“This is a great place to get fresh and tasty bagels. They always have a great selection of flavors and the staff is friendly.

“I came here right before closing (annoying, I know) looking for a chocolate bar I saw online called The Conscious Bar. Came for the chocolate, stayed for the story. I asked the owner too many questions about the shop and she patiently answered all of them explaining her vision is more than just to run a successful cafe but also to be a light in this community. I'll be coming back to try all the patries. It was very clean and comfortable inside too. Like an Oasis in the wilderness that is Valley View and Rosecrans.

UPDATE: I got the bottled honey oat latte and that was really good. Being lactose intolerant, it was nice to have something dairy free ready to grab and go instead of having to special-order it.

Also tried the blueberry cream cheese Cruffin. This is refrigerated because of the cream cheese I think. Cold croissants aren't usually that good, but this was light enough to enjoy cold and it has already been devoured, would get it again, but probably better with a hot drink. I bought a few more of the Conscious Bar chocolate bars.“

“My family have been getting sausage egg and cheese croissant sandwiches and don’t for over 20 years. The flour is what makes their donuts so yummy. Try another donut shop and you’ll see what I mean. They use more expensive ingredients which makes their donuts so good. A lot of customers don’t like the prices, but you get what you pay for and AK’s donuts is the best around and so is their coffee.“

Everything was still good but miss the extended baked goods. And parking is still bad... “My first time there wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Upon going in they had a nice little crowd, the staff was nice and helpful. So my box of 4 cookies $19 was brownie batter, not bad, could use some nuts walnuts, or pecans, . My favorite cookie chocolate chip also could use some nuts walnuts or pecans and cooked a little longer. Next was funnel cake. Kind of like that one crunchy, not sure if it really tasted like funnel cake, but I liked it. Then cake batter thins not too bad either.“

I found this fabulous bakery and selected them, as I loved their story l, plus they have a 5 star rating. They were so amazing to work with and did exactly what they promised. They followed up quickly and even had it delivered to the hotel along with information and pictures on who they left it with for her birthday. “Went there for the first time with three friends on a Saturday at noon. Sure, finding parking was a bit rough, but with people leaving with to go orders we found a great spot pretty quickly. Even though there was a line, it moved so fast & with so many great & friendly employees, ordering went very quickly. We found a table on the patio & the employees there were also very friendly & helpful. Food was delivered to us, exceptional, especially the potato balls. Sandwich on a croissant also delicious!!! Took a chocolate croissant home & thet was also so yummy!!! I can't wait to go back again & again. Thank you for such a great experience!!!!“

“If this is not the best banh mi in all of Sgv and Oc, I don’t know of any place that can beat them. All cash by the way so come prepared. Their dac biet is the perfect sandwich and their daikon and carrots are light and bouncy with fresh jalapeno with the right amount of pate and butter. They have it down to perfection, nothing less. Had an open house and served it for homebuyers and they were blown away! Highly recommend! Cafe sua da is gold too, loved the shaved ice in the coffee and not too sweet. The ladies in the back are super sweet and you can buy the baguettes and freeze them, then 350 f for 6 mins in toaster or airfryer. Get the egg rolls, and pa te so is good too. My clients loved their vegetarian banh mi too!

Vegetarian options: Just get he vegetarian banh mi! Only vegetarian thing to get or just plain baguettes! It will be worth it!“

“-Study and work here every now and then on weekdays. Wifi not bad, 12ish seats inside, chargers included, open relatively late 10pm.
-Atmosphere is great, good hospitality even when there is mistake I notice the owner and other workers are aware of themselves and have a good attitude.
-Not too much of a coffee critic so with a medium grain of salt coffee ain't bad, have not had any issues.
-Karaoke and arts of music events in the back have happened every night I've been here and it creates a nice music community in downtown Fullerton.
-Would recommend for casual work and hangout in downtown, nice main piece of Downtown Fullerton coffee shops.“

“Butter Lab is a gem!!!! The desserts here are excellent. I ordered an assortment of crinkle cookies, Ube tres leches, pandan Basque cheesecake and a coffee. Staff was friendly and gave great recommendations. I can't wait to come back. My new fave spot in the SGV for desserts hands down!“

“This place is truly a gem, the quality in these desserts is incredible. The only complaint my family has is the portion size. The cake should all be cut to fit the size of the container as this is standard at any bakery that sells tres leches. If not the whole container at least keep a consistent size, we have bought multiple times in the past 3 months and plenty for our family and neighbors to try the different flavors of cakes and desserts and this is the one thing that stood out.

Not to mention, the desserts are definitely overpriced in general/vs the local competition in Downey. Portos and Tropicana have a wider recognition in the city and a large clientele and their prices are lower across the menu. You can get a trio which is a huge slice of cheesecake/tres leches/flan for under $6 and here at Papa Churros a slice of either is $6. If people will support Papa Churros due to quality and taste at least give the customers their moneys worth.

As I stated the quality is great, they definitely have a good baker making some great products from scratch back there. I highly recommend but try to get a slice of something in person vs ordering online for pickup or delivery.“

One last hint, right after turning at the handwritten sign, drive on thru all the way to the back. It is the last commercial building at the end. Don’t stop until you see the Melrose deliveries trunks 😉“

“I stopped by Star Bread in Anaheim specifically to try their famous Senorita Bread after seeing it all over an Instagram reel, and it definitely lived up to the warm hype!
You get a bag of 5 for $4, which is a fantastic deal. They serve them to you piping hot, making the bread incredibly soft and pillowy. Flavor-wise, they are pretty good—sweet, slightly buttery, with a hint of cream cheese and a caramelized sugar texture. While I wouldn't say they are absolutely life-changing, eating them fresh and hot right out of the bag makes them a delicious treat.
I also tried the Ube Donut, which was really good and had a great flavor profile.
A few practical perks:

🍔 Location: The complex has quite a few other food spots around it, making it a great little strip to grab a bite or a quick dessert.

I arrived right at closing time on Saturday afternoon, but Denise was so kind and despite the time, she helped me out by decorating a cake for my girlfriend's birthday. Denise and the staff were so friendly and really went out of their way to provide excellent customer service. The cake, cupcakes, and cookies were so tasty and fresh.
