“I first want to say the customer service was wonderful. They were out of the ham, cheese and jalapeño croissants but the person working there added as many jalapeños that I wanted to an existing ham and cheese croissant. They warmed it up for me and it was excellent. They are going to start selling tacos and burritos. I will be back to give them a try.“

“Porto’s is always a great spot for sweets, especially their birthday cakes, which are some of the best. The food is also very tasty, and I really enjoy their coffee because it’s always well made. The service is very attentive and friendly. The only downside is that it can get quite crowded, especially on weekends when the lines are long.“

The cookies themselves? Genuinely excellent. Big, warm, and packed with flavour — definitely lived up to the hype. I tried a couple of the weekly specials and would’ve gone back again if I’d had more time in Downey.

“I came down for the weekend from Bay Area to see family and found this lovely bakery. I have lived in some major food hubs but this is the best Olive Bread I have ever tasted!!! It was so fresh and they do not skimp on the olives like some bakeries. The staff was also quite welcoming. Please open a shop in the East Bay!!“

“I live two blocks away and this bakery has single-handedly destroyed my self-control in the BEST way possible. The brownie bites (pandan, strawberry, ube-Oreo) are life-changing. I buy a box thinking “I’ll save some for later” and then 45 minutes later they’re gone and I’m happier than I’ve ever been.
These brownies are pure joy. Serotonin in dessert form. When they closed for a week after the holidays, I experienced real emotional damage.
I would take a master class, but honestly it’s safer for society if I don’t learn because I would simply become a brownie.
Also the iced vanilla oatmeal cookie? Elite. Legendary. The bomb dot com.
11/10. Five stars. Would happily lose all control again.

“Food here is outstanding! We picked our food to go for an impromptu picnic at the park and enjoyed eveything. The carbonara was a knock out, very rich and decadent. All the pastries were yum, but the morning bun was our favorite. And the sandwiches are so well constructed with bread that was obviously baked fresh.
Only thing ill say is the patio is not good for large parties so if you intend to dine in, the seating there it ideal for parties of 2 or 4.“

“This LA bakery is a must-visit for anyone craving a delightful pastry experience. Despite the long wait for parking and entry (over 30 minutes), the staff was incredibly quick and friendly, managing to keep the crowd moving smoothly.
The bakery itself is a sight to behold, with its vast expanse of baked goods and an open kitchen that showcases their delectable creations. We indulged in a variety of items, including almond croissant, cinnamon croissant, chicken sandwich, eclair, cream cheese guava strudels, chicken croquettes, spinach puff pastry, biscuits, chicken empanadas, and wheat bread.
The biscuits were a standout, filled with gooey caramel and chocolate. The eclair was a melt-in-your-mouth masterpiece. Every bite was a blissful experience, thanks to the freshly baked, warm pastries.
While the chicken sandwich was a bit of a letdown compared to the other pastries, it was still enjoyable. Overall, this bakery offers an amazing experience and is definitely worth a visit.“

“Such a great find! The egg salad sandwich was very reasonably priced and tasted super fresh, honestly really good. We also tried one of their strawberry cakes and loved it. It wasn’t overly sweet at all, tasted incredibly fresh, and was loaded with strawberries. What really surprised me was the price, almost half of what you’d pay at Paris Baguette or Tous Les Jours for the same quality (if not better). All of the pastries tasted homemade, fresh, and perfectly balanced, not overly sugary. Definitely coming back!“

“Excuse me!! I think I found my new go to for coffee and sweets! I went last week to sample their yummy items and the only disappointment I had was that they were almost sold out of EVERYTHING!! “What a special place. We ordered a cinnamon roll cake for my son's 6th birthday and it was absolutely incredible. Ken worked on the cake and he was so kind and helpful. He let me know that they were out of bananas and asked if I wanted to replace them with chocolate chip banana bread. That banana bread was so soft, spongy, and delicious. This is our go-to place for desserts.“

reference photo that I gave her. The cake was also so good and moist and everyone at the party loved it. There was a little hiccup on our end where one of the letters got damaged in transport and Susy was able to replace it last minute before the party started. Overall a great experience and I would use her again if I need a cake in Long Beach.“

“I ordered my vegan birthday cake one week ahead of the date needed, and the cake was ready on time for pick up. This vegan baker is an artist, and working with her to design the cake was very easy, I let her lead the process and the cake was incredibly beautiful.
I don’t think I could have gotten a more beautiful cake even in Los Angeles City.
The cake was delicious, moist, flavorful and a decadent treat. The pickup was quick, and packed to perfection including a no slide patch in side the box so the decorations were not damaged in transport. Decor, a candle, matches, and a cutting knife were all included. The whole process was top notch professional. The attention to detail and presentation showed this bakers passion for her work. I feel that the price was 100% worth it, and competitive for the going rate. The party was awed by the cake, so money well spent. I will definitely be ordering again! Too bad I didn’t get a photo before we cut the cake!
I almost forgot to mention that when the cake was served, the room fell silent because everyone was taken away with how yummy the cake was.“
