“As a relocated Chicagoan--who grew up near and ate all the time at SuperDawg on Milwaukee Avenue--I consider myself something of a Chicago Dog connoisseur. And I keep my finger on the pulse of good Chicago Dogs available in and around Los Angeles.

Mustard's deserves a great mention on that front. They know how how to maker a great Chicago Dog, and I will eat at their place most anytime I am in the area.

I have eaten here a number of times, and there is always two or three other tables having Chicago Dogs with me. I think they get a lot of Chicago expats--and I cannnot think of a better complement for a place.

“Astrid is my favorite manager here. Always greeted with a smile. She takes the time to say hi and never complains and never tries to argue or prove the customer wrong because of a minor mistake. I've had missing items and items made incorrectly, and she fixes the issue immediately... with a smile. You can't even get mad... you just smile back. She's a true example of what working in customer service as a manager should be. She provides great internal and external customer service. Us familiar customers are glad to see her when we visit. “I ordered my burger combo over the phone, and the woman who took my order was incredibly friendly and welcoming. When I arrived, my order was ready to go, which made the experience even better.

The Thousand Island dressing is delicious, the fries were fresh and crispy—not reheated—and the burger was absolutely amazing. For a small burger spot, the atmosphere is warm, inviting, and full of great vibes.

I also ordered the chili cheese fries and am excited to try them. I usually order regular fries first to see how a restaurant does the basics, and they definitely exceeded my expectations. I can’t wait to see how the chili cheese fries turn out!“

“We run a busy DIY art studio nearby, and Fantastic Cafe is one of our go to places when we get really busy and need something to go, or when we need an extra energy pickup at the start/end of a long day. “Located on a gas station property, Dave's Burgers is proof that great food can appear in unexpected places. My double cheeseburger came on a toasted sesame seed bun with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and Thousand Island-style spread. It delivered everything I want from a classic burger: juicy beef, fresh toppings, and no unnecessary gimmicks. Definitely worth the stop.

“THIS PLACE IS AMAZING in the best possible way. Today I went for lunch with my 90 year old mother, my wife, and our two teenagers - a pretty diverse group, and not real easy to please. Everybody was extremely happy with what they ordered - the only complaint was from my wife, saying afterwards that she had "eaten too much" but couldn't stop because it was so delicious! She had the "heart stopper" burger, which includes bacon and a fried egg. My son and I often split two plates so we can try more things, and the pastrami sandwich and Frisco burger were both GREAT. I should have ordered the Pastrami on grilled rye - personal preference - but the roll it was served on was still very fresh. My daughter ordered the pastrami as well, and she loved hers. Grandma got the Reuben, and is looking forward to finishing it for dinner (huge sandwich for an old lady). We also tried the fried zucchini - best I've had in many years. Great fries and onion rings as well. I think that this may have just become our new family joint for a quick bite. My only regret is that I didn't find it earlier...... I spoke briefly with the manager, and he was really nice - working hard, because of the lunch rush, but was clearly committed to providing great food and great service.“
