“I unfortunately traveled from L.A on July 6th only to find out they were closed. There was a sign but would have appreciated notification online prior to the trip. I didn't call because they don't answer phone calls ?.No worries..still love and will visit again.“

“This place is delicious. The price for a breakfast burrito is relatively cheap. The salsa is also delicious. The staff is fun if you speak Spanish (which I do). I put 4 stars because of price, food taste, and the experience I had there. Even the restroom was clean. I would go back and eat there again hands down.

The only downside is the flies that fly around. They don't land on your food but they do just like to land on the table.“

“I've been in this area for years, and never thought to try Islands. My employment decided to have lunch there. The staff was very polite, I ordered the Big Wave burger. It was cooked to perfection. It was absolutely GREAT!. Sorry it took me so long to try it. But I will be back for sure.“

“An unassuming place with very tasty, fairly priced food, B-Man's still got it. Just got a chicken curry bowl, spam musubi, steamed veggies, and an order of fries. I wanted a feast! You know, I love spam musubis and I COMPLETELY forgot that this place has The Best spam musubis. Their grilling of the spam is awesome and their reasonable use of teriyaki sauce really let's you taste it. The chicken curry was as rich as I remember.

Also, I'm very happy I didn't have to pay $8 for a single musubi, unlike some places.

“Very good! Came here on a Sunday night and I was surprised that it was a little slow considering that the food was very fresh and great tasting. The burgers were very juicy considering it was a smash burger but still very delicious. The tater tots were very crispy and fresh. The Sriracha mayo and curry ketchup with fries/tator tots went well too. Also there was plenty of seating and it was nice to have food delivered to one’s table. I will definitely come back :)“

Back for a pastrami dip and an orange blast, wow. This is a must visit whenever I'm in town!
The place is a real blast from the past, they don't do it like this much any more. I want to try some other sandwiches but I can't pass up that pastrami!!!“

“Let me tell you bout charbroiled burgers . This spot in particular makes THE BEST western bacon cheeseburger, along with everything else on the menu. But hands down best charbroiled in town.

“First time visit long time passer by, glad I had an excuse to be in the area and give them a try. Came in and the place was looking clean and ready for service. I asked the staff for some suggestions and it was the right call. Really like the old town dog. Going to try some of the other stuff next time.“

Startlingly, you'll also find it's almost empty on a Friday night. Its proximity to horrible Colorado Blvd dive bars with DTLA rooftop bar prices should make this place a gem, but folks haven't made the trek across Central Park to discover it despite it being so rewarding to do so. No better nightcap destination with the homies in Old Town.“

“It's Jack's place! what's to say? Not allot of atmosphere, their food is OK, some good, like my love of Jack's tacos? I can't say why I like them, I just do!! I was surprised though this last trip thru, a lady sitting inside asked if I'd like a coupon for a sandwich, so I tried a Cluck sandwich, SURPRISE!! I liked it a lot, actually pretty tasty chicken sandwich. Good size piece of breast meat, cheese and dressing on a bun, yum!“

“The food was delicious, but the service was excellent. The gentleman who took my order was the best! After I placed an order, wanted to change it and he was so kind and understanding. And when I couldn't get exactly what I wanted, he added extras for me without charging me. I can tell they just want their customers to be happy. Great place!
