“Lovely place. Unfortunately for us, we've been passing this restaurant by for years, as there is almost always a small crowd waiting outside for a table. However, today we took a chance, parked on the street near the restaurant & ventured inside. -- The decor is not fancy, but the atmosphere is friendly, light & inviting. And, the smells coming from the kitchen, as well as the custom coffee drinks was enticing.
-- Our waitress was very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, explained several dishes, answered questions we had about drinks, menu options, made solid recommendations, and easily took our orders. -- The drinks arrived fairly quickly, followed a few minutes later by our requested orders. Our meals were hot & freshly prepared as ordered (& had not been left sitting under warming lights.) The items we chose were very tasty, the fresh fruit cups were chilled & appeared to be prepped shortly before the meal was served. Very nice. Long before we had finished eating, we'd decided we would be returning to this hidden little gem on PCH to adventure further into the menu & sample some additional treats prepared by the chef & staff. And everything is beautifully fresh. I love their country bread, baguettes, olive cumin bread, dinner rolls… but I have so much more to try Their pastries are scrumptious: Pecan Sticky Bun, Cardamom Bun, Kouign Amann, Financier, Marzipan Croissant, Sea Salt Brownie, OG Chocolate Chip Cookie. It’s all amazing and I’ve brought a number of friends to show off this incredible Belmont Shore Bakery. On Friday nights Colossus serves pizza into the night. Again, high-quality ingredients make their pizzas delicious. Plus they have interesting and unique combinations. They are tip free because their starting wage is $21/hr. Great customer service. Cute little space with some lovely specialty spice mixes, food items, merch, and wine. Indoor and outdoor seating, and they serve tasty coffees and teas. Colossus feels like a little bit of Europe on 2nd Street.“

I was there for about 10 minutes talking with the barista and she was so nice and knowledgeable about their business. Let me try some of the cream soda which is A+ made in house child nostalgia. “There is a Latin guy with tattoos behind the counter is pretty rude. Couldn’t be bothered to greet me, this was my first time there he made me feel like I was annoying him!
He was tapping on the counter passive aggressively as I was trying to decide what to order ( there was no one behind me by the way!
The food was good so I may go back, but if I see that guy again I’m not going to bother ordering! No one should be treated that way!“

“We stumbled upon this little café by chance while driving from the airport — and what a hidden gem it turned out to be! I honestly envy the office workers who get to have this place nearby every day.

It's a small café, but everything they serve is top-tier culinary art — the sandwiches, coffee, and salads are absolutely delicious. And the soups… just wow! We tried the pumpkin and broccoli soups — both incredibly tasty and nourishing. My 7-year-old son usually won’t touch broccoli, but he loved their broccoli soup and ate it with great pleasure.

We've only been there a couple of times over the past year, but it’s definitely on our list for every future trip to Los Angeles. Can’t wait to come back!“

“Popped into the Belmont Shore location on a Friday about 7pm. Seated quickly, ambiance nice. Casual pickup side and a dining room.
Interesting menu. Checked out the anchovies on crostini- the sauce overwhelmed the anchovy. The bread basket was delightful albeit you must choose either focaccia or sourdough. Why not one slice of each? Wonderfully toasted (with olive oil) but made me wonder why it was toasted as one gets butter and olive oil to dip the bread in. The lamb pork belly skewers are small but delicious and great with the tzatziki sauce. The highlight was the Panzenella Salad. The soft cheese, fresh tomatoes, basil and crisp croutons were wonderful.
Service was a bit mixed. Why leave us with 2 menus and the drink menu with so little room on our tables. Please don’t take away dishes that still have even a morsel left with today’s prices. I will go back.“

Best coffee shop so far in Torrance area as far as I know. We've been enjoying Cafe Dolce since they opened. Enjoying cafe Cortado and my wife enjoys Highball Espresso. Every Sunday we enjoy Cafe Dolce.“
