Was in the area visiting for some work happened to be staying at a hotel across the road.....and got really excited when I first arrived and noticed this Kee Wah Bakery directly across the road! For me, I had always known Kee Wah for their moon cakes and that's it, but I heard that they made fresh egg tarts too, so there was no way I was going to pass up a good egg tart! Growing up in Hong Kong, Kee Wah Bakery was a household name. I remember eating lots of their cakes and baked bread as a kid. Every time I'm in Los Angeles, I always try to pick up a few items before heading back to Sacramento.I really enjoy their handmade cookies, black sesame eggrolls (wafer rolls), and mango short cake. The ladies are always nice when I visit and everything is good. I really like the curry bun, baked cha siu bao and pineapple custard buns especially.
