Baroo Reviews
Amazing food. Plate licking sauces, organic, locally sourced food. Korean fusion. Did I mention organic pickled everything. Enzyme rich food. Beyond healthy. Humble little hope in the wall run by a husband and wife team. Dude went to Korea to study with the most famous vegan nun chef in Korea. A must go to for anyone who loves food and especially loves fusion with organic and very well priced. He should charge
Much more but they don’t.
Can't recommend more. Incredible dining experience. All the courses contained the essence of symbolic Korean flavors. All the items felt healthy and very true to the seasonal ingredients that truly nourish our bodies. The menu and how it was prepared truly delivered the message that food is medicine (also crazily delicious). Would love to revisit another season.
Baroo was one of the more memorable fine-dining meals I’ve had in LA recently. The cooking feels thoughtful, delicate, and very personal, with Korean flavors presented in a way that still feels ingredient-driven rather than overly conceptual.

Baroo is a restaurant that serves a unique menu, featuring dishes such as Tae, Yang, Saeng, Dae, Wang, and Byung. The Beef Short Ribs are a standout. Reviewers praise the food, calling it "very good" and "enjoyable." The restaurant's modern take on Asian flavors and its location in the Arts District of LA make it a standout. With its unique dishes, the restaurant offers a transformation of Korean food that customers love. Guests can enjoy a tasting menu with Korean Sool Pairing or a non-alcoholic pairing, both of which are highly recommended. The food is described as having rich flavors and textures, with the "Dae" course (soy braised black cod) and "Jeol" dessert course (peach sorbet) being particularly notable. The service is attentive, and the staff make sure guests are well taken care of from start to finish. The atmosphere is beautiful, perfect for special occasions like anniversaries or birthdays. Vegetarian options are available, and parking can be found on the street or at a discounted rate in the Garey Building garage. The care and passion behind the dishes, along with the dedicated team, make Baroo one of the best dining experiences in LA. Visitors also enjoy the teas, like white lotus tea, which pair well with the courses.
