“Never had hunan chicken before I tried it here. The sauce over the juicy chicken and the ginger rice was absolutely delicious. Broth was super good as was the salad. 10/10 highly recommended if you like simple authentic Chinese food without the unhealthy American twist. Was ready super quick. And the Thai iced tea was really good as well.“

“First time here at Dave’s hot chicken in Lakewood and it was delicious. Amanda H is the cashier who helped us and she was pretty amazing. She was friendly and had real good customer service skills. “I’ve been eating at this location for a couple years now and the food is always good. However, today the food was prepared exceptionally well and we loved everything that we had. There were also some new items which was a nice surprise. The employees were very friendly and helpful. St the last minute, I added some additional items and the items came out quicker than expected.“

“I love how vintage it feels when you walk in, the jams are fire, it feels like you're at a music record store but you're actually there for a delightful meal!!! I got the 6pc wing combo, with the gala mala and red disco and let me tell you it was sooo good but I definitely recommend the gala mala if you want that spicy kick. we also got the lemon curry with popcorn chicken, supa fire chicken!!! my man got the a chicken sandwich, don't really remember the name but it was fire ahh chicken, I think it was honey something... oh and the service was exquisite!!! super chill spot, not packed and everything is fresh so there is a lil wait time.. I forgot to take pics of the food 😩“

“They have really great flavor for their chicken. Their sauce is top notch. I am not a fan of thousand island but their sauce is really good! I love that it doesn't have pickles. Oh and the seasoning for their fries! Delicious and mouth watering flavors! Their bread is the perfect softness and there is enough chicken for every bite! Even the coleslaw they use taste great! Again, not a fan of coleslaw but theirs is a subtle flavor that just complement the slider sandwich.
I am a big wuss when it comes to spicy food but even their no spice selection is loaded with flavor!“

“okay so truthfully i’ve never actually step
foot inside this establishment, BUT, i have ordered food off their app and gotten it delivered like honestly 15 times in the last 2-3 months. i live in grad housing at UCI and order food from here often when i have a late workday. there’s not been one delivery where i have not gotten exactly what i ordered. sometimes they even hook it up with an extra salsa or two for my tortilla chips. i order the double chicken bowl and 10/10 times that bowl slaps. always hits the spot. food is great quality, chicken is always spot on, never dry. great food portions that make other places look like they need to step up their game. lowkey may never physically visit this place but will mostly mobile order from here over other food places. gg staff. also highly recc the app if you don’t have it.“

First off, Cynthia took my order and she was fantastic, offering her personal faves to try; which, I got the honey garlic boneless wings and the cheese sticks 🤤 MOUTH WATERING!!! “I would give this place 4.5 stars just for the chicken alone. It is extremely crispy and juicy, and it's not oily at all (like many fried chicken joints)
I would say the service isn't phenomenal. I think it must depend on the person who is working. I came in yesterday (Friday) and a lady with short hair was slightly careless, but nothing too horrible. I would still come back for the fried chicken.
The reason for the 4 stars on food is because of the western carbonara. I am convinced they must've forgot the salt or any other seasonings, but they definitely did not forget the cheese or cream, because it was creamy -- maybe too creamy. It would be way better if they added salt and pepper because that was the blandest pasta I've ever had. I had to add my own seasonings.
But nonetheless the fried chicken is really yummy. I would recommend the chicken with secret sauce (which tastes like orange chicken)“

“I've always been able to find parking here, but on Saturday it was not happening. I parked on the street, but noticed when I exited the store to go get coffee next door, there was a parking lot in the back! If you're going north on Harbor, turn right on Las Riendas Dr, then turn right on Ladera Terrace and you can access the back parking lot of the shopping plaza. There's more space and spots to park in the back.
Ordered via their website because I was craving an egg sandwich in the afternoon. I went with the sausage, egg and cheese sandwich and it was good, but the sauce that they use is overpowering. My order was at the counter and the cashier was nice and handed it to me. There's indoor and outdoor seating and I went next door to get coffee at Bodhi Leaf and ate my sandwich outside of the shop, where the wooden bench/sofa is at. I loved the egg consistency and it was cooked just right with a little runny yolk, but not too runny. The bun or bread used was nice, fluffy and milky and the sausage tasted like your standard breakfast sandwich. The only thing was the sauce was too overpowering and took away from the flavor of the egg and sausage. That's the only thing I would change, other than that solid sandwich.“

“This was our first time here. We got take out. The food was so good. The chicken has the perfect crunch. You can tell it's made when ordered and not just sitting there. We got the honey garlic wings and for the sides, fries and the cheesling cheese balls. The cheese balls are delicious, never had something like that before, sweet and cheesy. We will definitely be coming back. We live 5 minutes away, and see ourselves as regular customers. 100% recomend.“

“We were recommended to this place by some friends, so we decided to give it a try. We walked in and were immediately greeted, asked if we knew what we wanted. We said we needed a coyote of minutes, but the gentleman said no problem, but answered some questions we had. We ordered the chicken skins, hush puppies and the #1 with light meat (breast and a wing with potato wedges and a roll). The hush puppies were so flavorful, no need for a dipping sauce. The chicken skins were huge and also very flavorful. I finally got to my chicken because it was so hot, I'm not sure because I had the other stuff, but the chicken wasn't as flavorful as the other stuff I had. The potato wedges were good, very hot as well. We will be back! Good value for what you get!“

“I ordered the chicken leg meat with dipping sauces and broth. Honestly, the chicken was great on its own. I didn't care for any of the sauces. The rice was a bit salty but still good.
The setup felt a little odd. There was a loud speaker on loop reminding Uber and DoorDash drivers to pick up orders in the back. It was super annoying. I really think they would benefit from having a host instead of relying on that speaker.
That said, the place itself was cool, and I liked that you can order from several different shops all through the same kiosk.“

Both experiences were great, especially when speaking with lady who took my order who was extremely kind. The Chicken Sando I got was EXCELLENT along with the Cajun Fries. I'm definitely gonna continue eating Legend Hot Chicken.“
