“Solid hidden gem in Stanton. Double Bamboo Restaurant delivers excellent value with surprisingly high quality food at prices that are hard to beat.

It’s a husband and wife run spot, and while they can come off a bit brusque, you can tell they work efficiently as a strong team and really know their kitchen.

The standout for me was the yum nuea salad, a Thai beef salad. Fresh, flavorful, and only $10, which is an incredible deal for the portion and quality. I’m already planning to come back to try more, especially the pho at just $7.25 for a regular bowl.

Great food, unbeatable prices, and no frills service that gets you exactly what you came for. Definitely worth repeat visits.“

The large was only a few dollars more and was a challenge to finish all the meat. It actually was so good, I had left without my wallet but the waitress ran to catch me. “First time here. You can sit on your own or wait until they give you the menus. It took a while to get attended and ordered a coke can. Took a bit for the drink to be given so the owner gave me another one for free for the waiting, The pho is a perfect size and the price was $13 for a regular one. I got the combination one which was amazing and used the sweet sauce given. Small business and sometimes they have live music.“

“When we got done a Desconso Gardens, we were looking for a local place to try. The reviews we read were right on. I had a turkey avocado sandwich on Armenian bread. It was fresh and delicious. And the tomato bisque soup was out of this world. It is cash only so come prepared, but it's well worth it!“

“This may be my new favorite pho in Huntington Beach. The broth is incredible and has a nice rich flavor. I ate half my bowl before taking a picture, but I got the 2 meet pho with double steak and it was a really nice portion. The house made chile sauce had a really nice flavor as well. I’m a bit of a wimp with spice so I only added a couple dashed into my bowl and it still has a kick but such good flavor. Definitely try this place out“

“The food is amazing, portions are large, and prices are very fair. The $16.95 short rib pho comes with two huge short rib bones and unlimited noodles! Such a good deal. My favorite was honestly the lomo saltado, the fries were so crisp and the filet was so tender with a delicious, smoky wok fire flavor. The spring crunch slaw is a steal at $6.95, it’s a ton of slaw for such a cheap price and the peanut butter/chili oil dressing is bomb. It was pretty busy when I went, but they brought out the food amazingly fast for how big of a group was seated ahead of me. Definitely recommend this spot.“

“My sisters and I came to this restaurant, and they were playing the news. We didn't feel like being bummed by the news, so we asked if the restaurant minded if they could change the channel. The staff gave us the remote and let us change the channel ourselves! I really really appreciated that. We have come back many times since! Out of all the bánh cuốn places we've had in OC, theirs is closest to authentic Hanoi bánh cuốn. It's not perfect but it's close! Thank you again!“

“Pho 101 is literally my go-to in the area for pho. I used to hit up Pho 79 frequently - which is in the same family as Pho 101. Pho 101 is cleaner, their parking lot has fewer potholes (compared to 79) and accepts cash and card.

The broth is what makes a pho dish - and the broth here is rich and flavorful. I believe it's made by steeping oxtails overnight - and the oxtails is a side dish you can order with your pho.

You choose either a Medium or Large bowl of pho - and can customize your bowl by choosing up to 4 choices of protein. I always get the Pho Tai Nam Gau and Gan (Rare, Flank, Fatty Cut, Tendon) - and occasionally a side of oxtail. A side of fresh vinegar onions, and a cup of hot tea completes my order.

Food is great and is always consistent. Everyone I've brought to eat here rave about the food.

Service is prompt and friendly. I go here so often, most of the staff remember my order and seating preferences.

Noise level is appropriate - there is ample light, plenty of seating, food is ordered efficiently through tablets - and served minutes later.

Note: There is only one way to get in and out of this parking lot. Heading Westbound on Edinger towards Bella Terra - it's the first right as soon as you drive down from the overpass between Beach and Newland. If you miss the driveway, you can only U-turn at Edinger/Parkside Lane (where the Springhill Suites is).“

“It is a family owned restaurant serving yummy Vietnamese dishes that are vegan. We love this place. We tried almost everything and each is delicious. The service is a friendly mom and pop restaurant service. They are really accommodating what you need.“

I ordered the three roll special. I had the shrimp, pork sausage, and bulgogi beef. The shrimp roll was as expected, light, fresh, and tasty. The sausage was the best. It had the best flavor and really stood out. The beef was dry, okay flavor-wise, but oh so dry. Each roll had lettuce, shredded carrot, cilantro, cucumbers, mint, and garlic chives. These added crunch, texture, and a freshness that really was nice.

It was, indeed, refreshing and sweet - perfectly balanced flavors. The server also wisely suggested we package the noodles and broth of our leftovers seperately.
