This was my 3rd time and each time just keeps getting better; definitely the bigger the party, the better. We paid $225 for 4 pasta entrees, 3 appetizers, & 2 glasses of wine for a party of 6. I’ve learned to like my pastas al dente after having them here. The meatballs are banging, the wine-pairing was delightful. Our service was attentive and pleasant; the vibe is always vibrant and homey. Highly recommended.“

“I'm not sure what the employees name is but he showed me a true act of kindness! It was 108 degrees outside and I was dangerously close to having a heat stroke! I was about to black out when I got to the window and the Young man working blessed me with a cup and a bottle of cold water! He showed a total stranger (a homeless stranger at that) that there is still kindness and kind people in the world! So please whoever should read this, go and support this business! We need more people like that young man in our community“

“I came across this sushi bar by accident! I was trying to go eat Mexican food a couple doors down and they were closed. What a fabulous surprise. The sushi is super fresh. The rolls were interesting and totally delicious. I will definitely be back! I love that they have a back door also because it’s very convenient for the parking. I can’t sit here and look you in the eye and tell you I value parking validation as much as I do delicious waffles, but middle age makes a confounding creature out of all of us and so here I am saying it’s darn close. Anyway, if you’re looking for waffles near old town, or if you’re somewhere else and have a reasonable means of transport to Old Town, or if you’re just sort of having this debate theoretically and have no practical waffle-procuring intentions, Russell’s is your spot.“

“Absolutely amazing! We loved Sahara so much that we came back twice during our 6-day trip to LA.

The food is incredibly fresh, delicious and truly homemade. The grilled meats were amazing, especially the kebab, honestly one of the best BBQ meals I’ve had.

The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming. They recommended the mixed platter instead of ordering too much food, and it was the perfect choice. They even gave us baklava as a little gift when we left. ❤ Special thanks to Cindy, who was absolutely wonderful and made us feel at home.

And excuse the not-so-pretty photos 😂 the food was so good that both times I completely forgot to take pictures and only remembered when we had already eaten almost everything!

“Visited Bistro 45 for the first time tonight to celebrate my husband and my 15th anniversary after reading positive reviews. The food and service were exceptional. Every dish was cooked perfection and was super flavorful. The gazpacho was so complex and delicious. The calamari was so tender with the most unctuous spicy tomato ragu. My chicken and my husband’s pasta were both stunning. And the pineapple upside down tart with coconut gelato was unbelievably good. They made a special presentation of our dessert to celebrate our anniversary too. Our waiter was funny and attentive, and the owner made a personal visit to our table at least twice. This was possibly one of the best meals my husband and I have had in years. We cannot wait to return.“

“Stumbled upon this place after googling Cajun food in Pasadena. Looked good so I went in. Food was great. They are not breaking new ground on unexplored culinary territory or anything, it’s southern, but it’s done well, quite well actually. Everything had loads of flavour, the fried chicken was salty and wonderful. The bbq shrimp was pumped up with creole seasoning. The angel biscuit was a nice and fluffy biscuit, pretty good, but I found myself wishing it was as served with some honey butter or some sweet element. Salty honey butter would be great. Oh and great prices on the food too.

The service was fine, friendly, attentive, etc.
the restaurant was very bustling too, I swear everyone in there was yelling, made it quite hard to talk to the people I was in town seeing. But oh well. You can talk after.

“We had a great dining experience at Urban Plates in Long Beach. Mariana explained the menu choices in a very unrushed manner, and we decided on the steak. I ordered the Chimichurri grass-fed steak with balsamic brussel sprouts and herb-roasted potatoes. All of it was delicious ( and healthy too!). The deserts were absolutely killer too. We will definitely eat here again next time we're in Long Beach.“

“Handel's is an excellent place to get great tasting ice cream. I prefer, however, their Hollywood location over this one in Pasadena. At least in Hollywood, you can taste test. The size of the ice cream scoops were smaller here and merrier than at the Hollywood one we frequent. Overall, still a positive, yummy experience. ✨“

“We drive 35 miles at least three times a month to eat here. We love Home State and as a Native Texan, I can attest that their queso is the real deal!!! I recommend the plain ones to maximize their crispiness. The pizza was great, with our favorite aspect being the crispy, cheesy, crust. The place had jazz music playing in the background, which gave a nice calming atmosphere to our meal. If you're looking for a chill pizza joint with great wings, I'd recommend Fuji's and Vi's Pizza 100%.“

“My daughter took her dad here for father's day. It was a great vibe, we sat outdoors, they had tv so he could watch the word cup. The food and drink orders came out in pretty quickly. I had the wings in hot honey bbq, my husband had the meatball sub which came with fries and our daughter had a 10 inch pizza, which took longer but the freshness, flavor, and quality of the meal was there.“
