“Woke up hung over af and had cravings for some soup. Found this gem through a friend and I lucked out bc I was craving chicken pho, my favorite. Have to say it's my first time in this area (Wrigley Village) but it's nice to know there are still cozy corner stores serving up small specialized menu items. P.S Compliments to the chef for the wonderful bowl of goodness and s/o to my server Nick for being awesome! Definitely will be back to try their other items like their banh mi (that pho French dip sounds🔥🔥)“

“1000% will be back! I was at the laundromat next door and ran over for a quick lunch while my clothes were in the dryer. The service was impeccable and quick, food was delicious, and portions were spot on. I had the breakfast bowl and an order of mini pancakes and will have enough for a second meal. You can tell it’s all made by hand and with love, fresh and hot. The restaurant was also clean and comfortable with plenty of street parking nearby. There is a laundromat next door too - so you could give yourself a little treat while your clothes are in the dryer.“

I tipped my smaller bulls but felt bad since I had a large bill (surviving until pay day).

“Went late one evening right before closing and needed a pick me up and got an iced cafe de olla latte. It was delicious. I was there for about 10 minutes talking with the barista and she was so nice and knowledgeable about their business. Let me try some of the cream soda which is A+ made in house child nostalgia. Need to bring my mom back there with me.“

“We came most days during our trip to the area. Highlights were the vegan cookies, seasonal rose cardimon lattes hot, the iced vanilla latte and avocado toast. Friendly and creative staff. Also tried the pistachio chocolate croissant and the sweet scone. Everything was awesome! I wouldn’t order the sweet scone again (wasn’t that sweet) but everything overall was so nice and the service was so pleasant. They are a very nice coffee shop“

“Long overdue review here. Been coming as a local for about 5 years and this spot NEVER disappoints. The food is always full of flavor from burgers, to chorizo tacos, to the pancakes and scrambles. The fries have a great texture and the butter...yes the butter on the pancakes kicks it up a notch or 2. Even their salsas are delish. BUT what's really amazing is the staff! Everyone is so nice and kind. It really feels like a local family owned spot in a small town. And the staff seem to love working their as I have seen the same faces for years...there's even dishes named after a few.

I would recommend this as the best breakfast / lunch cafe in Long Beach.“

“First heard about The Grain Cafe through the Vegan Street Fair a few years back and ordered the club sandwich at their booth. Very delicious sandwhich! Craved it since. Recently visited their location in person for the first time to meet up with a friend there. Of course I ordered the club sandwich and it was just as good as I remember. Very welcoming environment as soon we walked in. We were able to choose own own seating and were assisted quickly. Took us a while to order since there's so many great diverse food items. Breakfast is served all day which made it hard to choose. I will be back again to try the tres leche pancakes :)! All food items are Vegan.“

“I have been coming to Grounds Bakery & Cafe since the day they opened. They have some of the best fresh breads and pastries. Such a massive selection. My favorite are the sandwiches. Honestly the best tuna sandwich in the world. And literally, I mean the world- I have tried them everywhere. And their is not single place other then grounds that gets them right and perfect.
