“We dined at Damian for the second time. Our minds and tastebuds were blown again! Everything was high level, food drink, service, desert, even down to the tiny cookie that came with our espresso. And, the duck carnitas, chefs kiss!“

“The food is phenomenal. We got reservations for 2 at the bar 3 weeks in advance. The bar seating was great, had a nice time chatting with the bartenders and other customers. We ordered 5 dishes per person and we enjoyed everything we got!
Some dishes that stood out:
1. Tripe kushiyaki—this was my favorite, it was so tender and flavorful. I never had tripe prepared like this, it didn’t taste like tripe at all.
2. Raw oysters—the jello was bright and made this common dish so unique
3. Chicken meatball skewer—it’s a big piece and was very juicy
4. Mushroom kushiyaki—the sauce was everything ?
5. Miso bone marrow—super rich and was so tasty with the rice
Parking:
They have valet for $12 (cash or venmo)“

“The signature dish is the crab in sauce, which comes in medium and large sizes. medium is two crabs with two bowls of rice, and large is three crabs. Compared with other Korean restaurants, the sauce crab taste is mild, and it will not be salty enough to explode in the middle of the meal and cannot continue to eat. The crab is fresh, not fishy, and the meat is firm, not squishy. The crab meat is also very full, the crab legs are full, there is no empty shell crab. The sea urchin rice is a little smaller but the sea urchin is enough. regular sea urchins are not particularly sweet, but they are fresh and worth the price. The sea urchin Rice bowl combo will be served with steamed eggs, runny eggs and two prawns in sauce. Raw marinated salmon rice is amazing to me. The salmon is marinated just enough to be flavorful, but not overly salty. The portions are generous. You can eat two bites of each piece of salmon.“

“Loved the sweet potato, Loma Salgado and lamb tacos. One person in the party had a green bean taco and did not love it. Everything else we had was excellent. Great place to eat before an event downtown. Casual dress and an affordable place so pick something else if you are looking for upscale night. You can never go wrong if looking for taco's downtown.“

“Great place to eat! We had our breakfast here and it was really nice. In the evening we went here again to have a quick bite, the staff was so friendly, kept the place open after 9pm and shared their left over pastries for free. 10/10 recommend.“

“After a day out in Los Angeles, we decided to dine at this restaurant, and it turned out to be a delightful culinary journey. We opted for the Hansang Jeongsik with LA Galbi, Kkotge Doenjang Jjigae, and Grilled Fish, accompanied by an array of delectable banchan (side dishes).
The LA Galbi was a revelation—perfectly grilled, tender, and infused with a savory marinade that made every bite a burst of flavor. The Kkotge Doenjang Jjigae (soybean paste stew with crab) was a standout dish, with a rich and robust broth that perfectly complemented the sweetness of the crab, creating a deeply satisfying flavor profile. The grilled fish was expertly cooked, with a crispy exterior and moist, flaky interior, complemented by a hint of lemon.
The variety of banchan included everything from crisp, fresh greens to pickled delicacies, each adding its unique taste and texture to the meal. Every dish was prepared with care and presented beautifully.
The ambiance of this restaurant is equally impressive. The interior is modern yet cozy, with ample natural light flooding through large windows. The clean, sleek design is enhanced by touches of rustic charm, such as the wooden elements and tastefully arranged décor. The dining area is spacious, providing both comfort and privacy for a relaxed dining experience.
Service was impeccable. The staff were attentive, patient, and eager to ensure we had everything we needed, contributing significantly to our pleasant dining experience.
This Michelin-starred restaurant offers an exotic atmosphere that enhances the culinary delights. It provides not just a meal, but a memorable dining experience, making it a must-visit spot in Los Angeles. Highly recommended for food lovers of all ages!“

“Ambiance is exceptional!
The service was careful and attentive and the food is flavorful. For the price point I hesitate to recommend the chicken, and our pizza was a litttttle burnt but again the flavors are great. The Caesar salad really stood out for me. And I would definitely recommend this to a friend for an intimate dinner.“

“So it seems this place is seasonal in terms of food so I am unsure what’s something that stays on the menu. I got the turkey meatloaf, fries and deviled eggs. My friend got the loaded baked potato gnocchi (not pictured) and the broccolini. I will say I heard this place was really good so maybe this just wasn’t the best season to go, but the food was good but not overall memorable. Meatloaf was tender and moist and I enjoyed the tangy sauce but it wasn’t a wow factor to it. I would say the star was surprisingly the broccolini. It was amazingly flavorful. I really enjoyed it. The deviled eggs were really good too. Nice little kick to them. The gnocchi, though cooked well, didn’t really evoke a loaded baked potato. I would have been good to have some sort or acid or something with it, as it’s really rich as well. Overall it was good! Not great but solid. I am unsure if I would return unless I saw maybe something different on the menu I’d want to try. I’ll def keep track of their menu to see. A nice date night spot because the restaurant was very cute.“

“Oriel is a modern wine bar/bistry that serves french food. The food is simple but tasty and the service is great. They have a pretty good sized wine list and a lot of food options as well. The atmosphere is great, with a cozy patio and interior. This is a lovely gem tucked in the quieter part of Chinatown and is a great spot to catch up with friends or for a date night. Tons of easy parking right in front of the restaurant and it’s located under the train line by the Chinatown metro station.“

“Best food ever. Best staff ever. My daughter suffered a medical emergency at the WeHo location. The manager and staff were beyond kid and helpful. Not that I recommend having a seizure at a restaurant, but Pizzana handled it beautifully. I do love their food. Authentic, fresh and delicious. Their gluten free pizza is the best in town.♥️“

“My sister and I ate the most delicious meal here tonight. Started with an excellent Malbec accompanied by their homemade bread and both spicy and regular chimichurri dipping sauce, then the shrimp and pink sauce as well as prosciutto with burrato appetizer and we spilt a cheese and a beef empanada.. As a main, we had the ribeye cooked to a perfect medium rare and lamb chops equally well prepared. The homemade creamed spinach was better than the best Thanksgiving side! Dessert was a marscapone pie with chocolate glaze and homemade chocolate ice cream. This is fine dining without the pretense.“

Great place to take the family or just to grab a bite with some friends. Decorated nicely with taste. Service was fantastic. Staff was friendly and helpful. Their food was absolutely delicious and fresh. Words cannot describe their uniquely creative flavors so do yourself a favor and find out for yourselves, you will not be disappointed. “Everything was perfect except for the waiter. We had to ask to order drinks, ask to order, ask for drinks again, ask to get the plates cleared, ask for a dessert menu, ask for the bill. They were not that busy and all we needed was a somewhat engaging waiter. He seemed annoyed to be there.“

“I adore this amazing eatery. My favorite thing is the Ricotta & Orange Blossom Honey toast. The bread is crunchy, thick, grilled and fullof flavor. The extremely thick layer of high quality ricotta has such a delicate sweeness. Topped with toasted sesame seeds that add not only texture but a slight nuttiness that perfectly compliments the ricotta. And then the piece de resistance is the perfect drizzle of local orange blossom honey it adds the peefect end note to this lucious dish. I love eating there as well. Everyone is so friendly. The cooks are consistent and fabulous. It's so much fun just enjoying the sights and sounds of Fairfax while have the best pizza or various bruschettas they offer. The ambiance is half pizza joint and half Los Angeles trendy eatery. It's definitely one of my favorite places to dine.“

“Angelini Osteria totally lived up to the hype! We had a great dinner there that night and I can't wait to go back again soon. Let's start with the star of this show: uni pasta. Oh my gosh, it was divine! The uni was so fresh and creamy and the pasta itself was cooked just right. Every bite was an explosion of flavor. We also tried the baked lasagna and it was delightful. The layers were perfectly balanced and each bite was full of rich, savory flavors. Let's not forget dessert! We shared a few different things and they were all great. The tiramisu was fluffy and decadent and the chocolate mousse was rich and smooth. Overall, Angelini Osteria is definitely a must-try for Italian food lovers in Los Angeles. The food is incredible, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. We can't wait to come back and try more dishes on the menu!“

“I've been visiting this hidden gem for over a decade, and I can confidently say that their bánh mì remains some of the best I’ve ever had in Chinatown! The #1 option with cold cuts and Vietnamese-style meatloaf is incredibly flavorful. I might be mistaken, but I detect a lovely smoky note that elevates the entire sandwich.
The bread is truly exceptional—fresh, soft on the inside, and perfectly crunchy on the outside. It’s the ideal baguette to complement the vibrant fillings. Every bite is a delightful mix of textures and flavors that keeps me coming back for more. If you’re in the area, you have to give this place a try!“

“I was traveling and wanted to get some soon tofu and this place was excellent.
Coming from Utah, where Korean cuisine has gotten ridiculously expensive for the mid-tier quality, this place was amazing and reasonably priced (though I'm not sure how it compares to the rest of LA).
I thought the service was great too and will be back.“

“Superb place. Unfortunately Jonny Won (?) left couple of years ago but the current Chef is more than capable of upholding this restaurant's glowing reputation for exceptionally fresh ingredients and superb cooking skills. My only advice is to stick to fish and leave the meat dishes as, although nice, are not quite "wow" as they used to be.“

“We visited Cara restaurant for my birthday, and it was such a lovely, cozy spot! The ambiance was perfect, and the staff were all very polite and attentive, which made our experience enjoyable. We started with the caramelized Brussels sprouts, oysters, and truffle fries. The oysters were incredibly fresh and definitely stood out, while the Brussels sprouts and truffle fries were decent, though nothing extraordinary. For drinks, we tried the Cactus and the Cali, and both were fantastic! We really enjoyed them. Our main course was the chicken shawarma. The flavor was okay, but we felt the presentation could have been better. Overall, Cara is a nice restaurant with a great atmosphere. We're looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes!“

“Great food , nice people. I enjoyed the pasta and desserts. My biggest issue aside from price is that they tried to give us a 4% surcharge, which I'm pretty sure is illegal. Claiming "it's for benefits". They removed it from my check. But please be wary. Otherwise great place“
