“The food is amazing. But what I like the most is the atmosphere. We decided to seat outside. Lovely cute chairs, quiet and breathy. Same deal for the inside. Food was tasty and portions very good in size. We got savory crepe - Crepe heaven special with egg, turkey and cheese. Very good balance of stuffing and crepe. The crepe itself is delicious. Not too dry or chewy. Sweet crepe was loaded with fruits, we’ve opted for condensed milk instead of Nutella. Two crepes to split between two people. We also got coffee and coffee was not bad. “1000% will be back! I was at the laundromat next door and ran over for a quick lunch while my clothes were in the dryer. The service was impeccable and quick, food was delicious, and portions were spot on. I had the breakfast bowl and an order of mini pancakes and will have enough for a second meal. You can tell it’s all made by hand and with love, fresh and hot. The restaurant was also clean and comfortable with plenty of street parking nearby. There is a laundromat next door too - so you could give yourself a little treat while your clothes are in the dryer.“

“A delicious made from scratch falafel in a great sandwich. Friendly staff. Since my first review I have returned and tried their Chicken and Cheese sandwich. Even better then the falafel sandwich! It is a chicken salad sandwich with lots of yummy chicken salad and Swiss cheese. I had their regular French fries 🍟 Very tasty. Again the staff was very friendly and helpful. “So my coworkers would always say how this place was soooo good and i have never heard of it or tried it before. I would always walk by it when working and think how great they would look at the window. Well today i was finally able to try the peach cobbler cheesecake and man.... It was delicious. The crust has so much flavor and the texture of the cheesecake isnt crazy dense like most. Its the perfect amount of density. Not only is the cheesecake great but the owner and his family story is heartwarming. Now if you love cheesecake as much as i do (i get a cheesecake every year for my birthday and Christmas) i recommend stopping by. He has alot of flavors to choose from.“

“So much to say… but ultimately, Colossus in Long Beach is WONDERFUL!! The BEST BLT I’ve ever had. Because they use high quality ingredients! Their Soft-Scrambled Egg Toast is divine. And everything is beautifully fresh. I love their country bread, baguettes, olive cumin bread, dinner rolls… but I have so much more to try Their pastries are scrumptious: Pecan Sticky Bun, Cardamom Bun, Kouign Amann, Financier, Marzipan Croissant, Sea Salt Brownie, OG Chocolate Chip Cookie. It’s all amazing and I’ve brought a number of friends to show off this incredible Belmont Shore Bakery. On Friday nights Colossus serves pizza into the night. Again, high-quality ingredients make their pizzas delicious. Plus they have interesting and unique combinations. They are tip free because their starting wage is $21/hr. Great customer service. Cute little space with some lovely specialty spice mixes, food items, merch, and wine. Indoor and outdoor seating, and they serve tasty coffees and teas. Colossus feels like a little bit of Europe on 2nd Street.“

The food was very good (sorry no pics) but I ordered the Wildflower Two’s (eggs over easy w/ham and potatoes (not greasy) and rosemary garlic toast. Our server Andrea was super nice! I was there for about 10 minutes talking with the barista and she was so nice and knowledgeable about their business. Let me try some of the cream soda which is A+ made in house child nostalgia. “This location can be a little confusing as it is next to a church, but they have a parking lot in back. They also have two dosages, one is like a lounge and the other is the actual restaurant
The service is wonderful and I even received a hug from the owner.
I had thecombo pho with brisket, beg round and tendon. It was so delicious. The broth was clean and not oily. A nice large bowl, almost overflowing. A really nice plate of veggies, including culantro.

My brother had the chicken porridge. It too came in a large bowl with a nice plate of veggies too.

Upon sitting you're served a nice large cup of iced jasmine tea. I also ordered the iced coffee with sweetened condensed milk. Delicious!

It's a small café, but everything they serve is top-tier culinary art — the sandwiches, coffee, and salads are absolutely delicious. And the soups… just wow! We tried the pumpkin and broccoli soups — both incredibly tasty and nourishing. My 7-year-old son usually won’t touch broccoli, but he loved their broccoli soup and ate it with great pleasure.

“Gum Tree Shop & Café is a small café and shop just a short walk from the Strand in Hermosa Beach. It’s been around for a while and feels very much like a local neighborhood spot.

Parking was easy right out front, which made the visit even more convenient. The café has outdoor seating, and you can sit with your coffee and feel the ocean air, with a steady flow of people and dogs passing by.

We ordered at the counter and had coffees, avocado toast with fruit, and a breakfast burrito. The food was fresh and straightforward, and the service was friendly and efficient.

The attached shop is a nice addition, with a thoughtful selection of home goods, cookbooks, and small gifts — an easy place to pick up something for a birthday or housewarming.

“I eat breakfast once a week on average. The staff is great, always pleasant, great customer service. The food is good, I always order the one 12 breakfast. Can sub potatoes for a salad if wanted. Only one complaint having to do with restaurant next door. While trying to enjoy my breakfast outdoors, next door is being mopped with Fabuloso cleaner. Totally ruined my breakfast. On another occasion I sat close to that area and a plastic dumpster with trash was being wheeled by me. Not the greatest atmosphere unfortunately.“
