“Was in the neighborhood and saw this place so we went and tried it. The place is located in the Blossom Market Place next to San Gabriel Mission. There is plenty of parking off the street or public parking lots. Now to the foods. We ordered the jerk chicken and the curry chicken with rice and the famous Jamaican beef patty(their version of empanadas). The Jerk chicken was good but not enough robust flavor compares to other Jamaican restaurants. The curry chicken was good but again, way to water down for preference. However, the beef patty was tasty and made fresh as you order them. Wish that the crust could be a bit more crispy. Order at the counter and pick up your food or wait about 10 minutes pending on how busy they are. It’s a bit pricey for all the entrees.“

“I enjoy coming here when my partner and I can't agree one something. I wish the seating was more comfortable and the less cramped together but there usually is somewhere to sit. The cleaning staff is always quick to clear tables and manage trash and dishes. Even at its busiest there is usually plenty of parking.“

“Great food and amazing service!
Parking is super easy since it’s located in a huge plaza.
I got here around 11:00 AM and waited in line for about 20 minutes. The line was mostly filled with older people speaking Cantonese, which told me right away that this place is super authentic!
The Beef Chow Fun is super flavorful and comes in a huge portion.
Their $12.99 breakfast combo is also a great deal with a huge portion—though it's pretty much pure carbs! And the best part is they still let you order it even after the breakfast hours.
You also get free refills on the Hong Kong style milk tea, and you can even take it to go for free. The iced version is the best, especially in the summer!
Unlike a lot of other places where the food is good but the service is terrible, the staff here is incredibly welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend!“

“Tried Vege Valley Restaurant recently and honestly it was a good surprise. I’m not even strictly vegetarian but the food was really flavorful and fresh. Ordered noodles and a veggie dish both were well cooked and not too oily, which I liked.
The place is simple perfect for a relaxed meal. Service was quick and staff were polite. Pricing also feels reasonable for the portion size.
Only small issue was parking, took a bit of time to find a spot. But overall definitely worth visiting if you want healthy and tasty veg food.“

“This place is a hidden gem. Unpretentious atmosphere and Japanese comfort food. Udons, ramen and my favorite... curry spaghetti! Its so delicious, I get a craving to go here fairly often. They make the curry in house, and its to die for. Staff is great and apart from the strip mall parking being full sometimes, there's really no down side.“

“Best Honey Green tea in all Southern CA. Actually, better than the ones in Taiwan. They spare no cost in using only the best quality tea and ingredients. Once you tried theirs, you can’t go to other places anymore. Many of their bread like the red bean bun is a must try and the birthday cakes are always freshly made daily and not too sweet. They also have full sheet part tray fruit cake that are cut into 96 slices, best for large parties or events. Highly underrated and a hidden gem!“

“I googled "best Chinese in LA" and then this popped up as the #1 place. So we drove - and had a very good meal. However, if you expect the classic Chinese dishes, you will be disappointed. This is Shezuan, "a different animal". So no rice, no sweet-and-sour-this-and-that. So be prepared for very spicy Szechuan food. Noodles. No rice. Try the dumplings, they were delicious. We ordered mild (1 out of 5 spice degrees) and we were burning inside (we had two separate orders of dumplings - but spice grade 1. There is no consistency, so be careful). So if spicy is what you are "in" for, you'll love it. The ambiance is sort of authentic ;-) - the sign on how to use the toilet (outside the restaurant in the alley) says more than words. But then, it was $100 all-in for the four of us only. My advice: I could barely understand the service language. Better check the menu before you go. As we were first-timers, I wanted to share three starters and three mains among the four of us and leave it up to the waitress to make us explore - she did not understand. I asked if they served beer. The answer was "noodles or dumplings". :-)“

“Array 36 is a solid choice for high end Chinese food in Los Angeles. While most of the dishes are Shanghainese, there are many good choices from other cuisines, including Peking duck. The ambience is modern, with dark lighting, so definitely not what you typically find in your Chinese restaurant in the US.We like it particularly for hosting guests, Chinese and non-Chinese alike.“

“Back in October, my friends and I spent a month vacation in Vietnam and we were introduced to Com Tam. We wanted to see if King Com Tam Vietnamese Restaurant is as authentic as we had in Vietnam.
Com tam - Vietnamese broken rice is rice that was broken during the milling process. If you're unfamiliar, broken rice has a couscous-like texture. The broken rice plate options might seem extensive, but it's just rice with various combinations of pork chop, beef, pork, fried bean curd with shrimp paste, egg roll, sausage, shredded pork and skin, and steamed egg loaf. All served with veggies, a small bowl of broth, and fish dipping sauce. The plates run from $12.99 to $20.99 for the 10-item plate. If you don't see exactly the plate combination you're looking for, you can just tell the waiter which items you want and they'll charge accordingly. Just ask if you can swap items.
Not Vietnam authentic, but then again I am no expert but definitely satisfied our cravings and brought back memories of our month long trip. We loved it so much that a month ago during the rainy weather that we went back so we can try the noodle soup/pho. The portions were generous for around $13.99 a bowl. I was craving Bun bo Hue, Vietnamese spicy beef noodle soup and my friends ordered beef pho and hu tieu, a Vietnamese Phnom Penh-style seafood noodle soup with pork and shrimp. It was good but I've had better.
Service was good. The ambiance and presentation is spot on.“

“Overall decent place for Korean Home Food. The Bibim Nangmyeon was good. But the namesake Yuk Gae Jang is just OK. Not bad. Not great. It happens to be one of my fave Korean dishes. So I try it everywhere. Hodori / Myung Ga / Gamjagol ranked higher for me.“

“I love the two Summer Rolls locations in Temple City already and this one adds another dimension to their restaurants. The first one is traditional, well the second one has a bar and a cool vibe, and this one feels a little bit more elevated. Service was good, food was excellent as usual, but it isn't a busy plaza we're parking can be a little bit of a challenge. I think the location is also good simply because it's near the mission district area. I have met the owners and they are very hard-working people and I really do enjoy talking to you the owner that heads up the Rosemead location who strives to remember your name and always greets people enthusiastically.“

“Very popular Vietnamese restaurant. We got there about 11 am on a Friday and it was almost full. 10 min later the people had to sign up on the waitlist. The size of the pho noodles is huge. The flavor of the broth was good. They charge 3% more if paid by credit card.“

“Came here to try a new Thai spot after going to President Thai down the street for years and wanting something different. We ordered from the dinner menu, which comes with soup or salad, egg rolls or wontons, and white rice or shrimp fried rice, a great value.
I got the chicken pad Thai and everything was so flavorful and delicious. My boyfriend ordered the yellow curry and it was absolutely amazing, rich and creamy with a coconut base that honestly reminded me of my mom’s Vietnamese curry.
The owner was also incredibly kind and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal. Such a welcoming experience. We’ll definitely be back soon!“

“Red Chicken Thai is a small corner Thai food spot in San Gabriel Valley. They have a breadth of food and drink items. Its interior was modest with little to no aesthetic decor.
However, the atmosphere was relaxing for customers. Their dining area have 8 tables that can accommodate thirty people. It was my first time visit and I had a default Pad Woon Sen x Iced Lemon tea. Both are good in taste, flavor and portion. Service was spot on as well as the price (affordable). Staff was competent and attentive. Plenty of street and rear parking. Collectively, this is a good Thai spot.
Overall, I had a good experience and enjoyed their food.“

“The front desk experience has been consistently frustrating.
The young lady there appears inattentive and unsure of the process. Even after joining the Yelp waitlist ahead of time, we're left standing without explanation for 5-10 minutes each visit until another staff member takes over and seats us.
The lack of coordination at the entrance gives the impression that no one is actually managing the line properly.
Fortunately, the rest of the staff are warm and professional, and the hot pot options are solid.“

“Great food. Great staff. Huge portions. Open late nights til 2am takeout only, walk up ordering is fine. Great for a quick fix after a night out
Got the popcorn chicken, mozz sticks, and yogurt slush. Tbh popcorn chicken is slightly tough and bland. Slush is a lil watery. Overall though can’t complain at this time of night and these portion sizes!!“

“Hidden hot pot gem – $33.88 AYCE and actually good
This place has been around for over a decade, right by the TAWA plaza.
We got there right when they opened in the afternoon, and the place filled up almost instantly. Most people seemed like regulars.
$33.88 gets you AYCE hot pot + a buffet station + sauces. Same price on weekends, and they don't charge extra for broth. The soup base is surprisingly good – has that nourishing, slightly herbal vibe. Reminded me of the old Little Sheep.
Plenty of options. Lamb and beef are a must – fresh. The pork intestine gets super soft and sticky after a quick boil – I wanted a second plate. The buffet had sesame balls, spring rolls, piggy buns, fries, edamame… the cha siu bao actually tasted like dim sum from a cart.
We also ordered scallion pancake on the side – super crispy. Almost asked for another one to take home.
Service speed is probably the fastest I've seen for AYCE. Food comes quick. Open till midnight – great for late-night cravings. And if you're staying at the Hilton? Literally across the street.“

“I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews. This is a Subway, and if you want a quick, cheap sandwich you should stop by.
I've never had to wait too long for my sandwiches. I haven't tried everything, but my favorites are the ones made with rotisserie chicken and Italian cold cut meats.
Their chocolate chip cookies hit the spot.
The only drawback: parking isn't easy here. It's located in a plaza, so lots of traffic. Sometimes you won't get parking space easily.
Also, they seem to keep raising their prices.
I'll be back whenever I get a Subway craving!“

“Tried New Golden Soup for their $12 lunch entree deals (at the time of this review) on Mother's Day. All pictured but the scallop (fantastic flavor) were part of the deal. I thought, for the price and portion size (we had 4 people in our group), everything was solid and my fave dish was the salt and pepper shrimp which I typically have high standards for.
However, my family won't go back for the following: our chicken clay pot (I forgot to snag a photo) was undercooked. I'm sure the holiday rush was a factor. They reheated the food for us but that was a deal breaker for my family.
I went straight at opening (11 am) got a table and was served right away. I'm glad we did because the restaurant got swamped a half an hour later. Really hard to get any staffer's attention after that, which I get. Food was good, until the clay pot!“

“We love this no frill HK BBQ cafe. The auntie that works here makes you feel right at home, including the home-y flavors. The food is not over-seasoned or heavy on MSG. We thoroughly enjoyed the roast duck here, light and moist. Additionally, everything is well-priced so we look forward to trying more dishes next time. Oh, and like all good Asian hosts, they bring you freshly cut fruit at the end of your meal!“

“Ordered for pick up a few times to avoid cooking during busy days.
Parking is very difficult during rush hour times for dinner specially. But I’m always glad they always have my food ready by 25 mins. They’re a casual dine in or takeout spot inside the plaza which shares parking with many other restaurants. You could technically park underneath in the underground parking lot for free if you’re going to dine in.
** Tonkotsu ramen - thin noodles. Broth isn’t salty but it’s oily. Flavors are ok - not my favorite out of all ramen places.
** Rice bowls: Small size but great for quick bites where you probably want to add some veggies to your dinner.
* Karaage rice bowl - nice and crunchy tasty chicken pieces - with loads of nori strips
* Chasu rice bowl - tasty and comes with half an egg! 🍳
* Takoyaki - tasty 5 pieces - soft on the inside - small pieces of octopus 🐙
Next - I’m coming back for the dipping ramen!“

“Came here with a group of five for dinner on a Saturday evening, and the timing worked out. There was no wait so we were able to settle in and enjoy a proper family-style feast pretty quick.
We ordered several of their popular dishes, including the lobster with noodles, basil clams, and plenty more. Everything was flavorful, satisfying, and made for a family style meal. The lobster and noodles were definitely worth getting a little shellfish over. Also, highly recommend the fermented greens. Simple, savory, and surprisingly addictive.
