“Amazing first impression. I don't normally write reviews for a first experience, but this deserves an exception. I got their chicken Alfredo, and have a garlic allergy. He was able to accommodate it which took a little extra prep time, and I still felt well after eating. The portion was large enough it made for an excellent leftovers lunch today, too. So good! I can't wait to go back for this item again. The restaurant is mostly designed for take-out, and I appreciate seeing the A rating in the window and cleanliness of their food prep area. I am interested in other menu items, too, and hope to order again soon. I appreciate how wonderful the food was, and the ownder's kindness to be able to accommodate my unusual request. As soon as I submitted the online order, he called me to verify my order info was correct. Two thumbs up for me!“

“I just found my new favorite place to order food from. Wow, I am so impressed by the way they operate. Food is tasty, approved by my kiddos is a plus. I ordered after a workout and most places were closed and not very healthy options. Then I came an across this place and it did not disappoint. The prices and portions made a sense.“

“The food was very good. I dined solo and had chicken liver mousse, the yellowtail crudo, the peach and tomato burrata salad, and the crab cake. The mousse was rich and interestingly paired with pickled blackberries and honeycomb. The crudo was delicious with the refreshing citrus. The salad too felt very fresh and like I was holding on to late summer. The crab cake was good, the sauce had a nice balance of spice and sweetness, it was very salty which is not unexpected with crab. The service was kind and attentive. I was very pleased with my experience and would return again if I'm back in Santa Monica.“

“Warm, hands on and personalized service. A Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant…Food Made from Scratch, fresh, unique, different, and affordable. Highly recommended! The red onion focaccia bread with herb and Parmesan butter, added Burrata - best- seller, a must. The 3 day brined smoked fried chicken-different taste, with soy and Chiles, a must!!!The Peruvian pork belly with sweet potato , Criolla and crispy quinoa , love it! And the Grilled NY steak with green garlic chimichurri, chorizo aioli and pommes pont neuf, thick cut fries…my son prefers over the fried chicken.“

“Great white is an amazing place. I’ve been there for dinner and lunch. The breakfast burrito is my favorite in all of LA but the dinner experience, the atmosphere is very fun it’s the perfect spot for casual family friendly dinner where the food is amazing The burger was delicious and so are the fish tacos. finally, the banana bread for dessert was so tasty.“

“Tonight we, my husband and I, with our dear friends, the Crays, dined at Tomat for the first of what will be many times. The restaurant features a dining room and a roof top patio. A welcoming, comfortable space. The staff were all friendly and very knowledgeable about all menu items. Our server Miley took excellent care of us throughout dinner and dessert. She assisted us with choosing items that would pair well with each other. She was never too busy to stop to see if everything was to our liking. She brought the chef to our table so we could let him know personally how much we enjoyed his creations. He gave us a bit of background on his plan of sustainability and creativity for his restaurant. The food was amazing. We had several appetizers. The tuna carpaccio was amazing, light and dark tuna with the freshest tomatoes. The welsh rarebit was so delicious. The weiser melon with strawberry kimchi was a delicious surprise. The house milled saffron rice was amazing. Our mains did not disappoint. The trout and chips were excellent. Everyone at the table said “best trout we have ever had”. The vegetable chips were outstanding. The vaca vieja ribeye was perfectly cooked. The pork three ways with chamoy was also perfectly cooked. Dessert was madelines, warm from the oven, with the strawberry sorbet and the saffron ice cream. All were outstanding. Overall, this was a fabulous dining experience. Great food with great service in such a comfortable atmosphere. And, we have already made reservations for next month!“

“I came across Playa Provisions when in town for business. It was a short Uber from the airport, so I figured I'd give it a try. This place is an absolute gem! It is a unique setup that has everything you'd possibly need from morning until late at night: Cafe in the front for coffee and fresh baked good, as well as full breakfast menu. Later in the heat of the afternoon, take a break from the beach (right across the street) and enjoy hand scooped specialty ice cream cones and shakes. Oh look, it's dinner time... and Playa Provisions opens their dining room and bar, some of the best, most relaxed ambience you'll find for miles around. But don't let the casual setting fool you, this is some incredible, elevated cuisine. Chef owners Nick and Brooke (who you might recognize) crafted a menu that's I've been eating my way through, and have yet to find a dish that's not delicious. You've been eating and drinking all day, and are exhausted? Don't leave yet! Wander into the back 'secret' whiskey bar, (Grain Whiskey Bar) and enjoy hand crafted cocktails from award winning bartenders (no, literally), in a gorgeous wood laden atmosphere. I consider myself a foodie, and try as many different restaurants and cuisines as I can. And yet, Playa Provisions remains my favorite restaurant in LA (and that's saying something, considering the amazing places in LA). Run, don't walk, to Playa Provisions. You'll thank me.“

“As always, the food was amazing. Every dish was good. Highly recommend the Crostini, Parker house rolls, and octopus for appetizers. Salmon was cooked perfectly, the scallops and pesto pasta light and bright, the bolognese pasta tasty and not to heavy, and the sea bass was melt in your mouth. My all time favorite is the chili and lime avocado salad. Service not only from our server, but all the other workers, including the hostess that seated us were all incredible,“

“Very underwhelming experience and not worth the hype. The food was mediocre at best. We ordered the Japanese pizza, which came burnt on the bottom, with very little cheese and unappealing arugula (even when we requested extra parmesan, they brought a minuscule portion). The warm olives were unpleasantly bitter, and the spaghetti was completely average. To make matters worse, the venue was overwhelmingly loud, and the crowded middle tables leave zero privacy, making it feel like everyone is seated together. Definitely not returning“

Very expensive at $500 per night, used the 2 $10 free tickets at bar for 2 drinks and still owed $8.36. This was the host hotel and stayed 2 nights Fri/Sat July 22-23, 2022, with hamburger & soup in room, total $1100. T.“

“Brewco Social absolutely nailed it! We came here with two families, 8 of us total, before heading down to the beach, and from the moment we walked in, we felt completely welcomed. The location is unbeatable literally steps from the Manhattan Beach boardwalk, so it’s the perfect place to grab a great meal before hitting the sand.

The service was fantastic. The two girls taking our orders were smiling, friendly, and patient, while the guys were constantly moving around making sure every table was taken care of. It was one of those places where you could tell the entire team was working together like a well oiled machine.

And the bartender deserves a shout-out because he absolutely knew what he was doing! We started with a triple, went to a double, and finished with a single and every drink was on point. 😂

Now the food… WOW. My smash burger was absolutely incredible. Juicy, flavorful, perfectly cooked. Honestly one of the juiciest smash burgers I’ve had. The kids loved their meals, and the wives were very happy with their salads, so somehow everyone at the table left happy.

The atmosphere was another huge plus. The whole place is beautiful and has that upscale, polished feeling you’d expect from a high-end restaurant in Beverly Hills, but without feeling stuffy or pretentious. It has a really great Manhattan Beach vibe.

5 stars all day. Great location, great food, great drinks, great service, and a beautiful atmosphere. You guys are doing it right, keep up the good work! We’ll definitely be back.“

“Try the short rib poutine if you're craving comfort food! Plenty of gravy and meat. Everything was good, portions good, service excellent, kitchen was fast but it wasn't super busy Sunday afternoon. They also do a great hamburger!“

“I had a great breakfast at Jacks and Joe’s. The bacon, sausage, spam and eggs were cooked just right, the French toast with strawberries and nutella was delicious, and even the hash browns nice a crispy and the mango and pineapple juice smoothie hit the spot. Friendly quick service. Recommended.“
