“Love this place and all the seating options. I only have 1 complaint which is the menu wording - “+ your choice of milk!” makes people assume alt milk is free when it’s 50c extra. We already know we have choice of milk!! just include it in the price or take it off the menu lol“

“My God I’m so grateful. I was already in little Tokyo and wanted a matcha. A quick google search lead me to this place and it’s said to be the best in LA. I think, I can agree with that statement. What in grateful is it was a Saturday evening, they work till 8pm. All other days they close at 5pm and Monday they are closed. I ordered oatmeal matcha latte , it was 6.50 and worth it“

“Totally worth the 70 minute drive. Delicious food and great Taiwanese hospitality. Friendly, attentive staff and wonderful atmosphere. Minced Pork (Lu-Rou) Rice, fully loaded delicious stewed pork with egg. Meats are juicy and tender, kinda on the sweet side. Clamshell bun (Gua Bao) comes with tender thick cut pork, a bit on the salty side, but very well cooked. Fatty but not greasy. Thousand layer pancake with egg and basil was crispy and flaky. The basil flavor is a wonderful addition. Scallion bread sandwich was what we expected. Same tender thick cut pork, very happy to eat this. Next time I will probably get the beef, too much pork belly today Wonton soup is very classic, if you like shrimp wontons, you have to try this. We ended the meal with Hakka mochi and Oolong tea, the mochi tasted just like the ones in Taiwan. The tea was fragrant and is just the perfect compliment to the mochi. Overall an amazing meal with warm and friendly people, highly recommend!“

“Highly recommend! The gluten free everything bagel was quite good, not rubbery like a lot of GF bagels. I sat at the bar and the servers were very nice and friendly. Food came in less than 10 minutes despite the whole place being pretty full. You can buy tubs of cream cheese to go and they have a small area of cute things to buy like hats, coloring books, some plates, condiments etc. Make sure you go to the pickle themed bathroom!“

“Bloom is my favorite coffee spot in LA. I remember visiting them when they first open and the atmosphere was incredibly chill and loving. On top of that their coffee’s, matcha’s and specialty drinks are really really good. Id say one of the top matcha’s ive had in LA. The shop is beautiful. Filled with flowers and cool merch. I always recommend my friends to bloom and everytime we go, its always an incredible experience. I love them.“

Staff helped me navigate to some of the best options for the profile I was looking for. “Stopped by Be Bright Coffee and ordered a cortado made with their Colombia Paola Trujillo Wush Wush Natural. The coffee had tasting notes of blood orange, red currant, honeysuckle, and tart cherry juice, which made it a really interesting coffee to experience in a milk drink.

The cortado itself was very well executed. The milk had a smooth, creamy texture with strong integration, and the body remained cohesive throughout most of the drink. As I worked my way through it, the espresso and milk continued to hold together nicely without developing a thick or separated layer of foam. The tasting notes had good clarity and came through well in the milk. The latte art could have been a little cleaner and more defined, but that’s a minor presentation detail and didn’t take away from the quality of the drink.

My main technical feedback would be the temperature. It was served just slightly hotter than I think it should have been. The flavors were still clear from the beginning, but the difference became noticeable as the cortado cooled. The coffee really opened up, and those fruit-forward characteristics became even more expressive and enjoyable. Starting the drink at that slightly lower temperature would have made the experience feel more dialed in from the very first sip.

I gave Be Bright four stars, and part of that comes down to the $10 price of the cortado. At that price point, I think the expectations naturally move into a different category. When you’re paying $10 for a cortado featuring a coffee like this, I’m expecting the execution to be as close to perfect as possible. The slightly higher serving temperature, along with the minor presentation detail, was enough to keep this one from reaching that level for me.

The customer service was excellent. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and the person working the register was especially nice and made the experience feel inviting. Overall, it was a very good cortado with quality coffee behind it, and I’d definitely return to try some of the other beans they offer.“

They really know how to brew specialty coffee right. This is the kind of coffee you should be able to drink completely plain and still enjoy. It’s not too bold, not bitter, and you can actually notice different layers of flavor in the cup.
I know there are other places in LA doing this style of coffee, but in my opinion Intelligensia is by far the best one.“

“The bresaola sandwich is the best sandwich in LA. Besides the ingredients being of incredible quality the combination is wholly original as far as I know. Bresaola, pistachios, fresh fennel, lemon cream, very crisp lettuce, and avocado (which isn’t on the menu description but seems to be a newer improvement) on phenomenal bread. It’s a very filling sandwich so I usually opt for the half at $13. The full size comes close to $30 with tax and tip but it’s worth it if you share or split into two meals.“

A chef stepped out with a dish and was taking photos outside, and on his way back we asked if it was new. He offered us the plate and told us it's coming onto the fall menu in a couple weeks. “Friend found this Taiwanese food spot near the Convention Center, which worked out for a quick dinner before the KCON concert. Not quite your usual Taiwanese comfort food restaurant, but food-wise, it's close enough. I do see this being a convenient and nice dining location for those living in downtown LA.

So you order and pay first, and then take your number to a seat of your choice. Other than your food being brought to you, everything else is self-serve, from picking out your table, getting cutlery and water, etc. You also might want to have your party all here if you want to sit together to eat. Our other half of the group was still on their way, so my friend and I just ordered first and dined at a table for two.

I picked their minced pork on rice ($12) and passion fruit tea ($4.25 with no refills). My friend ordered the wonton noodle soup and I got to try some of hers. I liked what we both ordered and can confirm it's worth ordering again.

I walked over from the convention center so not quite sure on the parking options, other than street parking and the random parking lot / structure you'll find around DTLA.“

“Bricks and Scones is just wonderful for breakfast or lunch. They don't only have scones, but they do have a great selection of them. They are all made fresh and are never stale. They are some of the best. I love the thickness of them. Add a little butter or not, and you will be in scone heaven.

They also have a super menu. We love their breakfast burrito and their eggs benedict. Their avocado toast is perfect and you will love their bagel sandwiches. They are made on great bagels.

They also have wonderful sandwiches. We love their turkey sandwiches and their turkey mozzarella pesto sandwich is packed with flavor.

They also have good salads, like their mango curry chicken salad and their regular house salad. It is all super fresh and crispy. Their prices are a tad high, but worth it for the best ingredients.

They have great coffee and any of their sweet items are really good. The place is very comfortable and cute. It is within walking distance to a few nice places and it is just a nice place to walk.

The service is very nice. It can get crowded and I don't think they take reservations, but the wait is worth it. The service is fast and very friendly. You can sit inside or our or get it to go. I bet they also deliver, but I have never done that.“

I walk in and 무풍상태 by Happy End Plus Alpha is playing. I think to myself someone here has great taste in music.

Three guys are standing behind the counter and all three instantly greet me and are super friendly. Explaining the menu and what they think I should try.

I took their suggestions and went with it.

All of their coffee has at least 3-4shots of espresso so be prepared to be full of energy.

This place is easy to miss and pass by.

If you’re headed down Sunset and see that little green building make sure you stop. This might be one of the best coffee spots in the area.“

“Wish I lived closer. As a first time customer I got a drink on the house, and they have a utopic pay-what-you-can model for future drinks. The cafe is spacious, and it’s the perfect place to either get work done or chat with some friends—it doesn’t seem dominated by either group. The baristas are very friendly and clearly excellent at their craft. They use high quality espresso, and the brown sugar latte was divine.“

“Found this spot unexpectedly and so far so good. I’ve had the banana latte, pistachio latte and have tasted the hazel coconut latte as well. All really delicious.
