“I had the best experience here at melrose bakery. I was searching online for Italian bread for sandwiches and found this gem. Nancy was super helpful, I ended up leaving with 2 giant loafs of sourdough bread. All for $5! I originally wanted rolls but those need to be ordered ahead of time. They are a wholesale store and open to the public. I followed the exact instructions on the reviews to find this place. Awesome place!“

“It is clean. Employees are friendly, helpful and courteous. The baked goods champurado and tamales are good. I'll probably get tamales for the weekend. The tamales are a little pricey. But, it's a good product. I keep going for more. The breads are very good and reasonably priced.
There's no seating.“

It wasn’t overly sweet at all, tasted incredibly fresh, and was loaded with strawberries. What really surprised me was the price, almost half of what you’d pay at Paris Baguette or Tous Les Jours for the same quality (if not better). “If this is not the best banh mi in all of Sgv and Oc, I don’t know of any place that can beat them. All cash by the way so come prepared. Their dac biet is the perfect sandwich and their daikon and carrots are light and bouncy with fresh jalapeno with the right amount of pate and butter. They have it down to perfection, nothing less. Had an open house and served it for homebuyers and they were blown away! Highly recommend! Cafe sua da is gold too, loved the shaved ice in the coffee and not too sweet. The ladies in the back are super sweet and you can buy the baguettes and freeze them, then 350 f for 6 mins in toaster or airfryer. Get the egg rolls, and pa te so is good too. My clients loved their vegetarian banh mi too!

Vegetarian options: Just get he vegetarian banh mi! Only vegetarian thing to get or just plain baguettes! It will be worth it!“

Carrot cake cupcake had a strange flavor and was dry; cinnamon roll was also on the drier side. Chocolate cake was good, much better heated up! Would go back to try other things.“

“This place came to the rescue!!! The wedding cake I had made fell over on the long drive. It was a disaster!! Other bakeries near the wedding venue were already closed and others needed at least 48 hour notice… the wedding was happening NOW. I called Sonora Bakery in my final desperate attempt, explained the situation, sent them a picture of the cake and within minutes, they got to work. The cake was delicious and the wedding was saved. Thank you Sonora Bakery…. You have a customer for life!“

We got a crème brule, a carrot cake, a macaroon and two iced teas. The iced teas are made fresh and then put over ice. They were very good. My gf got a passion fruit one and I got got mint.
