“Did not try any food, only drinks! Good selection of beer and wine only. Greta outside area/ balcony overlooking 2nd street. Heads up must go up a flight of stairs to get to this place but it’s worth it. Cute and small I liked it and so did my coworkers.“

“Someone important had a birthday today. Happy birthday!!! They were out of the food I ordered so they replaced it with something else ON THE HOUSE. Provided samples of beers. Wheat beer was enjoyed by my SO. Music is blasting, But that's the atmosphere, super positive! Come here for a good time, not necessarily a quiet Convo ??“

“On an unpredicted rainy Wednesday night found myself in the cozy Wrigley Tavern. A locals hangout with the ambiance of the type of joint my dad might have frequented. Great service and a good selection of spirits and beer. The flatbread I tried, well, maybe not next time. I’ll come back on a weekend night for certain.“

“Haven't been there since 1991 when there was red carpet on the walls and Shakey the bartender who we called "Pizza Hut" made strong well drinks. Looks like the place got gentrified so is it really a "dive bar" anymore? Actually looks NICE inside and out!“

“I had wonderful time there at Shannon’s On Pine. Everyone who works there are very friendly and service excellent. I was there for a special event with KLBP and The Long Beach Blues Society. All the musicians who played outside in the outdoor eating area were there for The International Day of Music . I want to thank Shannon’s On Pine for staging this event with our 501(c) California Charity The Long Beach Blues Society. Great food,excellent beverages, and fun atmosphere. Even without a special event this place rocks Bob Barr Long Beach, California“
“I first came to Longbeach from the UK to see a brother in 1987 but was too young to fully appreciate a traditional spit and sawdust type boozer. Anyway, I soon made up for that by following up with several more visits over the years. One year, I recall returning to the UK and someone asking me if I really had been to California as I didn’t have much of a suntan? I guess you don’t get too much sun in O’Connell’s… Haven’t been for many years sadly but I’m sure it’s as good as it always was…“

“This place has the best sandwiches in DTLB. I recently had the Spicy Mo, Yo (turkey, salami, cheese & veggies) on a baguette and it was delicious. Crunchy, tasty and full of flavor - you will not be disappointed. I only wish the sandwich was bigger.“
