“The donuts here are always so fresh, light and fluffy, and not overpoweringly sweet. The Thai tea also has no business being thisss good! It's unexpected from a donut shop, I know, but you can really taste the tea and it's creamy and delicious. I've been coming here for a while and keep coming back because it's consistently good. “This was my first time going to a Tropicana, and now I am wondering why I hadn't gone sooner. The food was so good. I recommend the crossaint sandwich with chorizo. The coffee was excellent, it comes with a little biscotti and it's so good. I wish it came with more biscottis. It was just the right texture and tasted amazing. I will definitely go back. Just remember to leave room for the pastries. They all look delicious. I ended up buying four desserts to go, and they were all tasty.Vegetarian options: I saw on the menu that they have vegetarian options, they are marked with a V.Parking: I did not have a hard time finding parking. I parked right in the front of the restaurant and my sister parked in their parking lot.Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu.“

We had the machaca burrito, birria burrito, birria sandwich (bolillo), a birria empanada, and two drinks - strawberry hibiscus and strawberry horchata.As far as the drinks, my fave was the strawberry hibiscus - not too sweet, not too bitter, just perfect. The strawberry horchata was too sweet and too cinnamony for me. My husband loved it tho. My teen loved the empanada - those are her fave. The burritos are very well made, not skimpy at all. My teen couldn't finish her birria sandwich (bolillo).We will be back!“
“This is a great family owned bakery here in Downey. I have stopped here several times on different days and they are usually busy but quick, easy service. Their tamales are wonderful, along with their pan dulce, bolillos, and champurrado is so good. I love supporting locally owned businesses and this is one of them!“

“I've gotten a bacon egg and cheese bagel sandwich and coffee from here a couple times now, and it always hits the spot. This time around I got an Ube latte that I will dream about tonight. It seems like a Vietnamese coffee base with a dalgona-style ube whip that sweetens the coffee. Service is always nice and simple. Sometimes there's a wait for your order if it's crowded, but it's definitely worth the wait.“
“I work around this area and I stop by this place quite often. The lady here is super awesome! I like anything with cinnamon and their cinnamon buns are delicious. My partner likes the blueberry croissants and lately I have been getting the ham and cheese and jalapeno. One of the few places where they still trow and extra donut or donut holes for free.“
