“Ordered the Katsu Butter Chicken and Spam Brûlée Musubi through UberEATS for delivery around 2 P.M on a Weekday. Food was delivered quickly and hot. They packaged it neatly and provided some napkins and utensils as well! Great service although I can’t speak for the atmosphere.Would definitely recommend the musubi for anyone who likes sweet and salty combinations! The katsu is okay but was a little too oily for me.“
“We came for lunch to avoid the dinner rush. It was perfect timing. We're also vegetarian so we tried several of their vegan/vegetarian options. They have an extensive menu and tons of options. Everything was delicious. The service was amazing. Our waiter was helpful and friendly. Our favorite were the scallion pancakes and the ramen. It was a bit spicy for us, even though we asked for mild, but it was so delicious. Portions are huge. We took half home, but we're excited to have leftovers.“
“The food was Soo good. The place felt like we were eating at someone's home but the food was top restaurant quality. We'll definitely be back. We got the bacon appetizer and my husband got the tri tip and eggs and I got the sticky ribs. Definitely recommend.“
“Food is great! My first experience here was 4th of july 2023. I knew they would be busy, so i called hours ahead for my pick up order and when i got there it wasn't ready because my ticket was buried under other orders and was missed. So i had to wait additional time for my food, per why i ordered ahead. Smdh. And my portions was small!!Second time around, i wanted to try chicken but they were out. The guy that took my order seemed like he didnt want to be there, no smile, no greeting, just no customer service skills what so ever. Food came out fast, bigger portions this time. Just dont know why both times bbq sauce was in my greens, i dont like that.“
“Food: 5/5 highly recommend, their combo is very good. Great portion and price. They also have lunch menu, which comes with a side of your choosing. Service: 5/5 very welcoming. Ambiance: 5/5 they have a couple tables for dine in. But, most of the time people would order takeout or call in for a pick up.“
“Good small family owned spot. The staff is super friendly and helpful if you have questions. Theresa helped us and was knowledgeable about the menu and made good suggestions. I see her help others make selections as well. Not only was she helpful but had a mailed for everyone that came through the door. The BBQ smells delicious but we went for a cold sandwich. Next time will definitely try the BBQ. We got The Guido which is a fully loaded Italian sandwich with Ham, Mortadella and Soppressata . It's everything you look for in an Italian sandwich, the meat is quality and the ham has a nice smokiness. The bread is super fresh and soft and fluffy. The acidity from the dressing cut the fatty delicious nature of the cured meats perfectly. They have a good selection of soda's that are made with real can sugar which is nice. They have a small patio out front that is dog friendly. Definitely will be back for both the food and the great service.“
“Nice little location in the food court, I ordered the bulgogi rice bowl, and it was really good! A little pricey but they do give plenty of food, you won't leave hungry! Will come again when I'm in the area and try something else.“
“I have been *quite* delinquent at keeping up with converting review drafts to actual reviews - but I feel especially bad seeing this one un-posted still, given it was just in the local news last week, they're putting their popup on temporary-but-indefinite pause because it wasn't getting enough business... hopefully they do reopen, ideally in a proper space, because their bbq is *great*. I hadn't ever been to their now-closed official popup location, but after having heard how great they were for the previous year, I finally had a chance to try them over the summer, at the Beachwood anniversary event. I loved that I was able to buy meat in quarter-pound increments, so I could try two of my favorite bbq meats, brisket and pulled pork. The pulled pork was great; the brisket was probably the best brisket I've had from a bbq place in Long Beach (it's still not Franklin, but *nothing* is Franklin). I also tried their mac & cheese - they only had one size, for $8, but that size was *large*. The mac & cheese was also great. Seriously friendly people, too, so I really hope they succeed in their quest for a brick-and-mortar spot. (And that the quality is as good once they do, both so I don't have to give them a worse review later, and because I would like to have that brisket again! And because they're great people and they deserve to succeed, of course.)“
“First Time visitor of this restaurantIt's not a sit down, per se, but a walk up and order then they bring it ro you. The being of San Diego is decent and the food was very good. We had the gumbo and jumbelya. For a quick bite this place was good.“
“I had high expectations from the pictures and reviews, but they were still blown away after my first experience eating at Lacquered. I brought my family to dine-in on Easter Sunday and they had a blast drawing on the placemats and trying all of the popular fish and chicken dishes. Scott was also a blast and was a great host. He made sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond for our first time there. We tried the five-piece fried chicken plate, 2 piece tenders with fries, fish and chips, chicken salad, and mac and cheese. We recommend each one of these plates and we will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu.“
“Excellent place and location. I grew up around here, did educated training near here, gained assistance during my homeless time on the streets, gain many gay and lesbian locations, events, housing and support groups. The food we all eat together here, has to be from this local amazing restaurant and excellent service.“
“Best ribs, amazing corn bread. Sometimes they are understaff and or just busy. Came on a Thursday last week took a short bit to be seated but as served almost right away. Love the staff. The issue I have here is they are open from mon-Fri they are only open from 4pm-9pm which is very short and on weekends from 12pm-9pm and or 10pm. Now it's hard for some people to eat here because of the timing. Some people have to work on weekends which is difficult to come eat here since for some it's far and by the time you get there it could be busy and or be to late in the day to even want to go out and eat.I know it's a cost/dinner thing but I would like to see the place open more since I'm one of the few who works on weekends and has one day off.Secondly is parking. The lot is very small maybe 18 spots but probably less I didn't count. Other than that a great place to eat!Parking: Secondly is parking. The lot is very small maybe 18 spots but probably less I didn't count.“
“I'm surprised this place does not have a line out the door. This place is great. It's called smoked meats (forgive me if I'm a novice and don't know better) but should just be advertised as BBQ. I will be back. For all those who have not been, you are missing out.“
“EXCELLENT!!. I had Gumbo Fries which was full of chicken, shrimp and sausage and the file/sauce was Flavorful and was soo good. My Friend had the Catfish basket which was cooked to perfection and cobbler. We/I will definitely be back. Great location for family and alone time. Most of all the service was WONDERFUL and everyone including the cook/chef made us feel Welcomed and took the time to talk to us and made sure we were satisfied. Do yourself a favor and try it yourself.“
“I really like this joint. Such great hours and impressive variety. People are nice here and it's got a cheery atmosphere. You can totally get down and show off here. When I go here, I like to show off. I like to be myself. I like to be different. I like when other people are different too. I like when people enjoy laughing. I like when we smile at ourselves and others.“
“This place serves very delicious bbq food, a variety of meats beef and pork, and even turkey breasts have good flavors. I didn't give it a 5⭐️ because I had to pre-order the dino ribs a day in advance. They also open at 7am for their break fast menu. I didn't get to take a picture of the food because food was too good and forgot.“
“Everything was so good - definitely ordering again. We got the keto grilled cheese burger (it came on special low-carb bread)... and appetizers and other entrees. The buffalo/bbq mac and cheese sounded kinda weird but was so good. The garlic parm mac equally as good. The tots were perfect friend, and the sauce comes on the side so you can pour it on yourself. We also got a few normal burgers, and a veggie burger. Whole family loved our restaurant pick!“
“Outside seating. One 2 person table inside. Probably best for takeout.Beef ribs were fantastic. BBQ sauce on the side, (spicy is the bomb)which I love just so you can taste the rub before you taste the sauce.Rib tips were soft and yummy.Baked Beans were perfect and the Greens are simply delicious.Old school BBQ joint!!!!“
“Possibly the best overall BBQ plate I’ve ever had. I had the gentleman who took my order choose for me and he chose wisely. Got the brisket and ribs lunch plate with Mac & cheese and baked beans. The meats and beans were great, but the Mac & cheese was the biggest surprise. Super flavorful, cheesy, and creamy. Also, BBQ can get expensive. I found the prices here to be very reasonable!I’ll definitely be back again.“
“Me and my 2 15yr old granddaughters we had a great time one of them ordered a piece of chicken that looked a little pink on the inside so I told her to not eat anymore of it called our waiter and he also stated it looked pink to but said let me get my supervisor and she asked did my baby want another piece of chicken and she also gave a us a very generous portion of our bill off so that was a very decent gesture overall the food was delicious I would definitely go back againParking: They will validate parking for you I feel like they would save you a couple of dollars off valet parking if it wasn’t for valet parking I would’ve had to walk a long way from available parking to the restaurant overall the total for valet was reasonable“
“Service was outstanding! My friends got a high top for happy hour...but didnt realize I was bringing my mom who can't sit at a high top. The server must have overheard us and sat us at regular table near by. He was quick, funny and so nice. My friends always tell me how great Lucilles happy hour is but after our experience, it may be my favorite!Great place to hang out before a movie. Ample parking. Food and drinks ? but the service? Chefs kiss!“
“TopNotch Thai Original BBQ strate frm 3rdSt Intl acclaim. I stumbled into their new location along my way & I was delited to find it. Don't miss out!ps: all I could suggest is to expand menu items to other authentic dishes (musuman, satay, desserts, etc) but bbq is their shining glory.“
“This was my first time and the food was delicious. I had the pork chops with gravy over rice, yams and greens. The pork chops was tender and the gravy was finger licking good. my sister had the gumbo and it was good. Not too spicy. Even the home made lemonade was good. I will definitely be back and bring my friends. The owner was very friendly and nice.“
“Louisiana Charlie’s is an order first type restaurant where you pay and order your food at the register before being seated. There is indoor and outdoor waterfront seating. It gets extremely crowded during the weekend and they do not accept reservations. The prices ate extremely reasonable especially for the seafood boils and they have lunch specials. The food looks amazing I always want to try everything that I see at other tables. I’ve tried the shrimp Po boy and oyster Po boy. Both were fried and seasoned perfectly. The Cajun fries are thoroughly seasoned and the Cajun spices are delicious. The shrimp & grits are also really good, especially the roux. The cornbread is great too. I look forward to coming back to try different menu items. The staff are all friendly with good vibes. There is a paid parking lot that the restaurant will validate.“
“This review is for the day of March 11, 2024.I will add and update this review for future visits and experiences.Today our server was Alex. What a server! Helpful, pleasant attitude, and on the ball with it all.Having taken a nap, I came in with a pleasant attitude, though I was a bit hungry. My family had been in first, and ordered and had begun eating. We had ordered the Family Supper for $139.99 and the kids enjoyed a burger and a grilled cheese. The ribs tasted just right, as I had commented to Alex. Some other instances in the past, the ribs have missed their mark in being good.Food was tasting great. The thing that capped it all off was being here to celebrate my son's birthday and my daughter's artwork winning first place in an art exhibit.I cannot speak for the other servers for today, but I would encourage any customer that comes in, to ask for Alex. He will take care of you and make sure your dining experience is a good one.Oh, and do not forget to tip Alex --or any server you get-- appropriately and properly.Parking: Parking can be a difficult issue at peak times. There is a multiplex movie theater than can draw in quite the crowd, thereby making nearby parking scarce.Wheelchair accessibility: With me not using a wheelchair, I cannot comment on all aspects of their accessibility. They do have a ramp out front to give access into the front of the restaurant. There is a restroom stall that is wheelchair accessible. The difficulties may arise when trying to navigate a wheelchair around or through the bar area to get to that restroom.“
“I found this spot by accident and did not regret coming here. I ordered half boudin balls, 2 piece southern fried chicken, and build your own bowel Mac & Cheese. It was so good the fried chicken is so light and crispy. I highly recommend if you’re looking for something different, Enjoy!“
“First time coming here with my two daughters. Young lady in the front gave us suggestions on what to try. She was very friendly and attentive. The price of the meals are reasonable and the servings are a nice size, we were able to take some home with us. My youngest daughter and I got the 8 pc wing dinners with Cajun fries, I also added Mac and cheese cornbread and greens for an additional charge. The Mac was mid but the greens were delicious, could’ve drained them a little more as they had the excess juice but very flavorful. The wings were delicious. I got the Chilli pepper sauce. The cornbread was not good, it was bland. My oldest daughter ordered the baby back rib dinner with Mac n cheese and baked beans. She said everything was good except the Mac. Parking is very limited. We found a spot across the street so we had to use the crosswalk. The restaurant is pretty small but cozy. I would return again if I’m ever in the area.“
“This was a most delightful late lunch here today in great part due to the exceptionally hospitable and knowledgeable staff. The restaurant's interior is traditionally regal and cozy however we opted to eat in their spacious outside eating area on this beautiful afternoon. No regality was lost by being outside for we were in the care of Gilberto, our wonderful principle waiter. He understood our every need and pampered us like one seldom encounters in Long Beach. We began with an Old Sicilian cocktail. It's probably fortunate the photo didn't come out else I'd be shamelessly punning the caption, but most importantly it was delicious with quite a punch. The crab cake appetizer, also delicious, was followed by the best hamburger that I've ever had and that includes any produced from my kitchen (I consider that to be the highest praise). Bf gave me a taste and there is no question that I will be ordering this next time. For a special treat, Gilberto presented us with a beautiful crème brûlée. When requiring a flawless dining experience, this is perfection, They are Masters of their craft.“
