The bagels absolutely rock. The pain au chocolat? WOW. But then came the turnover thing — excuse my complete failure to remember the proper name 😂 — and that may have stolen the show.

Fruitier than my best friend and flakier than my wife. 😂

Seriously though, everything we tried was fantastic. The pastries were beautifully laminated, crisp, buttery, and clearly made with some serious skill. The bread and bagels were every bit as good.

“Popped into the Belmont Shore location on a Friday about 7pm. Seated quickly, ambiance nice. Casual pickup side and a dining room.
Interesting menu. Checked out the anchovies on crostini- the sauce overwhelmed the anchovy. The bread basket was delightful albeit you must choose either focaccia or sourdough. Why not one slice of each? Wonderfully toasted (with olive oil) but made me wonder why it was toasted as one gets butter and olive oil to dip the bread in. The lamb pork belly skewers are small but delicious and great with the tzatziki sauce. The highlight was the Panzenella Salad. The soft cheese, fresh tomatoes, basil and crisp croutons were wonderful.
Service was a bit mixed. Why leave us with 2 menus and the drink menu with so little room on our tables. Please don’t take away dishes that still have even a morsel left with today’s prices. I will go back.“

“Friendly service, amazing baked goods! I was excited to bring my daughter (a vegan), but I had no idea how much I (an omnivore) would love these pastries! I'm not a big baked goods person, but OMG, everything we ordered was delicious!!! We got an Ube ensaymada, a pandan cinny bun, a crinkle cookie, and a pinapig salted chocolate chip cookie -- every one of our choices was incredible!!!

“Today I was pleasantly surprised with this Gem of a place. They have great attention to detail. The Biscuit Sandwich is a 10 out of 10. I’m usually partial to bacon but the flavor of the sausage they use reminds me the spice taste of McDonald’s patty but with better flavor. Thank you Nikkole for putting me on to this place. “Such a cute bakery tucked out of the way in between buildings <3 it has a huge selection of mexican baked goods as well as cakes and cookies. Literally a whole wall were you can load up a tray before sitting down for a cup of coffee or chocolate. The owner is very sweet and helpful she even offered me a cup of hot chocolate because I was wet and it was pourijg outside. The prices are very good, I purchased four or five pastries for less than 10$.“

“I was craving Mexican sweet bread and I stopped at this place. They have parking outside on a strip mall. It is a small market with lots of sweet bread options. When you enter the store, the bread is on your right hand side and they also have conchas that are stored separately from the main sweet bread sections. All of the bread was tasty and I would definitely return. They also have meat selection that I didn't buy this time. The service was fast and courteous.“

“I always come here to get my Bolillo! The bread maker in the back always making the best warm bolillo I had. I'm sure is the best in Long Beach. The cashiers are super friendly. The conchitas are really good specially when they just came out the oven. I highly recommend this bakery if you like Mexican pan dulce. I'm much happier after they put they shop near by.“

“Came here while attending a conference at the Westin, looking for interesting coffee… and they certainly have that here. They had two different coffees on drip and I chose one from Uganda - I think my first time I’ve had a coffee from there. It was quite good. They have coffees from like 12 different countries they roast themselves at another location in bags for purchase. Really nice spaces indoors and out. Definitely recommend.“
