“The customer service is commendable, and the visuals of the food are impressive; however, I likely would not return for the food itself. It seems they rely heavily on rubs rather than a variety of seasonings, resulting in a lack of flavor. On the positive side, the charring on the meat is quite well done. The establishment is very clean, and the portion sizes are generous, ensuring you will leave feeling full. While the taste could benefit from additional flavor, I would recommend it to others primarily for its presentation. Personally, I would not revisit, but it is worth noting that this is a commendable black-owned business.“

As well as all the female cashiers were as equally kind and pleasant. The only thing I was disappointed with was the portions of my food I felt they were a little small for what I paid for.“

“From the east coast of Buckroe Beach, Virginia to Compton, California, we stopped through Rena’s BBQ soul food spot in Compton and I got to say the food was very delicious especially the greens. When my family and I left we were full and satisfied. You get plenty food for the money. If you stop the LA area give them a try. Thanks again fellas for the hospitality. We will be back!“

“The brisket was amazing! When I get brisket at other places it's dry and not flavorful. Here, it was perfection. The Mac n cheese, beans, and potato salad were all delicious. You can really tell that they put a lot of thought into their recipes, and you can taste the quality. My only ask is that they add baby back ribs to their menu!“

“We went for the first time today and boy was it delicious! I had the brisket bowl my husband had the 405 sandwich and we shared the brisket loaded fries, it was all delicious there was nothing left! Cudos to the person that is smoking the meats in Artesia location and the staff😊“

“Been meaning to hit this place, but always pass them up. Glad I stopped by, they got some good eats here. Tried the Vamipro with bistec and potato. Nice and crispy hand made tortilla. Potatos were healthy cut pieces and soft. Also had the Guisado sampler and man they are not shy with the servings. I definitely recommend the sampler plate if you are wanting to try the different options of guisados. For this location early is better as they do sell out of items on the early side. They also have restaurant where you can get there goods as well.“

“It just has that KBBQ vibe. The servers are so friendly and super accommodating. They suggest, recommend, and chat you up. Super cozy.

As for the food, get the signature dish: gobchang (intestines). For a medium, you get to choose three of the four choices: abomasum (stomach), tripe, large intestines, and small intestines. Additionally, you get side dishes, a choice of a stew (kimchi or fermented soybean), corn cheese, steamed egg, and salad. They cook the intestines for you before bringing it out to your table, so that it says warm as you eat. They stir fry the intestines with potato slices, onions, garlic and mushrooms. They really do 곱창 right. We also ordered the beef tartare, since they had posters of it around the restaurant. The beef tartare is definitely in the top 3 of the ones I've tried around OC, NY, and SD. The cuts are thicker than normal and the seasoning is perfect. They don't include a lot of ingredients like other places do, but it just hits better.

It's within a plaza, so there is plenty of parking around the restaurant. This place has become one of my go-tos for gopchang. A++!“

I had Sticky Bones again tonight and I'm as thrilled as the first time I tried them and all the other times I've had them and in fact I feel like tonight's were the best ever. I seriously enjoy their food and hospitality. The hardest part is driving back to Cal Heights without opening the box and start eating. “I visited this restaurant with my date for dinner, and we were welcomed with a pleasant attitude and seated immediately. The atmosphere was nice and inviting. We were fortunate that there weren’t many guests that evening, which made the experience very peaceful and enjoyable.

We started with two Asahi beers while deciding what to order. We chose the A5 Wagyu Set, which included tongue, ribeye, short rib, chuck flap, and tenderloin. The set also came with a salad, kimchi, and bean sprouts, and we ordered a few bowls of rice on the side.

Our server was very friendly and even gave us helpful tips on which cuts of meat to start with. Although there was a button at the table to call for service, she would occasionally check in on us to see if we needed anything or were enjoying our meal, which we truly appreciated.

All of the meats were phenomenal, and the portion size was very satisfying for both of us. To end the evening, we ordered Wagyu sushi—one piece served raw and the other cooked—and both were absolutely delicious.“
