“Visited this location twice with an online order then sometime later with an over the phone order. Both experiences were great, especially when speaking with lady who took my order who was extremely kind. The Chicken Sando I got was EXCELLENT along with the Cajun Fries. I'm definitely gonna continue eating Legend Hot Chicken.“

“This year we chose Black Bear diner for the location of our annual Chrispen Team Pumpkin Pie giveaway, and we couldn't have been more impressed. The manager Isaid was amazing from the start helping me plan the event and order hundreds of pies. The large patio provided a private and cheerful atmosphere and was the perfect spot for the event. Carlos and the rest of the staff were amazingly attentive and handled everything we needed on the day of the event. All of our clients raved about how delicious the pies were and loved the convenient location. We can't wait to come back next year!“

The servers were really friendly and professional. We were so tired after a hard day of traveling and really enjoyed just relaxing. The staff didn't act bothered that we didn't eat quick and leave. We had a really nice time.“

“Our server Laura was very pleasant and attentive. We came in on Father's Day which is busy everywhere. Parking lot full and there was a line when we went inside, but it went by fairly quickly. We were seated within 10 minutes time. Food was fresh, salad bar stocked, and ice cream available. Happy with the location for years and will be back.“

Michael our server came out and created us, by saying it was so nice to see you here again. Michael remember our drink order and promtly brought it out to us. We loved watching the food prep (even the learning moments), they explained some R&D going on (that we got to try! ) the somnlier Mickey was spot on! “I think this is where Bistro Huddy got its inspiration...but really, the food is great, especially the blueberry pancakes. WoW. I had the veggie omelet this time around. Word of warning, the coffee is terrible. Especially the cappuccino...tastes like a K-cup version. Not worth the $5.25 I paid, I couldn't finish it because of the weird aftertaste. As for service, everyone is very friendly. We got 'Nicole' for our waitress. Very FAST and efficient. (don't expect a warm and fuzzy conversation...) The food is gets onto the table so fast, you don't get a chance to ask questions before she's gone. Reminds me of YouTube KSenia..lolz. But for real...The Food is excellent. Nice quiet diner serving an older clientele, a nice outdoor patio just blocks from the beach. It can get chilly, so I recommend bringing a sweater. Enjoy!“

“I've been going to Pieloon for a few years now and it is THE BEST restaurant in Downey! The food is always fabulous, the portions are large, the service is perfect! I've had appetizers, salads, pastas, steaks, burgers, sandwiches (I'm addicted to the BLT) and many of their specials. My family and I go now 2x a week and have trouble deciding what to get because it's all so good! And the pies...their pumpkin pie is the best I've ever had and the blueberry cheesecake is fabulous...but just wait until fresh peach pie season...I'll gain weight just thinking about it...the fresh peach is the best pie I've ever, EVER had! I love this place and the people who work there!! They're like family now!“
