“Absolute perfection.First visit, I willed through a disc hernia to eat here. I ordered the Combo Pho and some egg rolls and I swear it healed me. The large was only a few dollars more and was a challenge to finish all the meat. It actually was so good, I had left without my wallet but the waitress ran to catch me. It was much appreciated as her service during the meal was just as full of effort.Second visit, today is what made me write this review. I have been trying this combo (bun nuong cha gio?) All over OC and this was one of the most fresh and flavorful ones I had. I will most certainly come back as others cannot provide the flavor and quantity Pho Lam Son provides at their prices.“

We went here as part of our Pho Crawl throughout OC and tasted the followings - Pho 79, Pho Nic (2nd place), Pho RedBo, Pho Kuroushi and Pho Lab. This one won hand down. The place is clean, modern and wonderful wait staff... But we are here for PHO, so here is the review... First, the broth - superb - rich but very balanced. Meat cuts - plenty and wonderfully tender. Noodles - on point - right amount of chewiness and held up well even after 15 minutes. Condiments were served on cute, little individual plate and one really cool thing - the scallions were shredded in long strands (vs. simply chopped)... The price point is really great - better quality than either of the Wagyu's beef joint (about 7-8 bucks less). Run here!“

“I have been here few times and it’s one of my favorite local Vietnamese eatery to me! I got the pork belly salad and the grilled pork bánh mì. I love that for the salad you have side sauces to dip or pour into the salad bowl at the amount you want and the bánh mì is very flavorful and pack of flavor in each bite. I also got the strawberry lemonade, Vietnamese coffee, banana pudding, and a chocolate chip cookie. All perfectly sweetened and no disappointment. Will definitely come back and staff was very efficient and friendly upon arrival!

“A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of visiting this wonderful restaurant, thanks to my two friends who are regulars here. One of California’s strengths is its ability to excel in vegetarian and vegan cuisine in ways that other states have yet to achieve. This restaurant specializes in Vietnamese vegetarian dishes, serving each one fresh and with great care. I tried the vegetarian Bun Bo Hue with soy beef, a dish I hadn't had since my last visit to the Los Angeles area, and it completely satisfied my craving. The fried tofu is particularly remarkable; I still dream about it. I’m intrigued by how it remains light and crispy without any hint of greasiness or oil.

“This is not the mainstream Pho restaurant that I'm familiar with. I tried "unsual" dishes, and I'm glad I did.

1st - chicken salad. It's shredded veggies (cabbage and carrots) with chicken fillet. What was unusual was the dressing when compared with American chicken salad. The dressing was a combination of fish sauce, ginger, and garlic blend. Add some chili for some kick. Magic happens when you combine the sauce with the salad. I wasn’t expecting that I would be blown away with it. I loved it so much.

2nd - Chicken soup with flat nodles. They serve the soup separately from the chicken and the usual thai basil and blanced sprouts on the side. It's up to you to assemble your plate. The broth was tasty and herby after putting the thai basil.

3rd - Chicken internal organs - heart, liver, etc. It was prepared well and a great topping to either the salad or the soup.

Everything tasted awesome and will definitely come back again to try their other dishes next time.“

“Nice modern ambient to have a decent bowl of pho. Only one entrance to plaza so be patient. Altho the pho flavor was above avg, the experience was cheapen by serving it in a hard plastic bowl. A clay/stone/stainless steel bowl will definitely enhance the experience.“

“Excellent & fast service: I was able to easily swap out different noodle and meet options for my pho - wanting to try something different I was deciding between the egg and glass noodles so I went with glass! I also don’t like meatballs generally so replaced that with extra tendon. The owner was very friendly, accommodating and open to my suggestions so 5 stars for that! Broth and meat quality is good although falls short of the best at Pho RedBo. Broth is 3 because a tad bland lacking the richness of Pho Quang Trung and Pho RedBo while meat is a solid 4.

“We ordered the spring rolls and pho with beef and meatballs and both were excellent. I especially liked the dipping sauce for the spring rolls. The service was very prompt, friendly and helpful - the server understood my not liking overly sweet drinks and recommended the cucumber lemonade as refreshing while still having sweetness. It was, indeed, refreshing and sweet - perfectly balanced flavors. The server also wisely suggested we package the noodles and broth of our leftovers seperately. I almost never eat out, but I would if I lived near Soup Shop.“

“We found this place on a whim, and it did not disappoint. The food was amazing and the best part is the price is fair. My mom and I got two pho soups, two sandwiches, two appetizers that came out to $54. Other pho shops would have charged us $65 for all, and they gave us free refills on thai tea (free thai tea in general) Fyi the lady was NOT playing when she said the bowl ia huge. It really was.
