“Great atmosphere, definitely a nice date place. The service was great and friendly. I didn’t have a reservation but they were able to give me a seat at the bar. I ordered the onion soup and beef tartare. Supposedly onion soup is their signature dish, but it was really salty, I was a bit disappointed…. Because it was a $20 bowl of soup. The beef tartare was excellent, it would be nice if they offer one extra slice of bread and some more salad leaves. I was happy that they have half bottle of wine that I can order. Wine list is quite nice.“
“My girlfriend and I went to our second Valentine's dinner here last week. Not many places can pull off Valentines Day like Bistro 45 does. Everything came out timely and up to their usual standards. “Flavorful food and great cocktails in an Orleans-vibe atmosphere. I had the braised chicken with peanut sauce. It was super tender. Why can't I carmelize sweet potatoes that good? Husband had jalapeño flank steak. The angel biscuit was straight out of the oven. OMG.“
“This place is like a wayyyyy better Panera with delicious sandwiches and salads. Also a lot of veggie options and customization in the app. This will become a fairly regular place for us after recent visits. The tofu banh mi is awesome and the salads have so much great tasting and healthy stuff in them. The Japanese chili dressing should be bottled! Definitely try this spot out.“
“Historical Pasadena restaurant that some people forget about. I hadn’t been here for years until this evening. I’d give 5 stars, but my pork chop was dry and little overcooked. Everything else was wonderful, including the drinks. It’s very intimate inside, but as the restaurant fills up it gets quite loud. The patio is covered and heated, but you may find yourself having to talk over the nearby tables or road noise. Valet parking only, $8 at the time of this review. There is street parking available on Fair Oaks though.“
“Amazing food, ambiance, wine, and staff! Tucked away on Holly St., a few blocks over from Colorado. Old town local vibe. Super chill. I've been trying new restaurants in the area and decided to pop in early on a Fri nite. Got a seat at the counter overlooking the chef preparing all the meals. Ordered a rose, very tasty. Short ribs with mash potatoes. Amazing! I will definitely be back to try more things. Highly recommend. We really don't have anything like this in Pasadena.“

The salads (burrata and caesar) at AltaEats were a standout, offering fresh and flavorful combinations. Make sure to the delicious bacon-wrapped dates; a delightful blend of sweet and savory. The rib eye was okay. It didn't quite live up to our expectations. The bread & butter and pot de creme were both delicious. We fought over the lest bits of the desert. The service was a mixed. One waitress, notably wearing a provocative necklace, left much to be desired in terms of friendliness and professionalism. On the other hand, the second waitress provided exceptional service, going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience AltaEats offers a culinary adventure with standout dishes and a mix of service experiences. “Pasadena and downtown this last fortnight. Nostagic deliciousness @parkwaygrill, peerless steaks. Returning there for the fourth time - our first visit was in 1994. Last night we enjoyed @majordomola . Koreanish food, at it's best generous and full flavoured. Standouts include the pork shoulder, duck confit rice and the flambe(d) doughnuts.Next time we'll try their signature rib dish too. Take an appetite and lots of family. Also loved Houstons. “I once had a bad experience at the Burbank location. However this place seems to have gotten their act together. The food was fine a little small but fine. But the drinks, drink menu and bartenders were impressive. Attentive bartenders despite the ample size of this place. Knowledgeable too. I had 2 penicillins and a Hemingway daiquiri. My associate had a sidecar bourbon and wine. I've had drinks at the bar and outside where the bartenders open up a window and you are served from the outside. Pretty cool“
“Shared a pizza and salad with a friend…the food was totally delicious! The venue is very cozy and friendly. The wait staff were extremely attentive.Parking: Arrived for an early lunch at 11am, and parking in the parking garage was plentiful. The elevator took us close to the restaurant.Validation is available for restaurant customers. With validation, I ended up not having to pay for parking, even after enjoying a leisurely lunch with my friend.“

“One of our favorite steak restaurants to celebrate special occasions. Must go on Tuesdays for their tomahawk Tuesday meal deal. Service is always on point and great atmosphere at this location. You know those fancy restaurants that have one or two bites of food and some swirled sauces on the plate for presentation… welp, this was a version of that.Portions were ridiculously small almost angry worthy.The food quality and flavor is good but cmon, 4 pieces of tofu? In an Italian restaurant?Beet salad with literally one slice of beet and 1.5 bites of cabbage?It was like getting served after dinner mint sized portions for your actual meal.Server was nice, I’d give a 4 out of 5 since he did not follow up at all after the initial order or check on drinks.Oh and an automatic 20% gratuity on the check.All in all the food is tasty, service is good by today’s lower standards, but the price to value ratio is -5 starsBut hey if you’re on a diet, this is the place to go!!! 5 bites and your whole meal is done!!Might be worth a chance to try again on a regular menu and dining evening…we’ll see“
“This place has a wonderful atmosphere, especially if you can snag a seat on the patio. The fresh air and (presumably) lovely weather make for a relaxing dining experience. “This place is pretty good as far as hot chicken goes. It's not the best but it's decent, I've ordered from here plenty of times. But Rays is still at the top. They don't really have much of a space for sitting in and dining. So if you want to eat you need to go down one of the nearby alleyways and sit at the tables there.“
“A little mom and pop down an alley in Pasadena. Great ambience, the menu is amazing with a wide variety for different palettes. The cocktail menu is extensive, and our server, Dana (who is amazing) recommended several drinks that I absolutely loved. The service from Dana was exceptional and the live music was incredible. “Seriously the greatest roast chicken I've ever had in my life. I usually am pretty squeamish in regards to eating around the bones, cartilage, etc, but this chicken (and the 32 spices seasoning) had me going to town. Absolutely addicting. As for the service, it is run by a lovely couple with a no nonsense attitude. When asking for recommendations, the man simple replied "they're all good," and after eating the #2 I wouldn't be surprised. Give it a shot, and see for yourself!“
“This was my first time at the Raymond. I subtracted 1 star for service. It wasn't bad, just could be polished up a tad. Plates were left on the table between courses necessitating the server to clear them. The food was very good. It's not fine dining—does not pretend to be so—it's more akin to the casera vibe. It's as if you were eating at a friend's home, albeit a friend that really knows how to cook. We sampled the chicken and the pork chop. The chicken was outstanding. As we all know, chicken is a challenging protein to cook perfectly. And it was. It arrived hot and juicy and expertly seasoned. My comment on the pork is only representing my own flavor profile; I found it to be needing a bit more pan sauce. And, for me, the Dijon mustard came on a bit too strong and overwhelmed the delicacy of the subtle pork flavor. We really enjoyed the ambience. Both outside and inside were a comfortable environment to enjoy a nice, un rushed meal. We will return.“

“Had a really great dinner at Yard House before AGT! Me and my company were not from LA so we were very glad to pick Yard House before our main event that evening. Poke nachos were soooo good. As well as my main the sandwich with truffle fries. Drinks were amazing as well and would 100% come back here. The bar is most likely the highlight of yard house as it was long , glowing, and very welcoming. Drinks looked really good. Me and my company sat in a booth but it was worth the money spent included with the service , food , and atmosphere. Thanks yard house for a delicious meal before a big show!“
“This is our favorite go to place in the neighborhood The food is always delicious and a little adventuresome. The chef likes to change up the menu frequently and there are some favorites that are always there. I love the tuna tartare tacos. But he also makes duck confit, bouillabaise, bone marrow. Their happy hour is great where you can have a taste of lots of fabulous small plates. If you like oysters, there is always a selection of very fresh offerings. Love this place!!“
“I came here for the first time after a local concert with friends , it was live rock en espanol night and definitely the perfect spot to end the night ! Carlos was an amazing bartender, showed the best hospitality from beginning to end . A very fun and safe place to come down and enjoy some music , dance , enjoy some good drinks or even watch the big screen . Nowadays hard to find attentive employees so definitely worth paying this place a visit and giving this bartender a chance of showing you what great customer service is all about! Great grub (I had the fish and chips, and next trip had a burger), nice variety of local micro beers on tap. “It looks like a fast food restaurant, but the food is way better. There is a buffet-style line, but your selected food choices are served to you, thankfully on porcelain dishes, not on plastic or styrofoam. The only plastic items I saw were the water tumblers. There is a good amount of tables and chairs in the restaurant; so, no problem finding a seat. That may be different during the week when the lunch crowd comes in.“

“It was our first time there the waitress that helped us was very friendly and nice. I don’t remember her name otherwise I would stated here, but she was working on a Tuesday morning and she was also doing the bar. The food was delicious and her hospitality was very welcoming. I think it made the experience even better. Since it was our first time there she offered To give us garlic bread on the house, that was really nice of her. I’m definitely gonna come back and I will be referring friends and family. By the way, I had the short rib and the brisket with mac & cheese. The brisket was very good, but oh my God the short rib was amazing next time I’ll definitely be getting that again and I might just try the load of baked potato too“
