. And then Josh came in for his shift and again, couldn't be more impressed! An intelligent, kind man whom I had great conversation.

The Kava itself was of the purest form and delicious. My favorite combo is the coconut cream and chai. I felt great drinking it.

The vibes were immaculate. So relaxing, great music. Comfortable seating. Can't wait to return.“

Chef Walter has created a robust, impressive Italian menu, and Scott, the sommelier, was fantastic. His knowledge of wine really stood out to me, and his recommendations made the dining experience that much better. He picked the perfect bottle for our specific food and occasion. He clearly knows his wine and brings a level of expertise and enthusiasm that makes you appreciate the entire dining experience even more.

The only downside is that it is a very small place for the number of people that arrive; no dance floor, only one pool table, and hard to order a drink because of the very crowded bar. However, it is a very good spot for the Black community and for anyone, of course. Everyone was so happy to be here. This was my first time visiting, and I am confident I have found a new local to hang out at.“
