“It is clean. Employees are friendly, helpful and courteous. The baked goods champurado and tamales are good. I'll probably get tamales for the weekend. The tamales are a little pricey. But, it's a good product. I keep going for more. The breads are very good and reasonably priced.
There's no seating.“

So my box of 4 cookies $19 was brownie batter, not bad, could use some nuts walnuts, or pecans, . My favorite cookie chocolate chip also could use some nuts walnuts or pecans and cooked a little longer. Next was funnel cake. Kind of like that one crunchy, not sure if it really tasted like funnel cake, but I liked it. Then cake batter thins not too bad either.“

“Gluten free pastries are hard to find, delicious pastries are harder to find but Cakegirl has successfully turned GF pastries a joy to enjoy. The cookies are so soft and flavorful. The chocolate donut although not fluffy and airy like what one would expect it’s more like an old fashion style donut, it’s soft and moist and most importantly chocolaty.“

Even though there was a line, it moved so fast & with so many great & friendly employees, ordering went very quickly. We found a table on the patio & the employees there were also very friendly & helpful. Food was delivered to us, exceptional, especially the potato balls. Sandwich on a croissant also delicious!!! “Super delicious croissants. They rotate items very often last time I got the spinach salmon croissant it was super delicious. Today they do not have that croissant they have some other stuff, so if you see something that you like, get it, get two because next time it may not be available. The almond croissant was super filling. Usually pastry items are just like bite into air and I got hungry very soon. Not this little bakery everything tastes legit. Got the almond croissant ate it in the car at 9:00 something in the morning and wasn't hungry until 4:00 p.m. get there early because the parking is small and croissants sold out fast“

“If this is not the best banh mi in all of Sgv and Oc, I don’t know of any place that can beat them. All cash by the way so come prepared. Their dac biet is the perfect sandwich and their daikon and carrots are light and bouncy with fresh jalapeno with the right amount of pate and butter. They have it down to perfection, nothing less. Had an open house and served it for homebuyers and they were blown away! Highly recommend! Cafe sua da is gold too, loved the shaved ice in the coffee and not too sweet. The ladies in the back are super sweet and you can buy the baguettes and freeze them, then 350 f for 6 mins in toaster or airfryer. Get the egg rolls, and pa te so is good too. My clients loved their vegetarian banh mi too!

Vegetarian options: Just get he vegetarian banh mi! Only vegetarian thing to get or just plain baguettes! It will be worth it!“

“I’m not gluten free but have it fairly often as my wife is gluten free, and there are some things that are just so good you don’t even think about whether it’s gluten free or not. The owner is very nice, as are the employees making it a fun experience every time we go. I recommend the flourless chocolate cake for chocolate lovers.“

“This place came to the rescue!!! The wedding cake I had made fell over on the long drive. It was a disaster!! Other bakeries near the wedding venue were already closed and others needed at least 48 hour notice… the wedding was happening NOW. I called Sonora Bakery in my final desperate attempt, explained the situation, sent them a picture of the cake and within minutes, they got to work. The cake was delicious and the wedding was saved. Thank you Sonora Bakery…. You have a customer for life!“

“As someone who grew up having Starbread in NorCal, seeing them finally down here in SoCal honestly made me so happy 😭 The señorita bread tasted just as good as I remembered too. Warm, buttery, fluffy, and dangerously addicting. That sweet buttery coating on the outside is seriously unmatched.

The green chile burrito was bomb , great flavor , not too spicy it was the perfect heat. The pan dulce. Winner as well.“

I’ve had pan Dulce from soooo many different places but the BEST is here (tasty, soft, fresh) … not to mention the cleanliness of the shop. Definitely 5 stars!!! Parking can be a bit challenging but people go in and out so you will not be waiting too long and don’t forget to bring cash - cash only. Will definitely come back!!“
