So for my last night with My Dad before headed home we decided to give this place a try. It's a walk up window order and pick up inside if staying or can get to go outside window as well. 50's diner style. Me and my dad got #12 Turkey Grinder combo and a #14 Roast beef dip combo comes with fries and a drink. Service was good and attentive, Very friendly. My Turkey was good I really enjoyed. Bread was really fresh to me. My dad's he enjoyed I tried it and was very tender meat. Fries were fresh and salted just right and being crispy. We both enjoyed very much . I will be back soon to try more stuff when down to visit .

“I've come to this location so many times over the years and it's always been consistently good. I usually just use the drive thru but the service is always fast. Ambiance in this area is ok, due to the PCC being nearby and it helping the area be good. The food itself is always fantastic. The Big Carl is like a Big Mac, but better (and I am a huge Big Mac enthusiast). The limited-edition churro milkshake is fantastic btw, please give it a try if it's still available by the time you read this.“

“Shoutout to the employees at Five Guys Pasadena on Lake. Just wanted to praise the employees for being the upstanding and professional people they are. Dropped my wallet full of cash there last night. Went home and didn’t realize til this morning that I didn’t have it in my pocket… Long story short, they found it in the dining area, locked it up overnight,and it was there safe and sound when I called the next morning. Praise God, and praise the young lady who found it and kept it safe. I’m certainly no influencer, but If you are in Pasadena and nearby, please consider giving them some business. “Jack in the Box is located at 1415 East Colorado Boulevard Pasadena California 91106. Sitting on the corner of Hill and East Colorado Boulevard it is very visible when driving or walking. Open 24 hours a day, it has both sit down and drive-thru service.

Jack in the Box advertised a lot on TV and flyers. There is always a special available. These are very good deals most
of the time. I was surprised at the excellent service that I received when ordering. The staff member explained the different selections and options that were available. I put in my final order and sat and waited for my number to be called. After about 10 minutes I was handed a bag filled with my order and was on my way home. It was a nice day and I enjoyed the walk in this scenic area across from PCC.

When I got home I was able to unpack my carefully wrapped order. I was eager to try the egg rolls first. They were crunchy full of flavor and larger than I had expected. Dipping sauce was not even necessary. The sweet sour sauce did add an extra touch. Two tacos were next on my list. They were thin, individually packed, and tasty.

The Bacon Ultimate Cheeseburger was as advertised…great flavor and fresh grilled taste. I was impressed. It did not look like a fast food burger.

The Home Style Ranch Chicken Club had a crisp chicken texture. The chicken filet was thick and filled with flavor. The bacon was crisp and cooked to my specification.

This is a great place with a lot of combinations for food. I like that they paid close attention to the details of each part of my order. I will be back to try some of their other specials.“

“Today was PI Day and the place was super busy. They still managed to move the lines quickly and friendly . The only thing is they gave me the wrong pizzas and I had to return them . The manager Vanessa was great at taking care of the issue and treated me very politely . They were able to remake the pizzas very quickly and beyond that . I appreciate her management skills and leadership .“

“Stopped in to see what was new at Subway. I went later in the day and it was not that busy. I asked the staff member what was new and he gave me a few details on the new sandwiches available. The chicken, bacon, ranch was my first choice. The spicy Italian melt was my second 6-in sandwich. I liked being able to select the bread to be used. I think I will enjoy the Monterey cheddar with the CBR sub and the herb Italian with the hotshot Italian sub. I also ordered some potato chips. There was a great selection of sandwich enhancements such as tomatoes, onions, tomatoes, peppers, etc. I collected my meal and after about 5 minutes I was on my way home. I was impressed with how nice and accommodating the clerk was.

There is street parking as well as a parking lot behind this location. Very convenient to PCC campus.

Look forward to my next visit, and a chance to try some other items on the menu. The desserts sound good!“

“We stopped by Baja Fresh one evening while in the area. I hadn't been to a Baja Fresh for years since the one near our house closed. But it used to be our go-to place for great burritos. My favorite was the Baja Burrito, so I decided to order one on my recent visit. It was just as good as I remembered. I got mine with mixed meats (chicken and steak) and didn't regret that decision. The protein, guacamole, and pico de gallo worked together to create a very tasty burrito. On the downside, the restaurant appeared to be working with a skeleton crew, with one counter service person and one cook. But they were efficient and the quality of the food did not suffer. I enjoyed my visit and would drop in again when in the area“

“This is a solid location. Parking is good, service and food is great. Incorrect orders are rare, and I have never had a good quality issue, over a 10+ year period.

I like the menu way more, and the food is less processed than Taco Bell.“

“This was my first time having Ben's and my first time visiting a ghost kitchen. There's limited street parking in front of the kitchen, and there's parking on the side at the former Rite Aid lot. When your food is ready for pickup, pull up your email confirmation to scan at one of the kiosks/screens inside the ghost kitchen. A woman brought my food up once I scanned my email confirmation.

As for the food, it all tasted good and fresh. It's a healthy and reasonably priced fast food option. I had the chicken hearty bowl with a side of chickpeas and potatoes. All of it was so good.

The only reason I removed a star was the tiny portion of chicken I received with my bowl. Other than that, I'd definitely try this place out again.“

If you are in Altadena and craving sushi, this is a great local place to grab it.

“Kevin and I stopped at this Jack in the Box on our way to Chantry Flat for a picnic lunch date, and it ended up being the perfect quick stop!

We placed a mobile order and chose drive-thru pickup, and everything was ready in under 5 minutes. The process was fast, convenient, and seamless ideal when you’re heading out for a day in the mountains.

The food was hot, fresh, and delicious, and the customer service was wonderful. This location is right next to the on-ramp, making it incredibly convenient and only about a 4-minute detour from our route.

Even after the drive up to Chantry Flat, our food was still warm, which made for the perfect picnic at the scenic Chantry Flat picnic tables.

If you’re looking for a quick and reliable fast food stop near Chantry Flat or along your route, this Jack in the Box is a fantastic choice.

I'm a regular at this location. Their new Dynamite - Sweet & Sour Chicken is well worth the drive. Service is always great, the store is always pristine and they're in a prime location (right on Lake Av) which helps a lot with ambiance and traffic into this store in general. I think all Panda Express locations I've been to are amazing in their own right, but this one stands out in particular for its commitment to excellence. 10/10

SEPT 2025 REVIEW:

I've been to this location several times since I've lived in Pasadena for the past 3 and a half years. The classic top-rated American Chinese fast food that they're well-known for can be found here. The portions are not as generous as some other hole-in-the-wall American Chinese fast food places but there is definitely quality to be found here. The limited-edition Hot Orange Chicken is a must have if you read this review and they still have it available. Beijing Beef is another go-to entree and we cannot forget about the Honey Sesame Chicken Breast or the Honey Walnut Shrimp. All of them highly recommend.“
