“Made reservations ahead of time and was seated within a couple of minutes of arrival. Service and food were amazing. Ordered 4 dishes between 2 of us and must say that our favorite was the goat liver mousse. The crumpets that accompany the mousse were the star!Parking: Parking is along the street around the restaurant. May be difficult to find parking if coming during peak dinner hours. Some streets may be dark so be wary of surroundings.“
“This jungle sanctuary is worth every dime. The decor is amazing, the service is excellent and the food is exquisite. Everything at Meteora is memorable; whether it's the à la carte menu or the set menu. The sweet pea hors d'oeuvre or the risotto entrée or the rib eye (the wagyu is advised) or the chocolate ganache with sorbet for dessert. Every dish leaves an unforgettable taste in your mouth. We were lucky to be served by Gina but then, everyone who brings a dish is super helpful. Thanks Meteora for this unforgettable culinary experience.“
“Food and wine selection at AOC is very good. The service is what stood out most. I dined here Monday night and the hostess was very kind. Michael our waiter really made our night. He had great menu and drink recommendations and his positive attitude was so infectious it really made our night. He really set the standard for amazing service. We will be back asap to see him!“
“I absolutely love Bacari Silverlake location! Not only is the atmosphere incredible but the customer service is exceptional. I was just there for my birthday on Tuesday night and my server Kevin went out of his way to make it seem like a special occasion and helped contribute to making my night memorable! Thank you so much Bacari and Kevin!“
“This place was cool. It was bright, loved the bookcases and the owner took the time to come out to greet us. We had a delicious dinner. The crispy mushrooms and lettuce wrap appetizers were really good. Add a pizza, salmon tacos and a mushroom burger, we had a feast!! We’d definitely go back again.“
“Hands down the best breakfast biscuits I've had. I stop here every single time I'm in l.a. I finally tried something new and ordered the ADB Loco Motto, and it didn't disappoint. The drinks were strong and good. Get there early because it's a neighborhood favorite and fills up fast. The space is cozy, and parking is very limited.Parking: I only saw metered street parking, and there weren't a lot of spots available. You may have to park down the street and walk down to the restaurant.“
“Our server was helpful in deciding what we should order. Started with delicious arancini. We ordered cauliflower steak w/ a wonderful sauce underneath. Also got schwarma encased in homemade pita. Followed by donut holes that came to the table piping hot. We will be back!“
“Very pleasantly surprised by the meal. Ambiance is great, perfect music volume. Great looking outdoor space, but i never felt outside. The food was the real star of the show. Service seems to start slow, by design. They give you a moment 5-10 minutes to settle into your table, before the "show" commences.“
“Food was amazing! The service was bad! Very expensive but I expected to be better taken care of. They were fully staffed but no one seemed to be working efficiently. We were 8 and none of the food runners ever knew who ordered what. They had to ask on every plate they brought. Not just our table but others as well. I don’t know if they have busboys as our table was never cleared. Plates upon plate stacked up. No one asked if we wanted a second drink and the glasses were never picked up. When we ordered dessert we had to move the 16 empty drink and water glasses to one side, gather the bread plates, wipe everything down and wait for our desserts. It was a busy night but not too busy for bad service. I kinda expected more than diner service at such an expensive restaurant.“
“**Update: there is no place I enjoy eating at for important meals than at HLAY. Food and drink are second to none. But, it's the staff and crew that really and it into the stratosphere. I couldn't ask for a better meal, all around, than here. Jonathan, the place is in good, capable hands. Rest in power and at ease, they got this covered for you.Find me a better restaurant in LA with a better staff, better curated menu with drinks, better ambiance and I'll fight you as you why you're wrong.“
“The influence of Alice Waters and David Tennis is at play in the $45 prix fixe 3-course lunch, simple, elegant and delicious. The rest of the menu, except the desserts and cocktails, looks to be uninterestingly pedestrian. Recently, a salad of thinly shaved manchego, mint, beets and radicchio first course and a perfectly cooked Sea bass, very plump clams, broad beans, and fennel second course in a seafood broth lightly seasoned with dill were superb, as were desserts that our waiter allowed us to substitute for the third course. Highly recommended for lunch.“
“Best upscale Filipino food on the Sunset strip! Will definitely be back.Try the lechon kawali and chicken skins! OMG! So heavenly! Our server was great and very sweet and seemed to genuinely care that our experience is nothing short of superb!“
“Kind of hidden away in the slightly shady feeling streets south of Hollywood Blvd is this gorgeous cafe/restaurant.If the weather's nice try to get a table outside, otherwise inside is just lovely.Apart from the awesome breads, the salads and sandwiches are amazing. Try the grains bowl for something filling, healthy and delicious! The service is super friendly and intrusive, just the way it should be.Highly recommended.“
“Went on a Sunday for brunch and there was a hefty wait around ~1-1.5hrs, which was completely expected for the area. We were fine with waiting as there's a lot of neat shops to explore and farmersmarket in the area. We ordered the breakfast burrito, spicy chicken sandwich, ceviche, and pepperoni pizza. The ceviche comes with homemade huge taro root chips - which was a nice touch! Everything was delicious but the chicken sandwich was really wet - to the point of needing to eat with a fork and knife. I personally would not order it again as it felt a bit too soupy for me but overall everything was tasty. Service was great and friendly. We sat outside as we had our husky with us - the place was very dog friendly outside.“
“Love this hidden gem. Great for outdoor dining. I am not a hummus guy but the hummus starter might have changed my mind, it’s a must try. The food is delicious, fresh off the grill. The veggies were perfectly cooked and tasty. The lamb chops were pretty good.“
“Me and my wife went here as a last-minute anniversary meal. We didn't book but managed to get a place at the bar to eat. The service and food were excellent, and the atmosphere was fantastic. I'd recommend the short rib beef to anyone that cared to listen. We sloped into the Old Man bar afterward for a final cocktail to finish the night. Drinks are a little pricey, if I'm honest, but the quality was there in abundance. I can't wait to go again.“
“The aesthetic here is quite beautiful. Made by a graffiti artist Kacper Abolik, horses and other subjects adorn the walls as you eat in the back room. Many dishes make a correlation to horses as well. The hot plate is a horse shoe. The butter is molded into a horse. The details really make the experience. The cocktails and wine selection is lovely as well. It's a great place to go for date night!“
“WOW. It was an amazing dining EXPERIENCE. We had a party of 9 which allowed for trying many items. Everything we ordered was tasty.:Rating -10 - Bing (Cultured Butter & Honey - Ribeye Au Jus)10 - Little Gem Salad9 - Grilled Boy Choy10 - Crispy Potatoes8 - Mushroom Crispy Rice9 - Grilled Striped Bass8 - Iberico Pork11 - Whole Plate Short Rib11 - Desert DonutThe bing hands down some of the best bread I've ever had and the toppings were superb. The little Gem Salad was a complete surprise with unusual flavor combinations dancing in my mouth. The Crispy Rice and Iberico pork were my least favorites. Pork was a very small portion and dry. Crispy rice had great serving presentation however there were bits a little difficult to chew. Boy Choy and Bass were good but nothing stood out.Short rib was decadent, tender and absolutely delicious with an unexpectant surprise of fried rice made with the remaining bits from the table side serving. To top of the evening was the OUTSTANDING donut desert served in New Orleans flaming style with caramel, Macadamia nuts and pineapple.Cant wait to return. I daydream about the outing and Already have reservations to try other items and reorder my favorites.“
“Always good. It's just always good. Great environment, relaxed but it you want to be fancy you'll still fit right in. Good service, great drinks, good food. Superb people watching. Everyone's preferred first date spot. If you arrive early you can visit the garden and say hello to the chickensParking is always the worst so be prepared to pay to park whether you park in a lot or valet just be aware that the valets are going to park your car on the street same as everyone else ?I wish they were open in the morning for coffee, even if it was just a little cart with simple coffee and pastries only.Parking: Parking is always the worst so be prepared to pay to park whether you park in a lot or valet just be aware that the valets are going to park your car on the street same as everyone else ?Everywhere in the vicinity is like that, the curse of a cool neighborhood. And also the city rezoned the parking and reduced the numbers of spots to maybe 1/2 or 1/3 of what there was and made huge unnecessary red zones everywhere, but that's another story ?☕“
“Great views and yummy food. Menu is quite eclectic with an Asian and Middle Eastern twist. Our waitress Jambeth was nice and politely asked us when we sat down if we had a show at the Pantages. That was very thoughtful and much appreciated. As it was we were there for my birthday and so we were not in a rush and could enjoy the skyline and cuisine. Ordered the shrimp cocktail, chicken liver and charred carrot starter. Had Cacio & Pepe, Charmoula and Duck Confit as our main. Was given a complementary dessert as it was my birthday with a candle which was a lovely gesture. Would definitely go back for drinks on summer evening and enjoy the sunset.“
“The variety of Indian food was mainly focused on certain region and elevated it so well. I enjoyed every bit of the food. The desserts were different with a twist. Will be coming back here. They do not serve hard liquor but do have wine and beer. Parking is on the road.“
“Our second time dining here, this time we brought friends. It was perfect and food, service was awesome. However I was a bit disappointed by the lobster pot pie.... It was not what I was expecting, lobster was cold and just didn't taste right. Other than that, great place to fine“
“The church-turned-restaurant has a clear sky above, creating a lazy and comfortable environment. The service staff kindly introduced the menu of the day. California cuisine is a fusion of Asian and Western food characteristics. The complimentary bread is very similar to Asian double cheese bread, and the cheese taste is very fragrant. Strawberries & burrata cheese is like a variation of the classic Italian mozzarella cheese and tomato salad. It is quite beautiful and delicious. The Day Boat Scallops have a crispy topping and a tender center. It has a rich texture and is paired with spiced pumpkin puree, caramelized carrots and vegetables. , gooseberry, with diverse and harmonious flavors. Next time I’m in Los Angeles, I want to try other interesting meals!“
“Everything about this place is special-from the food to the individuals working there. So much thought went into making every individual's needs met (even the younger members of my party). Haven't had a good meal like that in a long time.“
“Every time we visit LA we have come to the Edmond for years. They recently changed their license and unfortunately we didn’t find out until our friend came with her 18 yr. old daughter and we sat down and she had water and was carded and asked to leave. It is now 21 and over, so no more family meals here. It’s unfortunate, but true. Please Post a sign for those that have been coming for years and don’t check the website.“
“Went here for the first time in a while, bought a bunch of drinks for my rugby teammates and even though they never paid me back, I still had a great time. The old fashioned was really good, service was great, the inside looks amazing. 10/10 would let my teammates mooch off here me again.“
“I am not exaggerating when I say that lunch at Mother Tongue surpassed our wildest expectations. Truly, if I could gave this place 10 stars, I would! Everything from the very friendly, efficient service to the wonderful atmosphere (just loved their decor, color scheme and relaxing background music) to the excellent food was outstanding! They made our wedding anniversary lunch really special! Recommend the delicious black kale salad and wild salmon bowl. Their yuzu pana cotta and soft serve sundae desserts are to die for!! Will definitely be back and highly recommend!“
“I really do not understand all the negative reviews. Our server was very attentive from the outset and stayed so during the entire meal. He made sure we had our drinks at the right time, appropriately spaced out our dishes and ensured we were out in time for our show. He was excellent! Also excellent was the food. The chicken liver mousse was velvety smooth and oh so tasty! The kanpachi and Mitaki mushroom dishes were both so good and so different. Asparagus risotto perfectly cooked and the lamb shank delicious. The drinks too from the Gin and Guava to the paper plane, martini #5 and wine. Overall a really wonderful, well worth it experience!! We will be back.“
“Awesome place. We had a Ies meeting there in private dining and the food rocked and so did the service. The cheese cake was to die forvand they bring a giant piece in it's own whole cheese cake . Yum . I had brisket was so yummy . In this inflation prices were decent for amount of food. I had never been there before. But I hear it's well know and established for a long time. If yiu are looking for a place and never been there before yiu have to goParking was easy and plenty of it when I went“
“Without a doubt one of the best pizzas in town. I have tried the variety of Diego's pizza recipes and he nails it every time. Support this local small business, you won't regret it. And by the way, his Chicago deep dish is going to blow your mind.“
“This was the first time dining at Joyce and I absolutely loved it! The atmosphere was great and food was amazing!! Everything we ate was so seasoned and delicious! We didn't wait long for our food. Everything came out as it was ready and the staff were so friendly and gave us great recommendations for our first time! Our waiter was Rob and he was amazing!! Definitely will be going back!“
“My wife and I just had our 4 year wedding anniversary at Bacari W 3rd. Could not have picked a better place! The semi-private garden area was perfect for our 30 person event, beautifully setup with personalized touches for our party. The service was impeccable and the food and drinks were outstanding. Everyone had such a great time!“
“I came here for my partner's birthday and we had an amazing time! The service is top notch and the food is delicious. The ambiance is intimate and romantic, making it great for date night or gathering with close friends. If you're looking for a mature environment with great food, I highly recommend.“
“Today my husband and I, visiting from Florida, took a walk in hopes of finding lunch while our Los Angeles daughter continued her work day from home. What a find! We stumbled across Three Borders Grill. My husband ordered a Tronnquito and after explaining that I'm a vegetable and either chicken, beef, or fish eater, #37 was recommended minus the black beans and rice. OMG does not describe the deliciousness of what was put in front of me. Everything was garden fresh, including red, yellow, and orange peppers, brocolli, asparagus, and a large amount of chicken. We both were amazed at the presentation and the flavor. We also had 2 all-natural drinks with our meal. Mine was orange based and my husband's was pineapple. Very refreshing with no sugar added. Then, they prepared a fried banana for us to share, but without the sugar they usually add. I can't recall a more satisfying dining experience and we just stumbled across this gem. We chatted with the owner and she shared the meaning of her three-border concept and her love of using very fresh and natural ingredients. We were so impressed that we asked if she'd pose with us for a photo. Absolutely made my day!“
“I dont want to be too critical - but to me this place was just ok.. i mean props on elevating , and putting a twist to Fil dishes. - but it was underwhelming, atleast for me. Ive had many filipino fusion, twist or watever u wanna call it. Iv had Kasama in Chicago, the first Filipino Michelin Star -- and maybe that was my standard... still good though , I wings sadly was my favorite.. kare kare was cool.. but more sauce and more bagoong wouldve been cool - but then again I think they played it safe - to cater to non Fils... now the Pancit Palabok - I dd not get the pasta filling -- it was shrimp supposedly - tasted more like a fish ball, meat ball texture.. it threw me of cus Palabok is mostly just noodles w sauce - and some shrimp if youre lucky , and chicharon.. it had a lil of palabok to it but again I didnt get the pasta filling -- Its a pop up vibe, it was dark like really dark, and was only 2 tables dining, it was also so the menu was super limited.. maybe il come for dinner next time.. but I saw the dinner prices , and its a lil too much , as people have said on yelp, so not sure if Il even go unless it comes about... give em a try , maybe Im just too bias cus of Kasama and also a yelper said, a non Filipino would enjoy it more -- server also gave us the wrong bill, not a big deal but considering there was only 2 tables there , it kinda messed up the vibe more lol .. but still 4 stars for support n the food wasnt bad so dont be discouraged.. check em out.“
“The food was so delicious. I recommend the chorizo and frijoles. We had two servers one was exceptional however the other server made us very uncomfortable with his aggressive, bad attitude and rude behavior. I'd like to say I would come back but if I saw him I would RUN!“
“The food was amazing, but we felt really rushed which was disappointing when you’re eating a $200 meal. We drove up from San Diego specifically to go to a show and this restaurant. We decided to eat after the show so that we could take our time. I know it says they close at 9, and I’ve served before, but because it was such an expensive restaurant I assumed that just meant their last seating was before 9, as is the case at many nice places. We got there at 8:40 for our reservation, which again I normally wouldn’t do, but thought it was a last seating time, and although I requested outside when I made the reservation in advance, they said it wasn’t open. We’re very covid-cautious so it would’ve been nice if they’d emailed or called letting us know. We actually left the show early and wouldn’t have done that had we known. We reluctantly ate inside, but felt really rushed the whole time because apparently 9 is the actual closing time. Maybe it’s open table’s fault for allowing 8:45 reservations, but it wasn’t a $200 experience. The food and drinks were amazing though.“
“Had a really beautiful evening, great food, great ambiance, shared with close friends. Only misstep was that when I made the reservation I noted that it was a birthday celebration for one of the guests. A small gesture like a candle on a dessert would have been nice. Nothing. All in all it was a lovely evening.“
“I was finally able to check off Kismet after months of passing by it after work. The food was delectable and distinctive, and the service was great. The tahdig/persian crispy rice and the roasted maitake mushrooms were our favorites of the night. My boyfriend and I thought that some dishes could tone down on the acidity (like the carrot side dish). Overall, it was a solid dinner, and we would certainly be back to try the other offerings and the dessert menu.“
“Best of all worlds!!! Sat outside next to the fish fountain and the food and drinks were great!! We got the crispy tuna, southwest egg rolls and the braised short rib, we finished off with the crème brûlée…. SO GOOD!?? Our Waitress Linda was very friendly and kept checking on us, PERECT EXPERIENCE!!!“
“Fun place to duck into before a show at the Pantages for a good cocktail and a bite. Enjoyed a variety of sushi to pair with our drinks. If sushi isn't your thing, there is a full menu of options on the reverse menu including short ribs, pasta and such. Ambience is spacious with two floors, outdoor patio seating protected from the busy street and an open bar. Can order food at the bar if a table is not available. Service is efficient and friendly. Reservations recommended.“
“I've been following the Chef Lemos' progress with development of this restaurant and after the success of Wax Paper I was really excited to try it. My wife and I stopped in for brunch on Sunday. Outdoor patio has a good deal of seating in the front and a lot in the back, but the front has a view of the river, which you can also hear occasionally when an obnoxious and pretentious woman isn't drowning everything else out (that's not a knock on the restaurant, just the hipster attitude of some people). The food and drink options are solid. I got the breakfast burrito which was excellent and my wife had the eggs 'n' curds which she enjoyed. The star of the meal was her brunch cocktail, the Superbloom which came at the suggestion of our server. My wife mentioned she could have enjoyed a pitcher of it, especially in the outstanding weather we had. Caution to driving in, however, the construction of several apartment buildings is a little potentially rough on your tires so be mindful. I look forward to returning for dinner in the future. Keep it up Pete!“
“71Above is second to none. The greatest view in Los Angeles, the most professionally-prepared and exquisite-tasting food in Los Angeles (year-round, menu changes slightly every season if the year), and the only thing better than the food is the service by a warm, professional, knowledgeable, and attentive staff. The portions are rich taste and in aesthetic value, bountiful and captivating in flavor and presentation, and are a good size and not disappointing like other high-end restaurants where you're served foam on half a pea and a grape stem on the left of the plate only to be charged $400 for "the chef's vision" (boo) that in reality are neither aesthetically pleasing nor does it stimulate any part of the palate in any memorable way. Yes, restaurant on Melrose, you know who you are and the others, too. 71Above is NOT that kind of place and is, indeed, a beautiful and fulfilling dining experience. Have dined there many times and is our go-to.71Above is one of the only restaurants that serves *actual* and true A5 Wagyu prepared by truly professional chefs that understand the care and attention-to-detail this cut merits. Also home of the best Old-fashioned (called The Downtown here). This is a MUST experience. Make reservations in advance. Local or tourist, it is simply 'cannot miss'. New York has Le Bernadine, LA has 71Above. Best in LA.“
“As always, dinner at Milky Way was special. Fish and Chips, Mini Chimichangas, Seafood Chowder, and Impossible Cheeseburger all exceptional. Service by Takiya was great again(my wife was able to switch raw onions to carmelized onion and American cheese to Swiss cheese.). My mother chose the chili to start fish and chips rather than salad options. Ambiance? Like going to your favorite aunt for a meal.“
“Excellent cafe which offers a welcome respite from construction at LACMA and Metro. You access it via the front door of the Pedersen Auto Museum - you do NOT have to pay for tickets to dine here! And you even get to see some cars for free in the lobby.“
“This place is always amazing. I don't know why it's taken me this long to write a review. We had the Wood Oven Roasted Eggs, their incredible House-made Grilled Italian Sausage, Farmers Market Fruit Plate, and Pablo, who gave us great service, recommended the House-made Strozzapreti Pasta with Mushroom Bolognese (which can be ordered Vegan with Nutritional Yeast instead of the Grana Padano) and it was out of this world. We all had the Ricotta Cheese & Fresh Blueberry Pancakes, some of the best I've ever had anywhere. We sat outside which is lovely, it was cool out, but they had ample heating, and the outside chairs are extremely comfortable, not like those terribly uncomfortable metal chairs and stools that you see almost everywhere around the country, including and especially, LA. I love the old-world feel of the inside as well, but it was so beautiful outside today. I cannot wait to come back here.Vegetarian options: for Brunch: Fried Mushroom Po Boy & the Strozzapreti, among others.“
“Was visiting my daughter who lives in the area. The food and service were great. Need more local craft beer options. Had the signature burger. Came hot and exactly as ordered. Family loved what they had to eat. Brussel sprouts were a favorite. Drinks were tasty as well. We will make a point to visit each time we're in town.“
“We had a meeting iver brunch outside. First time trying the place and I was not disappointed. Had a difficult time choosing which one to get because I was told that almost everything on the menu is great. The Thai Omelette was good too. The staff was friendly and attentive. They also bus your plates out right away after finishing your meal haha.“
“I really Alta! I was greeted very cordially! Another host seated us and was vert attentive! Our waitress referred to us as "friends" and she took care of us as if we were her "friends"! I was only eating plant based foods so she made recommendations. The Vegan California Gumbo, I added tofu as my protein was so delicious. The black eyed peas fritters was flavorful but could stand a tad bit mire seasoning! The ambiance, the various types of people all enjoying this beautiful place. My Sands was in town and this was the perfect place to meet up! I recommend!Parking: Parking is atrocious! Valet is pretty much the best way.“
“Wow! My son and I ate here for a very special dinner. The ambiance was cozy & finely understated, dimly lit along the neckline of diners to create elegant, artful hyyge -- top to bottom. Our waiter was a poised, warm, & knowledgeable gentleman, educating us and engaging generously with my son -- his commentary and conjecture with easeful comfort and charm. Each member of the staff we got to talk to was equally thoughtful and welcoming, making the meal all the more precious because of these extremely heart-felt connections. The food was artful & delicious, obvi. Overall exquisite. Thank you, Team Providence!!!!!“
