About Joy

Joy, a well-known LA restaurant, offers delicious food with standouts like dan dan noodles, mapo, and pork belly, along with excellent savory dan bing and boba. While some may find the food slightly salty, it remains a popular choice. The eatery has a bustling atmosphere, with takeout being a common option. The modern design features warm wood tones, and the place fills up quick around lunchtime. Prices have risen slightly over time, but Joy remains a must-visit in Northeast LA, with fresh-made soy milk daily and crispy scallion pancake wraps. Despite the altered pickup experience due to COVID-19, the beef noodle soup and dan dan noodles keep customers coming back.

Thousand layer pancake with egg and basil was crispy and flaky. The basil...read full review
I live in SD, I make it a point to stop here every time I’m in LA. We have nothing remotely close. This honestly might be my death meal. Get the 1000 layer pancake.
