“There's definitely a reason this place keeps coming up everywhere as number ones bartenders are nice with a touch of sass like you'd like at a dive bar, but it's elevated. The prices are pretty pricey, but for the love ingredients and originality of the cocktails I guess it's alright, but I'm not staying for more than two lol. We ordered 4 cocktails and two mocktails and it was about $100 so time to go home lol. They have yummy little snacks and overall we were happy with this new Long Beach spot.“

“To John Hansen, My wife and I would like to thank you for such a lovely evening. Chez Bacchus represents the “True Expression of a Dining Experience”. Starting with the welcoming staff at the entrance. John, your hospitality is the beginning of the joyful experience. The restaurant is so elegant. We enjoyed the vaulted ceilings with wood beams. We enjoyed the large window at the kitchen area so you can see the Chefs at work. We got to sit next to the impressive wine rack display. The restaurant’s ambiance wouldn’t be complete without the soft background music. Our waiter, Issac, was a delight. He provided us with his expertise in choosing our wines, appetizers, entrees, and desserts. It was a pleasure to meet to give special thanks to the Chef, Danny Le and Su Chef, Donald. Their expertise is why we had an amazing and delicious dinner.“

I liked that there was breakfast and pastries along with lunch items. We got two bloody Mary's, a cold brew, salad, soup, burger and sandwich. Which came out to about $80ish before tips. Taste wine-beer-kitchen American • $$

“They now do a themed five course dinner once a month. Option to have a wine pairing with each course. One seating per night for 2-3 nights. Must reserve in advance, sells out. We went to the “tomato” dinner. High quality, imaginative dishes with good wine pairings. The chef came out and discussed all five courses in detail and a “wine guy” did the same for each wine pairing, which enhanced the experience. Option to buy bottles of the reasonably priced wines ($20-30 per bottle) after. Lasted about 2.5 hours. Indoor and outdoor seating available.“

Meatballs were so yummy, well seasoned, pretty big, loved the artichoke dip, so frikken good. The portion sizes are decent.Wine selection is huge, plenty of great choices. Staff attentive, friendly, and competent, they know their wines, and thoroughly explain the wines you order. And yes,you can buy bottles of wine to go.If you have gluten intolerance/ allergies, their pizzas are made with cauliflower crust, this place is for you.I tried the bacon ,wrapped dates, initially I thought sounds weird/ questionable, omg! The best appetizer ever,a must try. There are 2 decent sized, clean, bathrooms. They have live music on Sundays.Only downside ,parking is terrible in this general area. It's just crowded on the streets, and there are other shops, great places to eat nearby.“

“I've been reading a lot lately about finding a "third place". A place outside of work and home where you can relax, socialize, build your community. Wine on 2nd fits the bill. The owners and the staff are so welcoming, as are the other guests. The vibe is perfect. Chill, calm. I got the baked brie and it was absolutely delicious! Is one of my favorite dishes anyway and when it's done right, chef's kiss. I paired it with a sparkling wine and it was exactly what I needed.I'm already in love with this place, parking is easy, the location is great. Come and go grab a glass of wine and then go enjoy the Christmas lights or come here after. It's easy to get to, incredible ambiance. I can see why it won best wine bar last year. I expect it will do it again this year.Vegetarian options: I'm a vegetarian and a lot of the dishes are vegetarian. As in made to have a full set of flavors, not just a garden salad.“

But would’ve skipped this one and just gotten the second pizza)Nutella dessert (also also very delicious. However, the donuts were a little bit harder, I would’ve liked it to have been a little softer. The hazelnut gelato was exquisite.)All in all excellent food, and the pizza was very Italian! “Rosemallows is definitely a vibe and I'm so happy I came across it!While hubby and I were wrapping up an event, we wanted to grab a drink. We came across Rosemallows in Long Beach. The name really intrigued me and the photos on their website and on Yelp lured us in. While walking up to enter, we heard music bumping and people dancing. I was a bit confused because it honestly was giving me club vibes. But we walked in and people were just living their best lives dancing along to the best of the music. I was for it! Hubby and I made our way to the bar and parked ourselves there. They had drink specials going on so I started off with a basic tequila pineapple. After I chugged that down, I decided to get fancy with it. I ordered a Melona Colada. Let me tell you, it was soooooo delicious!! It was just perfection in a glass.Rosemallows is a restaurant, however, on Sunday evenings they have Sunday Sessions. No food is served during this time and it's just good music playing, good drinks being sipped, and just good vibes flowing around. I was all for it. The staff was super friendly and accommodating.Hubby and I are already planning our next visit.“

We purposely made our reservation for 6 pm because we gad my 2 granddaughters with us and the waiting for the food was way too long for them in particular.
