“This place is very close to achieving what it's setting out to do: provide an elegant vegetarian dining experience. I think that might be hard to pull off in a strip mall however. The food and the art are fantastic but the interior design was poorly executed and comes off looking a little cheap. I went for my birthday but for the price this might have been a one time experience. Updated from previous review on 2024-04-06“

“My fiancé and I have put Mazal in our rotation of FAVORITE places. It's not just the food, but since it's yelp..... THE FOOD: I'm new to the vegetarian lifestyle, and started reluctantly under doctor's orders. Mazal has been a revelation! Tal and his staff prepare vegetarian dishes that taste amazing because they were always intended to be vegetarian! Fresh fennel salad, hearty beats with cumin, silky humus and baba ganoush. And mushrooms so perfectly grilled that they taste - dare I say - MEATY, like a mushroom should! So yes, the food is supurb. But that's not the reason we come back. Nor is it the reason we decided to celebrate our recent engagement with them. Mazal feels like a home. The decor is warm, the patio is beautiful and spacious, and Hanni, Tal, and the rest of the staff are kind and welcoming. So, I suggest you come for the food, stay for the people, and come back for both.“

“Wow. I liked Indimex before they changed management, now I love it! I wrote a review 7 years ago with a follow up 6 years ago pre covid. Remember when? During Covid and even more recently, I would order and have it delivered. But tonight I saw they were open and there was parking space right in front so I went in person. Wonderfully warm new owner, quaint dining room albeit small but remodeled and the new owner has plans for more. - feels more authentically Indian with a Mexican twist. Indian movie posters and music, colorful walls and tables. Their Chicken Tikka Masala sauce is the real deal as is the raita. Delicious. The chicken tikka masala quesadillas are reasonable and filling. I'm so glad they survived Covid and with this new management I'm excited to see what comes next. Have an adventure as I said in my original posting 7 years ago. Tired of the same old same old? Support local businesses. And enjoy!“

“I asked Vegan AF to cater an event for about 50-60 diverse people and Chanel killed it. Our guests said they would be fully converted to veganism if it meant eating her hand-fried crispy wraps stuffed with a flavorable combination of vegetables and faux meats. This is really important to my family who tease me for being vegetarian. She showed up early so we had time to organize things in the party room to best serve her needs and the flow of the event. The pink containers and branding made sure that everyone who loved her food would be able to find her. There were a lot of designers, so branding was important. Most importantly, Vegan AF complimented the community festival vibe of the night. I look forward to eating Vegan AF again and again as many of the guests that night. Thank you, Chanel.“

As a resident of Orange County, I've had my fair share of meal delivery services, including Hello Fresh and Cook Unity, but none have come close to the exceptional quality, taste, and service provided by this local small business. The first thing that stands out about Guru Meals is their incredible menu. It's hard to believe they do vegan - but they do, and they do it exceptionally well! The food is not just good, it's mind-blowingly delicious. The flavors are rich, the ingredients are fresh, and the variety is impressive. It's clear that the chef is not just skilled, but also passionate about creating meals that are both healthy and delectable. The team at Guru Meals is simply amazing. Josh and Melissa, I can't thank you enough for your hard work and dedication. Your hustle is evident in every meal that arrives at my doorstep. When I needed to switch out my order just two days before delivery, you accommodated my request without hesitation. Your commitment to customer satisfaction is truly commendable. But what really sets Guru Meals apart is their extraordinary service. I was in Palm Springs for Coachella, and they delivered my food right there! It's not every day that you find a company willing to go that extra mile (quite literally!) to ensure their customers are well-fed and happy. In conclusion, if you're in Orange County or Los Angeles and are looking for a vegan meal delivery service, look no further than Guru Meals. “Probably some of the best food on Slauson Ave hands down. Got blessed and had the opportunity to meet the owner himself, big shout out to the chef himself he knows what he's doing in the kitchen! Highly recommended, the perfect spot to grab something to eat and visit Nipsey's Memorial.“

“Anytime I read about great LA restaurants, this place never comes up, and I'm not sure why. We've been coming here for years and have never gotten anything short of an excellent meal. We've only dined in once, but the service was fantastic and they made us feel like family. Highly recommended any of the fried rice or wing options. Curry is excellent as well!“

“I had the 3 tacos combo plate. The tacos were good. I had the veggie, al pastor and carnitas. The al pastor was the best of the three. The rice and beans were alright. The portion size could have been a little bigger. The refried beans were a little bland and they charge $0.65 for salsa which wasn't great. That just seems a little petty. Overall I would definitely come back though.“

“Always love coming to Doomies when I am in LA. This is is one of my top fast food style eateries as a vegan. Everything I have had from here has just been so delicious and a treat to eat. I don't think I've had their desserts yet, but they are so massive I may not end my quick trip here without trying a slice.I had the pulled pork for the first time, and I was so glad to see 'not jackfruit', I had to try. Delicious!!Wife had the burger and she loved it as well. Cheese fries and a drink from the freestyle machine sets it all off!“

“A solid place for some decent salad. I don't necessarily think they are healthy with all the dressing and whatnot, but it tastes good and seems fresh. I have been to other places to customize your own salad, and MIXT is not much different, to be honest. The banner saying 'LA's Best Salad' is what made me want to try this place. There are numerous options to choose from that are all pre-set with healthy greens, nuts, and indeed proteins for some, but you can always make your own salad with whatever you like. I got a seasonal salad, Spicy Brussels, and it was pretty good. Little pieces of avocado were great, as they made it more creamy, and the texture of crunchy pumpkin seeds was surely pleasing.I had some pieces of veggies that were not supposed to be in mine, but I assume they just fell in while being prepared at the same time as other salads.I was really full after finishing the entire salad, and it did not leave me too heavy, which is always a plus. You can also adjust the amount of salad dressing, and I always go light since I do not fancy salad drenched in dressing. You can also get a piece of bread (as pictured) at no extra cost if you ask. All by each, it was good, and I would go back again. Having their own lot with parking was really great, especially in this area.“

You cannot pick a wrong item on the entire menu. Every bite keeps you wishing it was an endless treat that has a consistency of a hearty meal, but so light that it’s healthy for you. Whatever your recipes are, keep it up! I’d go out my way after a 14 hour work day just to do enjoy one of your crunch wrap supremes. Stay great you legends!“

“I love Greenleaf! I'm so happy the Century City location is open again <3. The food is consistent, clean, fresh and super tasty across all locations. I love the upgrades they've made to the CC location to give it a more, "stay and hang out" vibe. I LOVE that they have paleo options, and they are all GOOD! When I'm not on paleo, my go-to's are the "Cheap N' Easy" breakfast sandwich (lots of protein!) and the Hollywood Bowl. I've done dine-in, pick-out and delivery. Enjoy!Dietary restrictions: Paleo“
