After looking at the menu, I decided to order the nice chef's choice which was an Oasis Burger which had thousand island dressing, tomato, vegan cheese, bacon, and an onion ring with animal friendly fries and hubby ordered a Mexicali burger and a three piece "chicken" tenders with bbq sauce, vegan ranch, and vegan honey mustard dipping sauce.. While we waited for our food, hubby asked if their milkshakes contained any nuts and was told that they didn't contain nuts which is good info for our next visit. Once our food arrived, we were delighted by how it looked and happy at how delicious everything tasted. The tenders were crispy yet tender, our burgers were hot and juicy and my animal friendly fries were the perfect combination of crispy, cheesy, and saucy. The restaurant has a friendly vibe and despite obvious sign that it was a former fast food restaurant, having a fun vegan menu has helped breathe new life into a tired building. We will definitely be visiting this location again the next time we're in the area.”

Everything was the delicious. The ribs were marinated for 24 hours. The barbecue pork and the chicken were all marinated in the same sauce. The owner told me the service was fast and this whole ambience was nice some of the best food I've had in a long time next time I'm going to Garden Grove. I will come here again.”

I also have a fear of really hot spicy food because it makes me sick. No problem here - the chicken was so delicious, and not "hot" spicy at all. Just a really great flavor. My friend ordered the same, and her reaction was the same. Great flavor, so tasty! The service was great too! But the very best part was the size of the serving - it was such a generous serving, I had to ask for a to-go container, and enjoyed it again later that day. I have pressed to call for a server multiple times and hearing the ping letting them know a table needed help but I could not get their attention. I only got my check after the table next to us asked for a check when I told them I wanted a check. I partly blame the system for not properly letting the staff know since the ping only went off for a server request but also for how unattentive the staff is to some other guests. “After my husband and I picked up orders from Yoshinoya, we noticed a restaurant across the Beach Boulevard advertising takeout deals: two Teriyaki Chicken Bowls for $13, two California Rolls for $9.50, and a buy-one-get-one-50%-off deal on any rolls. So we decided to swing by and grab some Teriyaki Chicken Bowls to go a week later.

When we walked in, there was an Asian auntie and a young staff behind the counter. As we ordered, we got to chatting, and the auntie told us that she used to own a restaurant in Buena Park for 18 years before moving to Stanton in this location 7 years ago. (She might be the owner but I’m not 100% sure) She proudly assured us that everything the restaurant served is fresh and delicious. Just by looking at the neatly arranged ingredients at the sushi bar section, I could already tell this place is good.

We ordered the takeout special: two Teriyaki Chicken Bowls for $13. It was such a great deal, and they were indeed very delicious. The chicken was tender, and the sauce had a refreshing hint of lemon. The bowls came with two slices of carrot, cabbage, and broccoli, along with a perfectly portioned amount of rice. Just as the auntie guaranteed , it was tasty and worth every penny. (If you dine in, there’s no discount. These deals are only for takeout.)

The menu offers a lot of variety. The lunch specials (11:00 AM - 3:00 PM) seem like a steal. Here are some combos it offers as follows and we’ll definitely be back to try more.

“After a long flight into (LGB), I was in desperate need of a sweet treat to lift my spirits, and Sweet Gs did not disappoint. Known for their delectable cookies, this charming spot exceeded all my expectations.

I decided to try a variety of flavors: red velvet, ube, Oreo, and peanut butter. Each cookie was a little piece of heaven.

The red velvet cookie was a delightful surprise—rich, moist, and perfectly complemented by its subtle creamy frosting. It had the signature taste of red velvet cake without being overly sweet, striking a balance that made me crave another bite.

Moving on to the ube cookie, I was thrilled to discover an authentic flavor that captured the essence of this beloved Filipino dessert. The vibrant purple hue was eye-catching, and the cookie itself was wonderfully soft, with a hint of nuttiness and a delightful sweetness that kept me wanting more.

The Oreo cookie was a familiar classic that Sweet Gs executed flawlessly. It was like a gourmet version of the iconic sandwich cookie—crispy edges with a soft, chewy center that perfectly mimicked the original while adding a homemade touch. It was indulgent without being overwhelming.

Lastly, the peanut butter cookie was a dream for any peanut butter lover. Rich and creamy, it was packed with flavor and had just the right amount of chewiness. The salty-sweet balance was spot-on, making it one of my favorites from the lineup.

In addition to the incredible flavors, I have to commend the texture of these cookies. Each variety had its own unique mouthfeel, from soft and chewy to a slightly crisp exterior. Sweet Gs clearly pays attention to the details, ensuring that every bite is an experience.

The ambiance at Sweet Gs was warm and inviting, making it the perfect pit stop. The staff was friendly and eager to help, enhancing the overall experience.

I'll start by saying the food here is amazing! You can never go wrong with any choice. Somethings that aren't to great are the pricing as it might be a couple of bucks more expensive than other places as well as other peruvian places I have been to sometimes give complimentary bread and a small soup as here you would have to pay extra for that. The other downside is the parking is horrible, there is about maybe only 16 parking spots (estimating) but half are probably taken by the workers from neighboring stores. So sometimes I can't get a spot or I have to park across the street or elsewhere. Not their fault, but just a heads up about the location wise.”
