Starting with the welcoming staff at the entrance. John, your hospitality is the beginning of the joyful experience. The restaurant is so elegant. We enjoyed the vaulted ceilings with wood beams. We enjoyed the large window at the kitchen area so you can see the Chefs at work. We got to sit next to the impressive wine rack display. The restaurant’s ambiance wouldn’t be complete without the soft background music. Our waiter, Issac, was a delight. He provided us with his expertise in choosing our wines, appetizers, entrees, and desserts. It was a pleasure to meet to give special thanks to the Chef, Danny Le and Su Chef, Donald. Their expertise is why we had an amazing and delicious dinner.“

“Ate lunch Mother’s Day so understandably was a busy day. We made a reservation and they sat us quickly. Brought us water timely. We ordered drinks, appetiser
and our lunch. Although we had some mishaps with getting our food timely and sending one meal back, everyone took very good care of us and treated us well. The food was great. The Rib Eye was huge.(not pictured) Desserts were fabulous. We will definitely be eating here again.“

However, Camille suggested a couple of dishes for us and they did not disappoint and in fact I would’ve licked the plates if it was publicly appropriate. “​First time checking this spot out since the remodel, and they did an amazing job with the space! The atmosphere is super trendy, light, and open, and I absolutely love all the plants scattered throughout. It has a great vibe with lounge music playing in the background. Definitely a perfect spot for a date night.

The Food & Drinks:
• ​Smash Burger Salad: A huge portion, incredibly filling, and delicious.

• ​Luna Chicken: My boyfriend ordered this, and it was a hit. The chicken was cooked perfectly, the sauce was packed with flavor, and the asparagus was nice and tender.

• ​Wine Selection: They have a really nice variety available both by the glass and by the bottle.

The Service:
The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The only minor critique is that the water cups are a bit on the smaller side, and our server was a little too slammed to catch us for refills.

​That being said, the excellent food and gorgeous atmosphere easily make this a 5-star experience. We will absolutely be back!“

“What a beautiful place. We had a wonderful evening with amazing staff. We had a large group and the staff was gracious and accommodating. Highly recommend.“

“Where to even begin with how incredible Cave Catering was? First, people were raving about the food for days. We had the lamb chops when we went for the (super professional, beautiful, immaculate) tasting and fell in love. We knew everyone would love them, and we were right! The shrimp cocktail was divine, and we also had the shrimp aguachile shooters because we couldn’t decide between the two. Grilled cheese, bruschetta, and caprese skewers were also a hit because they were so easy to eat at a cocktail hour and tasted delicious.

On top of that, Chef Nicole saved our wedding multiple times before it even happened. Any time we asked for something (renting linens, silverware, extra servers), she was quick to respond and provided anything we needed. We even texted her at 11pm the night before the rehearsal dinner because we figured out our chargers were broken. Her chargers were rented out that weekend, but she tracked some down and brought them to the wedding. The day of our event, she was on time, professional, and provided amazing staff.

We can’t emphasize enough how lucky we felt to have found Cave Catering. We will definitely be hiring them again for our next event.

“This was my first time coming to Ballast Point, and I had a blast. I went with my wife to watch some of the World Cup games, and the vibe was amazing! TVs in every corner, great views, and tasty food. The ordering setup was very unique. The whole place is open seating, and once you find a table, you scan the QR code located on it to start ordering your food and drinks. Food and beverages arrived within minutes of ordering. Overall, we had an excellent time, and I will definitely be coming back soon.“

“This is probably the crispiest fried chicken I’ve had — super crunchy on the outside and incredibly tender inside.

It’s coated with a full layer of red chili powder, giving it a sweet and spicy kick. If you’re not great with spice, I’d recommend going with the mild level.“
