“The coffee is always fresh. They roast their own coffee beans. I like the fact they have light, medium and dark roast. Dark is my go to. It has less caffeine. They are also dairy free. I tried Oat milk in my coffee, now I buy Oatmilk for my coffee at home.“

“New favorite coffee shop alert 😍 absolutely loved this place. The sugar cookie cream top latte half sweet was PERFECT! Dream latte. Also their almond milk is so delicious. Very nutty. And their breakfast burrito was absolutely perfect.
On top of it, the staff was super friendly which is always an additional star. Definitely will be back.“

“Love how I can go for a walk before/after the coffee since it’s attached to the walkway. There are plenty of sitting area outdoor.
My personal downsides are that (1) their indoor tables/chairs are so short so I cannot properly get any work done. (2) they dont have a charging station. They have one plug by the entrance but that doesnt work. So inconvenient.“

“Solid coffee window! Simple and neighborly. That’s really all it boils down to when you think about an ideal situation of getting coffee in LA. There’s too much fluff lately and I appreciate a place like this that has early hours and can do a great cortado. Max is also such a solid dude. Thank you for putting a smile on our faces!“

“This is the best coffee shop around, no question about it. Their roasts are awesome and in this time of quarantine, is THE place to get your beans if you want quality coffee at home. You can order them on their website.“

“love love LOVE this place!! i am sorely missing it now that i’m out of westwood, thank you guys for having the best matcha and hojicha lattes in westwood 🫶 this is my go to spot in the UCLA area, staff is friendly and ambience is great!!! good memories here!!“
“A hidden gem of a cafe with great people, good coffee and a awesome patio to chill/work at. I used to travel form Coffee shop to coffee shop working remotely but now I just go here. If you spend a bunch of time working at coffee shops but prefer to do so outside I would totally recommend checking this place out.“
“Was working an event close by and found this hole in the wall Cafe. The food is SO good! They're a small staff, really friendly, served to food out to me
Got the burrito w/ carnea asada and a Horchata on the side. The burrito is filling, had guacamole, beans, rice inside with onions, pepper and beets served on the side
The Horchata is so sweet , it's a huge drink too. Definitely a solid find“
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great coffee spot near UCLA, In-N-Out and the chevron gas station. The barista was super friendly and kind. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming with lots of room to sit. There was also a couch to chill on while you wait. Music was a vibe. Matcha was on point and made just right. Highly recommend checking out this new spot in westwood. If you work or live nearby you have to stop by. Located on the corner of Gayley and Le Conte.“

“Great place to do some work. There's a lot of indoor and outdoor space with really nice atmosphere. My oat milk latte was good. The BLAT (bacon lettuce avocado tomato) sandwich for lunch was also good. Service was friendly and quick! Some other notes: bathroom was clean. Charging outlets only outside, none inside. Heavily visited by business people and office workers so I kinda felt out of place wearing casual clothing lol“

“I went on May 29th for the comedy show the owner produced, Jing! The show was super fun, and the food was good as I had a decaf carmel macchiato and breakfast burrito and it hit the spot.
Really love the atmosphere she has, it's so small and comfy! If you're looking for a good coffee spot to chill or some entertainment, check this spot out!“

“Great spot for a morning coffee. The employees are very nice, the cafe is very clean. It’s located inside a restaurant I believe? Very little parking, easier to come by foot. The coffee is very smooth, will definitely come again. A+ recommend. Jesus and Fernando are super.“

“Our morning ritual used to involve bludgeoning ourselves into a semblance of consciousness with the heavy-hand of a generic dark roast. It was an effective if inelegant solution to parenthood. Aqaurela's beans provide a different experience. We are by no means coffee experts, but my wife and I were surprised by the nuances in smell and taste when we tried their Deus Me Livre for our morning espresso. It's a lighter feel; almost refreshing. The morning cup feels a bit indulgent, yet not so rich as to make your mouth feel overwhelmed. We could see this pairing very well as an after-dinner treat with any manner of desserts. The best part is that this is simply a fantastic company to work with. Quick, fast delivery. Prompt follow-up to make sure we were completely satisfied. And all questions answered - when we noted that we typically prefer darker roasts, one of the owners explained that their goal was to make a medium-roast whose flavors would still hold up to a coordination with cream and sugar. It's a throwback to days where customer service and the personal touch were still important. This is a small business whose goal of promoting independent farmers is admirable and worthy of our support. Thank you!“

“I absolutely love coming to Tierra Mia their drinks are always spot on just amazingly tasty! I got to try their new flan frappe today and my goodness I can't put it down! The customer service is always great super friendly staff. Place was pretty packed but they were quick with the drinks, I was not waiting forever. There's many places to sit and just enjoy the day chilling with your drink and/or significant other. There's always plenty of parking at this location so that's never an issue either.“

“One of the best coffee shops I had been to while staying in California. Awesome baristas who are kind and friendly. The coffee is out of this world. It’s so good and every note is extracted perfectly. A recommended stop while you are in Culver City!“
“My son gave me the gift of the enrollment in a beginner barista class which I attended this past weekend. Jacob was a fabulous teacher and the class was jam packed with information that was easy to understand and practical tips that would be easy to remember. We learned about the tools needed to make great espresso at home. The bean, the grinder, the tamper, the portafilter, the machine and frother and anything I may have forgotten to mention here. The history lesson of the coffee fruit that delivers the robust coffee flavors enjoyed daily by billions of people around the globe. The class was fun and taught at a careful pace. Also toured the facility and learned about the process of roasting coffee. I highly recommend this class! Thank you City Bean Roasters.“

“I'm surprised this place wasn't busier when I went! They have plenty of seating, great music and the perfect place to grab a coffee before exploring The Broad. I had a latte and the breakfast tacos come with some delicious side sauces. As a barista myself I can highly recommend not missing out on this gem!“

“Coffee is good here not my favorite coffee place but one of them I like their draft oat milk drinks but lately they’ve changed them around and they aren’t so good especially with this new apple drink they used to have a lot better ones. The coffee itself is good meaning espresso and the food is OK. Standard coffee stuff but their sandwiches are below average. The bread is horrible on them.“
“Such a cool place! I got an iced oat milk latte with maple (they don’t have honey, but I had no idea maple was so delicious in coffee!). The gentleman working was very friendly and the atmosphere for the place was awesome. I also go a vegan pastry that exceeded my expectations. Will be back!“

“Great vibe from the moment you walk in and there's vintage vinyl spinning. The barista (who in this case was the owner) is great, super friendly and knowledgeable. Absolutely delicious coffee and the best vegan chocolate chip cookie on this earth. Cute seating by the window in green velvet chairs. For being tucked away in a little unassuming shopping center, it's a real hidden gem worth seeking out.“

“I write for a music and coffee blog called Crooners In Coffeeshops, in which I interview local musicians at local coffeeshops. My writeup reflects the positive experience that I encountered at Caffe Luxxe on our interview date. L.A. based small batch coffee roaster Caffe Luxxe is wonderful example of what can grow from the powerful bond of friendship, specifically one that spans decades like that of owners Mark Wain and Gary Chau. Taking the chance to quit their corporate jobs in 2006, they’ve been able to fuel their business from their personal relationship and their love for European luxury caffe culture. A fun fact, Caffe Luxxe is the first of its kind in L.A. for artisan coffee preparation, and boy golly, it is not one to miss at any of its So Cal locations. The coffee world is your oyster when picking your beverage of choice from their delectable menu of drips, pour overs, and a unique variety of Bevande Di Caffe (including a chocolate-y shaken Caffe Shakerato, a sparkling espresso Caffe Frizzante, and a spiced citrus Caffe Nico). If seasonal specials are your thing, have no fear, because they’ve got those covered too! What more could you ask for?“

“Stopped by Be Bright Coffee and ordered a cortado made with their Colombia Paola Trujillo Wush Wush Natural. The coffee had tasting notes of blood orange, red currant, honeysuckle, and tart cherry juice, which made it a really interesting coffee to experience in a milk drink.
The cortado itself was very well executed. The milk had a smooth, creamy texture with strong integration, and the body remained cohesive throughout most of the drink. As I worked my way through it, the espresso and milk continued to hold together nicely without developing a thick or separated layer of foam. The tasting notes had good clarity and came through well in the milk. The latte art could have been a little cleaner and more defined, but that’s a minor presentation detail and didn’t take away from the quality of the drink.
My main technical feedback would be the temperature. It was served just slightly hotter than I think it should have been. The flavors were still clear from the beginning, but the difference became noticeable as the cortado cooled. The coffee really opened up, and those fruit-forward characteristics became even more expressive and enjoyable. Starting the drink at that slightly lower temperature would have made the experience feel more dialed in from the very first sip.
I gave Be Bright four stars, and part of that comes down to the $10 price of the cortado. At that price point, I think the expectations naturally move into a different category. When you’re paying $10 for a cortado featuring a coffee like this, I’m expecting the execution to be as close to perfect as possible. The slightly higher serving temperature, along with the minor presentation detail, was enough to keep this one from reaching that level for me.
The customer service was excellent. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and the person working the register was especially nice and made the experience feel inviting. Overall, it was a very good cortado with quality coffee behind it, and I’d definitely return to try some of the other beans they offer.“
