“I’ve been to the DTLA Arts District location so many times, so I was shocked (in the best way) to discover this one so close to home. The space is modern, clean, and has a cool vibe — though I still lean toward the unique Arts District atmosphere. What really stands out is the pizza: same incredible quality as DTLA. Blindfold me and I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.

The only thing to keep in mind is that pizza by the slice can add up — if you’re thinking of grabbing more than two, a fresh pie might be the smarter move. Either way, I’m thrilled to have another amazing spot nearby!“

“If you haven't been to the The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens for a while... you may not realize they now and growing have 5 different locations to eat within the gardens. Noodle house in the Chinese Gardens, Tea house and patio Cafe in the Rose Garden area. Tea Room now allows you to make reservations on Open Table. Cafe 1919 has a great variety including the Border Grill, Sushi and much more. ... Its all a great compliment to the Fine Art ,gardens ,research and events.... Not a member - The Red Car Cafe and 1919 Cafe are towards the entrance and can be enjoyed by the without entrance fee to the gardens in a great relaxing setting .“

“Villa's Tacos were amazing! and I'm not saying this just because of the hype of the Super Bowl. I'm saying this because I mean it. The tacos were just amazing to me. Not your regular everywhere tacos. These tacos were homemade recipes. I had the carne asada, pork with potato (puerco con papa) & beans with cactus (frijoles con nopal). It's a week later that I tried these tacos and I can't stop talking about them. My favorite was the beans with cactus. Soooo good. Also, the atmosphere was just so nice and lively. I truly enjoyed every minute of my visit here. Thank you Villa's Tacos, we will return.“

“Had a great meal here before a show at the Paramount. My husband had fajitas and I had the potato dish with added rosemary potatoes 🤩. I couldn’t finish mine - very filling but absolutely delicious. The proprietor is welcoming and helpful. We will definitely return and I will make more sensible choices!“

“This place fricken rocks, it honestly made my wife and I consider moving down to LA! We're both motorcycle riders so seeing the whole place be themed around that lifestyle was very creative and attractive. Even if you're not a rider, this is a really fun and cool spot. Very fun dishes and drinks, various forms of seating for eating and drinking (outdoor/indoor), and there's lots to simply look at so you may finish your meal and meander around to look at all the neat motorcycle paraphernalia scattered throughout the room.

The food was delicious American-fare, the service was attentive, the drinks are high-quality, the prices are reasonable. The area it's in...ehhh I wouldn't walk here if I could avoid it, there's not too much nearby worth visiting. Oh, and it's dog friendly! They even have meals for your pooch if you feel inclined. Our dogs loved their homemade dog treats and enjoyed their provided water bowl.

Definitely a spot we'll go back to, and if we move to LA we're guaranteed joining them on one of their monthly rides! We also bought a couple motorcycle shirts for our rides. Easily my favorite spot in the area.“

“My first time sitting at a sushi bar and I absolutely loved it! The atmosphere was great, and watching the chefs prepare everything right in front of you made the experience even more fun. I got to try all kinds of sushi, from fatty tuna and yellowtail to raw shrimp, and everything was fresh and delicious. The server was funny and that made the experience even better. 🍣😊“

“This food pulled me out of my depression. I'm so serious. I tend to fight with myself about what to eat for lunch and dinner, how much to spend, and if I should order in or eat what I have at home. I just gave in and ordered delivery, and ended up with one of the best meals I've had in a long time. I got the plantains, the oxtail patty, and the wings. Those flavors thrilled me. I was shocked at how good each new thing was. I've since had it a few more times. My only complaint is that the shrimp roti isn't as good as it could be. My shrimp were over cooked, and the flavor is missing something. My favorite has been the pepper goat roti. BABY! That is about to be a problem for my wallet. What a delicious creation. What a beautiful restaurant. Glad it exists.

“After our Altadena house burned down, we relocated to Barker Block and absolutely love being so close to Manuela. We used to have a fire table like yours, so dining here always carries a sense of home. Last night we brought friends, and they said, ‘This makes it hard to go out to eat in Monrovia—our restaurants cut corners with cheap ingredients and fast turnover.’ What your chefs create is the opposite: dishes with not just incredible flavor but extraordinary texture and detail. Their expertise is off the charts, and I highly recommend.“

The wax beans were a standout - snappy and bright with serrano chile, toasted hazelnuts, and a tangy Frenchie vinaigrette. “Totally worth the 70 minute drive. Delicious food and great Taiwanese hospitality. Friendly, attentive staff and wonderful atmosphere. Minced Pork (Lu-Rou) Rice, fully loaded delicious stewed pork with egg. Meats are juicy and tender, kinda on the sweet side. Clamshell bun (Gua Bao) comes with tender thick cut pork, a bit on the salty side, but very well cooked. Fatty but not greasy. Thousand layer pancake with egg and basil was crispy and flaky. The basil flavor is a wonderful addition. Scallion bread sandwich was what we expected. Same tender thick cut pork, very happy to eat this. Next time I will probably get the beef, too much pork belly today Wonton soup is very classic, if you like shrimp wontons, you have to try this. We ended the meal with Hakka mochi and Oolong tea, the mochi tasted just like the ones in Taiwan. The tea was fragrant and is just the perfect compliment to the mochi. Overall an amazing meal with warm and friendly people, highly recommend!“

“Bento boxes are of great quality here. The attention to detail of this curated meal definitely lets your eyes feast first. All the little sides taste amazing, especially the candied sweet potatoes. The vegetables alternate between sweet and salty to balance out the meal. The Scottish salmon and mackerel are cooked to perfection. “We came here for lunch on a Sunday and waited for 45 mins before being seated. There were only two women working the front dining room and since service was slow, table turnovers were slow too. So expect a wait but the food was very good.

We like that they have pictures on their menus. We ordered the dan dan noodles, the chong qing noodles (my favorite), the pork chop noodle, youpo noodle, and xiao long bao. All were good and portions were large.

I do like the spicy mala flavors and that's in quite a lot of their dishes. Mild still has a kick to it, fyi.

The parking lot is too small for the restaurants in shopping area as is common in a lot of Asian areas. But there are plenty of free street parking around.“

“The best spicy Chinese Food in OC/LA area hands down! They have been Michelin recommended for a reason. Their food has lots of depth of umami flavors with a good amount of spice with a refined touch. Their none spicy broths are especially good too. My faves are their dry pots, toothpick lambs, Qiao Jiao Beef. We also like their spicy ribs and boiled fish in chilli sauce, and Mao cai. Service is great too!“
