Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen in Long Beach

“I was just off a fast and craving Popeyes. I ordered online and went it to pick it up. I was greeted promptly by the guy at the service desk he was taking orders so a nice young lady came from the dining room area to assist me. My order was ready when I got there. I was so ready to give a 5 star review my bone in spicy chicken was hot, fresh and delicious I ate a piece in the car. Unfortunately my tenders were hard and old I was a lil disappointed but I was already home when I realized but the fries, mashed potatoes and jalapeños were on point. They seemed a bit busy so I get it.. other than that great food and service. Next time I’ll bite a tender before leaving haaa“

“Let me tell you the back story of this Popeyes franchise My mother Helen Johnson, used to shop at,
this establishment when it was pioneer chicken The owner of the establishment a older Korean man he was just at his wits and he didn't know what to do He's about to basically go out of business so my mom was in there a patron of course and he just basically asked her cuz she she comes in there once in a while what can he do for some reason people see my mom they see authority and they see help, and my mom for free told him well I heard Popeye's is pretty popular My folks look Popeyes it's pretty close to how black people cook seasoning wise try that it'll work so he did it was night and day for this man as soon as he switched that place was packed This is back in the in the '90s Nice family, I don't know if the same ones are still there so respectful I wanted to give them a picture of my mother so they can pay their respects to she passed in 1999 November but I'm glad to see that the old place is still there alive and kicking ( simple minds) the'80s pop group. “A good spot for a quick bite or to grab food on the go. It’s fast food, so you don’t really expect anything beyond quick service and a fast way to fill your stomach :)

I liked the chicken breasts — juicy, nicely grilled, and moderately spicy. The fries were a bit soggy, but overall okay.

One interesting thing: if you’re looking for food late at night and it turns into a bit of an adventure, this place won’t disappoint — it stays open later than most, and the full menu is available at any time.

“The food was good ig. I always got the Popcorn Shrimp. Im picky so I most of the time order the same thing all of the time. The biscuits were ok but the “honey” is just corn syrup so i wouldnt eat that. The chicken batter was bussin but the chicken itself was like unseasoned so pretty mid. Overall 8/10 experience. Only went here with my coworker.“
