“#UbuntuCafe is located in the #BelmontHeights community of #LongBeach #90814. It is well known to all the locals as “The Greatest Neighborhood Cafe”. #RTR knows it as a great place to come enjoy delicious food & enjoy the weather in the outdoor open setting. I always order the chicken bowl! Yummy Yummy~ See you here!“
“The food and service at the new location are just as wonderful as the original location. I look forward to more of my favorite dishes coming over. For now, I am enjoying trying new dishes and the lunch specials are a great deal. The team members are extremely friendly/inviting, and I always enjoy their recommendations.“
“It was busy at the store today. Donna wasn't there today to help me at the self check out register. She is patient with me, and helps when ever she is able. Thankfully, i only had 3 items. Whew! No matter how busy, she always welcomes me with a smile.“
“I’m from Washington, so I’m a bit of a coffee snob. This place met and exceeded expectations. Iced Americano is classic perfect signature, strength, espresso taste. The violet caramel mocha is extremely smooth and subtle flavors. Well worth the risk to try one of the signature items. Extremely clean and inviting environment.“
“What a hidden gem! Ample parking and a beautiful space. Who would've known there's a great spot in this business area? Service was awesome! And everyone was very friendlThe drink menu was so diverse and they even have large batch cocktails to go. The food menu has something for everyone. I liked that there was breakfast and pastries along with lunch items. We got two bloody Mary's, a cold brew, salad, soup, burger and sandwich. Which came out to about $80ish before tips. Everything was so good! I want to go back to try more.“
“"RightExperience" I was visiting LB and made RightMealz my choice three times in three days. I even got to meet the owner Chris. In principle it's a simple business, but the execution and food was just perfect. The staff is friendly - even the coffee is superb. Long Beach is lucky to have them!“
“A friend of mine introduced me to this place. He went on a couple of vacations to Italy, Greece, France, and a few other places and in the process came back with a far better appreciation for espresso.Hands down, his favorite place when he's in town for a simple espresso is this place. He says there's no competition. My palette isn't nearly as discerning as his, and I normally don't take espresso straight up, some taking his word on it.Whenever we come here I always ask the barista which is her favorite drink. A lot of them are seasonal and change regularly. They also have plenty of milk alternatives for people like me with a little bit of milk sensitivity.I've never had a bad drink here, never had a bad experience, the place is clean, the service is pleasant and friendly and knowledgeable, and it's easy to waste an hour or two. Just chatting and enjoying yourself here.“
“Always trust yelp! no wonder why there's so many good reviews on the wholesome bowl it's like a healthy taco bowl it's amazing! Also got the pro Tien dreams movie which was an amazing healthy tasting smoothie. I will definitely be coming here more now that they closed my favorite place in this center tocaya“
“I tried their lox bagel today, and it was so satisfying. They do not skimp on the cream cheese, the lox, or the caper. All the ingredients tasted fresh and fragrant. Service was friendly and attentive, even though it's just counter service. Hours after I finished my bagel sandwich, my stomach is still thanking me.“
“Coffee is good & vegan dount as well!Came here for a quick coffee run! Big time worth it!Ordered there Iced Horchata Latte 5/5Cost $ 7.50$1.00 for oatmilkTotal $8.50Vegan Dount$3.00The place was good but it cost a lot for a coffee for sure!Perfect place to do some work! For sure, it's a nice vibe!“
“Stopped by for breakfast before heading to the airport. Service from the Asian lady was much better than the white female lady.Food:Fruit BowlPopeye OmeletBiscuits & GravyThe Popeye Omelet was good and plentiful. I truly enjoyed the Biscuits & Gravy. It was delcious.I'd return again“
“if you're in downtown long beach and want a quick breakfast and a hot coffee or tea to go with it, this is the place ...and you won't pay ridiculous trendy prices for fashionable- people palces .this is just a good, proper old fashioned sandwich - drinks- shop with a really relaxing interior ...why go to a chain coffeehouse or a sketchy donut shop when you can come here ?..and parking spots aren't a problem .or you can walk .“
“The bacon avocado toast was the best I've ever had and I try them all! It's huge and full of fun extras! The bacon was perfectly cooked and plenty of it. To top it all the service and lattes were just as top notch! I'll be back!“
“came here on a saturday & it was exceptional !it's small but wasn't too busy, which worked out ! Everyone is really friendly, and the pastries were delicious.I got a Honey Oat Latte price of $6it had a perfect balance of sweet & strong ! 10/10my friend ordered a Burnt Carmel Latteprice of $5.50tried it and it was good ! Probably a little bit stronger but still good !Don't know the pastry names, but they were phenomenal 10000/10the vibe is everything !Coming back for sure ! ♡“
“This Cafe was very good, the staff were extremely friendly, and the inside is more spacious than it looks on the outside. If you love hot sauce this place not only offers a variety of popular hot sauces at the table but they also have salsa habanero and medium if you ask for it. I tried their Habanero salsa and it was very tasty! I also tried their country fried steak and eggs with cheese a top my eggs and the salsa ready complimented this dish. 10/10 would recommend this cafe!“
“Still my favorite breakfast spot of ALL TIME. We live far but still try to stop by whenever we're near. I love their chilaquiles and omelettes. The coffee is also really good and unlimited. However, the must haves are the super spuds. Make sure to upgrade your hash browns!!!“
“I am really new to the vegan world! But my daughter has made the change and committed. I took her to The Grain for her birthday. The place is very welcoming, the service is excellent. The food is wonderful to say the least! Can't wait to get back for more of the the exciting fare. The menu being quite extensive, cpmpleted with a very tasty dessert selection. And, they also have a Seperate offering of Authentic Oaxacan food, very quaint. Long time in the community. Look them up“
“I was having a rough day and really needed some caffeine and a snack. I walked in and the environment was immediately cozy, calm, and inviting. This kind woman answered all of my questions and recommended me a beverage with coffee infused ice cubes!! It was extremely delicious and my new favorite coffee by far! (Coming from a Starbucks barista's perspective). I also had a cini mini, and it was a perfect, sweet little snack to pair with my coffee. Thank you for a great experience, y'all just earned a new regular!“
“The breakfast burrito is phenomenal. I order it without pico de gallo, bacon, & add potatoes. Eggs are fluffy, potatoes are seasoned and have a Cajun kick, & bacon is thick. It may look small but it’s hearty! This coffee shop has a calm, inviting atmosphere. There is outlets so great place to work/study.“
“great food, great vibea! we got the family style and it was so good, highly recommend the lamb chops! someone in our group cried because the food was so good. the waitstaff was so nice and helpful (especially Fabio) and it was a great night, highly recommend!“
“They have wonderful gourmet bagels that are a cut above your typical mundane ones. All the breakfast bagel sandwiches are intriguing, but I haven't had the chance to try them yet. Now I have a very good reason to return. My new job is in Lakewood, and I will also check out their original location.“
“Visiting from out of town and found this place. Needed vegetarian options and they definitely have some. Had egg and soy chorizo burrito and fruit cup. It was delicious. Great service, busy but still attentive. Bought a tofu and soy chorizo wrap with homemade chips to have later on and it was great too. Definitely recommend for breakfast or lunch.“
“Came here every morning for breakfast while visiting Long Beach California for a conference. 10/10 experience lots of yummy food options. Last day I brought my roomies and they all loved the food and atmosphere as well. Food is freshly cooked and cheap. My roomie states: super good Vietnamese coffee and chicken adobo (~$14 total) below is a photo of her food. Healthy portion of food for the price as well. Chicken adobo is a bit sweeter than normal but not complaining very tasty!“
“I live about a 10 minute walk from this Philz location on 2nd street in Belmont/Long Beach. Although 2nd street has changed over the past few months I still frequent it solely based on Philz coffee. Absolutely the best coffee on the planet.“
“EXCELLENT!!. I had Gumbo Fries which was full of chicken, shrimp and sausage and the file/sauce was Flavorful and was soo good. My Friend had the Catfish basket which was cooked to perfection and cobbler. We/I will definitely be back. Great location for family and alone time. Most of all the service was WONDERFUL and everyone including the cook/chef made us feel Welcomed and took the time to talk to us and made sure we were satisfied. Do yourself a favor and try it yourself.“
“if you're coming here to just do work, I recommend it for sure !A lot of space & just a quiet place to chill & catch up with work!Got a vanilla lattePrice 6.25 & w/ oat milk 1 dollar Chocolate lattePrice 6.251 guava pop tartePrice 6 dollarslove the space & just the whole ambiance for sure ! coming back !“
“In a party of four, I ordered breakfast and coffees on a weekday morning. I ordered the uova benedetto, essentially an Italian take on Eggs Benedict with pesto, fresh basil, poached eggs, prosciutto, and provolone on focaccia. It was delicious, although a bit challenging to cut with the butter knife provided. They had a nice selection of seasonal coffee options, and the seasonal latte I ordered was delicious! One of the drinks we ordered was delivered incorrectly, but the baristas corrected it quickly and were friendly. I would order breakfast and/or coffees from this restaurant again if I visit Long Beach again.“
“If breakfast were an Olympic sport, this place would take home the gold, silver, and bronze! The food? So delicious it's practically doing a victory lap in my mouth. The service? Attentive enough to make my coffee feel loved and appreciated. And the ambiance? Open and spacious enough to make me consider setting up a tent and moving in permanently. If you find yourself in the area and hungry enough to eat a horse (figuratively, of course), do yourself a favor and sprint, don't walk, to this breakfast haven. Your taste buds will thank you, your stomach will thank you, and I might just thank you for joining me in breakfast paradise.“
“came to this little coffee shop to work for a bit and it's a cute little shop that is dog friendly. i appreciate the variety in their menu. i got an iced lavender vanilla latte and it was one of the better lavender lattes i've had compared to other places i've been. the staff and customers here are very friendly and give really great recommendations if you are new to the place. there is indoor and outdoor seating. it is pretty tiny inside though so it did feel a bit narrow and uncomfortable to get work done.“
“My GF and I were driving through Cherry Ave trying to get to a different michoacana place when she spotted 562 Cherry Cafe. We decided to take our chances and pop in here instead. After parking on street parking we went inside and the nice lady behind the counter was already ready for us. They had savory, sweets, and a whole lot of drink options. They even had fresh juices as well. I went with the diablito which was very large and satisfying. My GF went with their managonada. Both drinks were about $7 each but they were very large. We were both really happy. The lady that rung us up was also the same person who made our drinks. We probably waited about 5-10 minutes for her to make our drinks. We also grabbed some candy too on our way out. I want to come back to try their fresas con crema and other fruit items. The inside of this place is very causal and chill. There are few tables. We will be back.“
“I've been to this location several times, and it's not bad. I ordered an Everything bagel with veggie cream cheese this morning that was a bit disappointing. The (stick) bagel appeared to have only sesame & poppy seeds on it, I didn't see or taste any onion/garlic/salt, and the thin smear of cream cheese was a bit disappointing too, especially since the cream cream cheese was much more than the bagel (as expected). I'll have to try it again another time.I also had a boxed lunch from here recently, which is pretty good. I tried the chicken salad sandwich for the first time. I didn't care for the flavor. There were large chunks of water chestnuts (I think) that overpowered the chicken. I removed several of them after a couple of bites because there were just too many. (I forgot to take photos.) Overall, Grounds is a good spot to get breakfast items or lunch.“
“Cute little breakfast restaurant. You order upon arrival. Service was really nice and helpful with our menu questions. My group ordered the French toast stacker. It came with two fluffy pieces of French toast, scrabble eggs, and three pieces of bacon. It was delicious and filling.“
“This is truly a gem of a hole in the wall!! Almost literally, and I say that with respect and appreciation. This cute little eatery is easy to miss, being tucked in a very small strip mall (if it even qualifies as that!) between a small pharmacy and a laundromat, just south of the Arco on the corner of PCH and Pacific. But once you have eaten here, boy oh boy is it hard to forget!I come here about once every other week when I'm on a regular work schedule. Became hooked immediately with their unique bahn mi sandwiches and their pate chaud. Now I'm completely obsessed with their plant-based shrimp spring rolls and their grilled pork bun bowl. That bowl is the perfect balance of light and filling, flavorful and refreshing. It is one of my lunch go-to options. And the plant-based shrimp rolls are AMAZING. Obviously I'm not vegan, but this is an item that I enjoy so much despite it all.I have yet to try their pho. Maybe one of these days. They do have seating inside, but no restroom. Also, parking lot is small and shared, so I avoid coming during peak lunch hours, usually after 1 to pick up my food, and I've had no issues.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, flavorful too!Parking: Parking lot is pretty small and shared with a pharmacy, laundromat and discount store.“
