“If you want a decent burger I would suggest Wendy's. I believe they don't freeze their patties so they're nice and juicy. I just got a double cheeseburger lettuce and tomato were surprisingly fresh. I also got fries. I rarely eat fast food but Wendy's is top 5. The person at the drive thru was very polite, which is rare these days. Much appreciated.“

“Astrid is my favorite manager here. Always greeted with a smile. She takes the time to say hi and never complains and never tries to argue or prove the customer wrong because of a minor mistake. I've had missing items and items made incorrectly, and she fixes the issue immediately... with a smile. You can't even get mad... you just smile back. She's a true example of what working in customer service as a manager should be. She provides great internal and external customer service. Us familiar customers are glad to see her when we visit. Me coming from a background of 20+ years in the field, some could learn a lot from her. She's AWESOME!“

“My husband and I where staying at the beach for our Anniversary and the Pocket was right down the street. We walked over got some burgers and drinks . “I long heard tales that this had the best burger in LA. I decided finally to visit on my birthday. It was 45 minutes to Compton and worth it. NOTE: It's easy to miss the storefront, The trick is to drive into the large parking lot just south of the storefront. I love the menu here because you can add an egg, pastrami, extra Patty and then there's choices of hot relish and sweet relish. Get both. This is Mama's place and Mama is the best, incredibly friendly, generous and they serve great food. I haven't had chili cheese fries in 6 or 7 years and it was worth breaking that pledge to eat it here. It was so good. I think there's just a little hint of oregano in it that gives it a great flavor. That's unexpected. I ordered a double turkey burger with pastrami and everything on it but mustard and my companion got a double cheeseburger with everything on it. They were freaking outstanding and the price was right. It was so cool to see people who were regulars just coming and going. I'd eat here too because it's the cheapest burger that I've had in La that was decent, my companion noted that McDonald's is just a block away and the burgers. There are the same price but they're not the same quality at all. These are excellent burgers and My friend was like you have to wait like 5 or 10 minutes, but it's worth it because they're cooked right there and it's awesome. A mama let us eat in the table out back and gave us an extra fries and barbecue sauce on top of the chili cheese fries. She was so accommodating and so friendly and gave us a big hug before we left. Próxima vez, Mama!“

“Really good food at a fair price. Bring cash because there's a surcharge for credit cards. I got the chicken teriyaki bowl and it was really good! Teriyaki sauce was also the bomb! Friendly servers. Parking is difficult to get into. Very limited.“

“Found this spot on my way to a DR appointment. Thought it would be worth a try. I like to come to little self owned spots like this. Service was immediate, though there is no inside ordering, there is inside seating. You just order, pay, and recieve at a window then can eat inside if you like. It was clean but a little rundown. Personal I think it gives it character. The food was hot and fresh, and didn't have to wait very long at all. Very affordable. I spent 6.84 for a order of zucchini sticks which was fairly large. Plus 2 ranch. Typically I'd be spending $10 plus for the same order elsewhere“

“Dave's is one spot you're not gonna wanna miss!! It's a burger shack in a gas station parking lot, and it's one of the best meals in the area. The people who work here are great at what they do and really nice. It's really hard to find a good patty melt on rye, and this is one of the best ones in all of LA/Orange. Seasoned fries are so good I eat half of them without even a thought. Places like this are rarer by the year, and Dave's is a gem. Support them often and tip well!“

“We run a busy DIY art studio nearby, and Fantastic Cafe is one of our go to places when we get really busy and need something to go, or when we need an extra energy pickup at the start/end of a long day. Our favorite is the two for one hamburger special after 4 PM, but we also love the patty milk with extra onions, the big, hot fries, and breakfast. Watch out for their milkshakes. They’re huge and addicting.“

“1 star for atmosphere because it is drive thru only no inside seating. Which is fine because I go for the food. They are busy but line moves fast. Please don't make a left on to Telegraph when you exit. Go around the block back to Mills it's safer“
