We were told that this was a Korean donut place but I guess that's mostly because it's Korean owned. I didn't really notice any taste difference between donuts here and those I've eaten elsewhere. The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. It's a small store in a strip mall. Parking is close and up front. Lots of seating inside.“

“Last minute search for a breakfast/brunch type spot and found Marin Cafe. It's located in an area off of Rosmead that shares a small parking lot with Zapien's Salsa Grill. It is a small lot but there's parking on the other side. I went while it was raining in the morning around 9 so it was pretty empty. The cafe is a small shop with 3 four-seater tables so not good for huge groups. But the decor was really cute and cozy. A mix of cafe and small bakery. Love the painted walls with the cake and bakery items painted on. There was a large display case of various bakery good from conchas, to croissants, to cakes and cake slices. Everything looked so good. Brisa (I hope I didn't spell her name incorrectly, apologies!) was our barista and she was lovely. Very friendly and let us take our time, she answered my bf's questions about the food. We chatted here and there and then placed our orders with her. She kept us updated on our food as they made the wrong sandwich for me and needed to remake it which was no problem and appreciated. The food was delicious! We ordered a concha, with an Abuelita hot latte, a mocha hot latte, breakfast burrito and breakfast sandwich. Recommend the Abuelita hot latte for sure, perfect on a rainy cold day. The chocolatey spice from the Abuelita was so good with the espresso, the mocha was great as well great blend of chocolate and coffee. Now the breakfast sandwich was bomb, presentation and taste were great. Eggs were hot and fluffy, bacon crispy, with ham, and refreshing tomato avocado and lettuce with a honey mustard type sauce. It also came with a side of potato salad, pickles and banana peppers. The potato salad is EXACTLY how I like it, not mayonnaise-y and sweet. Brekfast burrito was nice and filling too, bf said he'd definitely add bacon next time as mine was crispy in my sandwich hash browns were crispy and the creamy lime cilantro sauce was so good with it. I also ordered a slice of the mocha tres leches cake...so good not overly sweet and mocha wasn't too strong. The cake was overly saturated with milk which I would've like but it had the right amount of moistness so not to make it soggy. All in all definitely reccomend this little gem of a cafe. Owners and staff are all friendly and the food and drinknwere fantastic. Definitely coming back for more cake!“

There's no where else you need to go. The fresh bread is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. When you order, you can choose from the football shape or the baguette shaped bread. Scratch pate, cold cuts, daikon, carrots, cilantro, and thinly shaved jalapeños. Service is straightforward and fast! Corner store vibes but Vietnamese :) Parking is also plentiful. The yelp reviews were amazing so OF COURSE i had to check it out. It's 3 minutes down the street, so we got there quick. At first I was leery because there was a homeless guy standing outside but he was actually very sweet, opening the door to everyone and letting them in and not asking for anything. That was so kind. The inside of the store was neat and everything was well organized. All of their pan dulces looked so good it was very hard to pick. But we got 2 chocolate conchae, a pink concha, a pink cookie, a guava empanada thing, and a strawberry & cream filled pastry. The service was quick and they were very polite and helpful. They also have cakes and they looked beautiful! The pan was so moist and soft and fluffy. I personally like when my con has have little cinnamon bits inside but these didn't but They were still great, I loved that the chocolate concha actually tasted like chocolate on top and not just brown colored sugar. I will definitely be returning to give their other flavors and variety of breads a try. Also, they had flan that looked so good! I've got to try it. Parking was easy since it's a decent size lot, and it is cash only so come prepared. Each pan was under $2 depending on which one you got prices varied between $1 to $2. But they're well worth the price.“

They have every imaginable size of boxes, and individual cake tips, which is way more convenient than the sampler packages. Their cake pans and high quality Fat Daddio pans are WAY CHEAPER THAN AMAZON. I got a 6"x3" fat Daddio cake pan for 8.49 and they were 10.99 each on Amazon the last time I checked. They have pre-made cupcakes, buttercream frosting, simple syrup, and many different types of dyes and sprinkles. I only wish they had some more sustainable options, such as silicone cup cake liners, but otherwise, a very solid bake supply store.“
