“The lady knows my voice! She automatically says Hola Josefina! Yesterday, she made me a lupus with cheese and CALABASITAS! She makes tamales. The chicken ones are so good. I bought a dozen at 10 am. took them home by 300pm they were gone. She takes orders ANYTIME and makes hundreds of them for CHRISTMAS! I love her!“

“Pupuseria Salvadorena is an absolute original taste of salvadorian popusa & for anyone craving authentic Salvadorian cuisine. Nestled in a vibrant location willow long beach , this place delivers the genuine flavors of El Salvador. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a clean, bustling atmosphere and fast, attentive service. The food is superb—whether you’re savoring the rich, hearty caldos (like the caldo de res or caldo de cerdo), or indulging in crispy empanadas, every bite is a taste of tradition. Don’t miss the horchata or the traditional Salvadoran juices—they’re a perfect pairing. The décor is equally impressive, with beautiful murals that depict Salvadoran landscapes and the rich culinary heritage of Salvadoran women. Parking can be tight in the back, but the experience inside is absolutely worth it. This is a must-visit spot for anyone seeking an authentic taste of El Salvador.“

“I have had pupusas all over the Los Angeles area. These are worth driving to Long Beach for. They are absolutely fantastic and the best I’ve had in the last eight years of traveling to LA. The fillings are very generous, and the slaw is excellent. The frijoles are so silky, smooth, and perfectly seasoned, I’m pretty sure angels eat them. Next time I come to LA I’m driving to Long Beach to come here.“

“Came across this place while driving back home. I was in the mood for a pupusa with queso y frijoles! Mariela was super helpful, funny, and kind! I got my order to-go, but Mariela was still super attentive to my sister and I! The pupusas were delicious, the toppings were good as well. Definitely recommend this spot!“

“5 stars to the food, it tastes really good and ingredients are good quality. This is my favorite spot to get Salvadorian breakfast.
Service is not great they are very dry and direct. And also they take their time making the food. I highly suggest to call and order ahead.“

“Someone told me about this place. I drove back and forward and was unable to find the place. But finally I did. The place is small, cozy, clean, but fits many people.Pupusas were good, not salty, not greasy. Their drink, ensalada de fruta was refreshing, not too sweet 😊“

“I ordered the Huevos with green and red sauce. The green is very hot. It tastes great. Everything is excellent. The rice and beans have a different taste than Mexican and I like it a lot. Mmmm the fried plantains are so good and Salvadorian tortillas I enjoyed very much. I highly recommend the breakfast that I had.“

“Homey restaurant that serves up fresh homemade El Salvadoran food. Everything was fresh and good. The fried plantains with black beans and eggs with fresh tortillas I feel we're meant for pupusas which works for me. CASH ONLY. Street parking only with locals as most customers like myself. Hole in the wall special!! And know the homeless try to come in and beg for money which is interesting because the paying customers just ignore. Provecho.“
